  1. Monetarily, I don't know, but of value for fun, heck yes! I would love to have a gs. Neat machine, and compatible with most Apple ][ software. Looks like you have both 3.5 and 5.25 drives, which makes for a great setup.
  2. 1571 sold, so now it's just the CX-85 keypad, parallel printer interface, and some misc games and the Buck Rogers TSR game remaining.
  3. Hi Forrest, not sure if you're seeing my PM reply. Go to your inbox and click on the one you previously sent me and you should see my reply there. Thanks!
  4. That's another reason I wouldn't have the heart to start all over again now. It's an entirely different environment. I got most of my collection by finding it in the wild, and that gets harder to do all the time, leaving us increasingly at the mercy of shipping companies and idiot sellers who don't know how to pack. Not to mention all the shipping costs. Blarg!
  5. If something like this ever happened to me, and it was all just gone, I would do what greg2600 suggested and just get a nice 2600 and Harmony (in my case, rather, replace the Harmony, since I have one now). I wouldn't have the heart (or money) to start over. Occasionally I consider doing it on purpose, to put 100% focus back on the playing and save a ton of space.
  6. I know, I get it, I was there too. I guess I didn't realize this was such a serious thread. Just was the dumbest game I could think of by whatever metric we're using here. I guess I was wrong! :) :)
  7. Yeah, that's a good point, but I was looking at it not from a business perspective, but more along the lines of it seems dumb to digitize a simple toy that is cheap to buy. Whether they did or not wasn't really my point at all.
  8. EDIT: I misread. "Dumbest", not "Horrible". OK then, I would have to vote Rubik's Cube. Why did anyone think that digitizing a cheap, ubiquitous toy would be fun?
  9. Sorry, I don't collect any of the items you have listed, but thank you.
  10. 1200XL is sold. Still have the 1571, the CX-85 keypad, the A8 parallel printer interface, Buck Rogers TSR game, and the 5 C64, Mac, 2600 games. Feel free to make offers.
  11. There's a lot of modern solutions to this problem on 8-bit machines (and 16-bit machines for that matter). There's a lot of info out there on each of them, but for the C64, a 1541-Ultimate-II with JiffyDOS, or a Jim Brain uIEC with JiffyDOS (you'd have to mostly use this one with only cracked or non-copy protected games though), will be about the best you can do for C64 aside from carts or making cart images. You'll still have a load time, but very significantly shorter than a stock C64 with 1541. So, there are solutions to this, but you'll have to spend a little money. Or, go emulation, which is fine with some people (I'm fine with it for some systems, not others).
  12. LOL... forgot about that movie. No, no Emilio Estevez here!
  13. Shenmue (US, NTSC) D2 (US, NTSC) Both are complete, excellent condition, with books. All 4 discs of each are there and have no scratches. Play perfectly. Pretty much as-new. I can get pics later for anyone who wants to see before buying. $50 SHIPPED for both in US48 (inquire if shipping to elsewhere). Thanks.
  14. Mid week bump! Still have the 1200XL, Atari A8 keypad, parallel printer interface, Commodore 1571, Buck Rogers TSR game, and the C64, 2600 and classic Mac games.
  15. That is DEEEEE-LUXE! Love the bit of woodgrain on that bigger TV also. Matches the VCS.
  16. Yeah, it would cost very significantly more than $6 to do that.
  17. 1571 is back up for sale, fully tested and working, and I am asking $45 shipped in the US48. Alpha Systems set SOLD!
  18. Yeah, and the cost to ship is nearly that or even equal to that, so unless it's a local deal, it renders them nearly valueless. That's why I just kept my original dead ones when I bought the Best Gold ones.
  19. The 1571 works like a champ, just tested it out. PM returned to animan99, and he has first dibs on it, then if he passes, I'll put it back up for sale with the price. I'm truly surprised no one has snatched up that Alpha Systems books/disks/Impersonator set yet. Thanks.
  20. Sorry, my PM box was full and I didn't realize it. Cleared out now. It worked fine last I tried it about a year ago, but let me test it out again after work today and I'll get back to you. Thanks.
