  1. SOLD Atari 800, 48k, fully tested, great condition. No cracks, breaks, chips, etc. Comes with the attached RF cable (no monitor cable, but readily available), power supply, and BASIC cart. (Beef Drop cart not included, I was just doing some "testing" ). Don't buy untested, or unknown condition, or a repairable, buy one ready to go. Buy from someone (me) who knows how to pack equipment like this, not from some random schmuck who will likely toss it in a box loose and cause you a world of dispute hurt. $75+ Exact shipping. US 48 only. Thanks.
  2. There's just no excuse for that. Someone needs to make that right post haste.
  3. Sometimes I'm a bit nostalgic about when I first discovered emulation for the first time. Probably around '94-'95 or so, and I found an early 2600 emulator. I was blown away, I don't think I had ever considered that anything like that could be possible. Simulation, sure, but actual emulation? Holy cow! Then I'm nostalgic for around the same time period when I could walk into any thrift store and find piles of C64s, Ataris, and even better things, for a few bucks each. Maybe that's not nostalgia exactly, but more just jealousy that I rarely see anything good in thrifts anymore.
  4. Why does he assume it's new and never used? Where's the foam? Why isn't it all neat and tidy like it's never been out of the box? I call BS. And even if it is never used, who cares? I have plenty of them just as nice that are used... what's the difference if all the packing stuff is disturbed or missing? Lots of non-collectors assume a lot of stuff, getting visions of grandeur in their heads about their great find. If it was NIB, I would say that's a good price, but in that condition, it's high. At least he's not asking a million dollars.
  5. OK, I'm going to mark this at $180 SHIPPED to lower 48 US.... I'm losing my shirt... get this before I realize how crazy I am and come to my senses.
  6. Well, if no one buys my Aquarius setup by release, I'll have to get an AquariCart 2 also!
  7. My point being obviously, that if it's in someone's back yard, they're a lot more likely to get it than if it's half way across the country. I wasn't interested either way, but figured others would certainly be interested in where it is located! (Would love to have a Tron though!)
  8. Well, unfortunately, when the "where" is halfway across the country, it's the gas and time that makes it unaffordable!
  9. Lurk on AA or lurk in the TI section? I lurk in the TI section, but not on AA. And that poll is a lot more annoying than the built-in AA one!
  10. What does Pong have to do with puppies? I don't get why they would even think of this or do this. I assume it's got to be just regular Pong in the cabinet. No way this is worth half a mil either way. That's just ridiculous. My son would love this, as he's puppy obsessed right now, but a real puppy would be cheaper than this.
  11. You probably already know about it, but if you get serious, look into the 1541-Ultimate-II. I like getting out a real disk once in awhile, but for the most part, I can't even imagine using a real C64 anymore without an Ultimate-II. And I 2nd the vote on JiffyDOS (either way). Have fun! The C64 is an amazing computer/gaming machine.
  12. Yeah, I think that's the same with many people, myself included. I can do $200 SHIPPED to lower US-48 on this package. Added all up, for someone who doesn't already have any of it, it's a bargain.
  13. Thanks! Actually, you're almost convincing ME to buy it LOL

    Today's pickup

Wow, really? I'm gonna be po'ed at myself if one day selling a Pac Man for $5 is easy!
  15. Friday night bump... will put back in the collection pretty soon here if it turns out no one wants it. We're having a garage sale tomorrow, I'm going to put the extra Aquarius computer out there to see if it gets any funny looks.

    Today's pickup

Wow that's a lot of dupes! If Al is still buying cart shells, you could offload all those commons on his. I can't imagine you'd sell through a significant amount of those commons at toy shows for any more than he'd give you (?). I've never been able to move my Pac Man, Combat, Asteroids etc carts, so I've just sent him a batch every year or so.
  17. Well, I don't know anything about drug sniffing dogs myself, but I had my suspicions, so I did like 2 minutes of research that would suggest they're not all that accurate. One number I saw was 44%, and there were other qualifications. Hey, I think I'd be happy with that success rate, if I was catching 44% of drugs in there that easily, but it's not as accurate as agents slashing through video game boxes with knives.
  18. Buy these just for the extra SID chips. For dual-SID setups or just as spares.
  19. Pretty much only rare/obscure/really cool items, as I have pretty much everything (in triplicate) common I could possibly get for either.
  20. I should add to my PET destruction story above, as far as what ebay did. The seller was non-communicative, so I called ebay to start a dispute. Seller never responded, and ebay sided in my favor and sent me a label to ship it back to the seller so it wouldn't cost me anything (other than my packing materials since seller obviously didn't supply any LOL). I was pretty happy about that. Sent it back to seller and seller refused delivery! So I called ebay, and they said when it arrives back at my house to just refuse it again and it would automatically be re-directed to ebay and they would deal with the seller directly. I was skeptical, so I asked if I needed to tell them to send it back to ebay, and they said, no, UPS would automatically know to do that. OK. So when UPS arrived, I caught the guy at the truck and told him exactly what ebay told me and he said, no, I don't know why it would go to ebay, but if you're refusing delivery, that's fine. So it went back to the seller again, this is on the left coast. Refused AGAIN! So a few days later, I get the thing back at my front door. I didn't bother to call ebay again, and it's been a month since then, so I'm sure I won't hear any more about it. The seller obviously doesn't want it, I have my money back, and what is ebay going to do with it? Done deal. Parts/repair machine. I was happy though to note that the seller couldn't even get it from CA to me in WI once without it being damaged, but with my packing, it made it back and forth TWICE with no further damage. Arrived exactly how I sent it. Yay for intelligent packing. So, ebay did come through for me, in that case. Mostly, I'm sure, because the seller was non-responsive. The seller is not even registered as an ebay member anymore. A whole string of negatives in a row got them booted.
  21. Bump for this great deal! Like I said, will consider partial trade offers, or maybe split the shipping cost or something (shipping shouldn't be very much on this though), but it's already a great deal at this price, with the Aquaricart.
  22. SEM auto interior dye would have been another good alternative, and prepping with an extra fine (I think it's red) ScotchBrite pad would have worked for that (or for paint for that matter). I'm more into cars than into computers, so that's just how I think Cool project, looking forward to seeing the outcome here.
