  1. Looks like tape to me too! LOL
  2. Oh, I'm sorry, I meant I'm sure you can find a PCjr, not a drive. I see how that sounded the way I wrote it. If you get REALLY desperate, PM me about it, but I hope you can find one that's just the bare jr you're looking for.
  3. Not really sure, to tell the truth. I guess that sounds about right. I think I would want to sell the entire setup all at once though, the monitor and sidecar wouldn't do me any good without the jr itself. And I may have the drive somewhere, I just don't know where. It's not lost, I just don't know where it is I'm sure you can find one, they can't be all THAT hard to find, can they?
  4. What do you think is a reasonable price for a working one? Say it had the monitor, full stroke keyboard, and parallel port side car, but was missing for some oddball reason, the floppy drive, but worked otherwise? Say, hypothetically?
  5. How does $100 + ship sound for both nice ColecoVisions, power supply, 2600 adapter and the 6 carts? That's about fair from what I'm seeing on these right now. Great starter set to get into CV.
  6. Put a price on the Alpha Systems set. That is my bottom dollar price on that set. Anything else, make an offer for now. Thanks.

    2600 set up

Nice setup. That stand works great.
  8. I'm putting up some stuff for sale that I thought I'd never sell, but I have some medical bills to pay off. Selling this stuff won't actually help much with the bills, but it'll make me feel better like I'm doing more to do the right thing. Growing up a little I suppose you could say. Anyway, I don't have prices yet, but when I get time I'll do more research. Until I get to that, if someone wants to make an offer, please feel free and I will consider. Just post in the thread that you're sending a PM, then send me a PM Thanks! Any questions, please ask. There will be more coming once I dig more. Atari CX85 keypad: Supra MP-1150 Parallel Printer Interface for A8: Buck Rogers TSR game. I know the dice are missing, but otherwise, I think it's all there. I can check anything you want. Never played, the pieces are all still in the card, and all the contents are pretty minty. Box shows shelf wear as shown. Also comes with a Mars in the 25th Century book which I don't think originally came with this set, and the awesome huge Buck Rogers poster. Misc games: - 2600: Basic Programming International edition (NTSC). Comes with the large international manual, cart, and LEFT controller overlay (no right). Exceptionally nice condition. - Classic Mac: Rainbird Universal Military Similator - C64: Jet-Boys, was NOS, slit open at top to remove contents. Contents are still minty, shrink wrap in place. - C64: Plasmatron, was NOS, I opened it, contents are still minty, no shrink wrap. - C64: Jordan vs. Bird One-on-One Basketball. The classic by EA! Still sealed, all minty. ------------------------------- BELOW THIS LINE SOLD ------------------------------- Commodore 1571 Drive (for 128, but works with C64 also). No power cable, but it uses the standard power cable you probably already have a dozen of since the power supply is built-in. Not perfect, a few marks, but pretty nice. $45 SHIPPED in US48. -------- SOLD SOLD SOLD --------- ColecoVision starter set. TWO ColecoVisions. Neither is perfect, but both are pretty nice. The #1 one (on left) is a little nicer than the other one. Only ONE power supply (I don't have two). Expansion module #1 to play Atari 2600 games, and 6 carts as shown. Everything works. Real nice starter set for someone. Sold as a package only, will not separate. Have a spare CV handy at all times! $100 + shipping for whole package. SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD Alpha Systems Atari 8-bit copy protection (anti-piracy, but explains cracking too of course) book/disk set. All pretty much minty except the staples fell out of the Chipmunk book. Includes The Impersonator with the card, Atari Software Protection Techniques, Advanced Atari Software Protection Techniques, Disk Pack 1000, Chipmunk Disk Copier. $125 SHIPPED US48. THIS IS A DEAL! Will not split up. SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD Atari 1200XL. Box is pretty much toast, but foams are nice and intact, comes with power supply, RF cable, manual, as shown. The computer itself powers up and displays fine, but the keyboard is mostly unresponsive. Needs the usual take-it-apart-and-clean-it routine. I just haven't gotten around to it. $75 + ship? SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD Thanks for looking.
  9. Best to let the creator explain it ... from http://www.bitfixer.com/bf/petvet "The PETvet is a RAM and ROM replacement board for the Commodore PET, and potentially other 6502 based microcomputers. The PETvet connects to the 6502 socket in your PET, and allows you to select your boot ROM via jumper settings. It also allows you to view the memory of a running PET using the replacement RAM by halting the CPU and sending the memory contents over a serial port." I don't really see any reason to have a physical disk drive. I don't really use original disk drives for any machines anymore since I have CF/SD solutions for all the machines I use. I was able to find a lot of disk images for the PET. There are several archives out there. I don't think it's anywhere near comprehensive, but rather a good representation.
  10. From what I've gathered over the years, it was very regional, which makes sense, as entire districts would contract with one manufacturer or distributor for their needs. I know that many many schools in Minnesota (where I grew up) used Commodore computers. I didn't know this at the time of course, I just knew we had PETs first, then Commodore 64s later. There were always a couple Apple ][s around that mostly the teachers and librarians used, but the masses generally used the Commodores. Then I've heard that in lots of other regions of the country, they only exclusively had Apple. I'm happy I was able to get exposure to both when I was very young, though I never cared for the Apple II at the time. Partially due to the whole "rivalry" thing, which is funny in retrospect, but also simply due to familiarity.
  11. I got it just now no problem. It must have just been a mediafire issue right at the time of my attempts. Thank you!!!
  12. I get to that point ok, but then it just never actually starts (even using the "Repair your download" thing). That was Chrome, just tried Safari and Firefox, same result. I'm not using any strange firewall, blocking software or anything else strange. It must just be a bizarre connectivity issue. Oh well. Thank you anyway.
  13. Can't get the download to actually start
  14. Oh wow! I have quite a few dozen original educational cassettes, but nothing like those.
  15. Yeah, now if I could just get my hands on one of those 8296's! :lust:
  16. Yep, you can do that with the later boards. They were really all the same board, just a few mods necessary to make a later 4032 an 80-column machine also. Cool that yours already had the mod when you got it!
  17. Yeah, I keep the 4016 at the far right end of the bar, right where it is in the pic. The other two, I keep back behind the bar for now. One isn't too bad, but once you get 2 or 3, they do suck up some good space.
  18. That sort of makes sense looking back from a modern perspective, but at the time they were released, they were every bit a "computer" within the context of the time they were released. And yes, they were plentiful in the '90s. I passed by the opportunity to pick up quite a few when schools were practically giving away pallets of them. I just didn't have the space for them, or the means to go get them. That's okay, I have all I need now.
  19. Yeah, I have no interest in having a 2001 with the regular keyboard, but would like to have a chicklet-keyboard 2001, like you, if the price was right. Not interested in paying what most ask. That's 100% pure nostalgia though, since some of the ones in my elementary school were the chicklet keyboard models, but since I'm more into actually USING them, I'm perfectly fine with the 3 that I have. They're probably overall the most practical models to have.
  20. Yep, and Beverly Hills Cop is the one to the left of that that you can just see the corner of!
  21. Well, they aren't that expensive, other than what some sellers on ebay are asking for them (not getting). Not counting the 9" 4032 on the left that I got for free (long story), I have under $150 SHIPPED into each of the other two (8032 and 4016, both from ebay, just gotta be patient), and both fully working and in great shape. Thanks to the PETvet and PETdisk, it really doesn't matter how much RAM or what ROM a PET has, because the PETvet makes any of them 32K and whatever ROM you want. Anything that sets them apart from their successors? Well... hmmm... they are one of the trinity of '77, so everything before that is pretty basic comparatively. But compared to something like a C64 or A8, they are pretty primitive. In stock form, there is no hi-res graphics, no color (obviously), primitive sound (at best, earlier versions have none), and no programmable character set. BUT... they're still pretty cool machines. I have to admit, I am completely colored by nostalgia as these were the computers I used in elementary school and pretty much cut my teeth on. It's hard for me to see them from the point of view of someone who never used one. But they sure do look cool! At any rate, mine are from L to R: 9" 4032, 12" 8032, 12" 4016.
