  1. Why don't you post your questions in the TI forum where you'll get a response from those in the know? Can a moderator please close this thread?
  2. I think $200 would be a "real good" price, so maybe start at $150. I don't know. If I really want something, I might offer lower, but not totally lowball, but that's just me. To me, $100 is borderline offensive for all that stuff that looks pretty nice. Agree on the 400 w/keyboard, that's just sexy.
  3. I'm not ill, so I guess you can't ship to me. Just kidding, this is a GREAT deal, if I didn't already have pretty much all that, I'd be all over it! (bump)
  4. Sweet, thanks. I think we should be good to go now. thegamezmaster and CPUWIZ have both come through for the hookup. Thanks though!
  5. Love my 500 and HxC. Also have HD/CF setup with 3mb, which is nice to have too. While not the ultimate Amiga, and certainly with it's shortcomings, the 500 is a great machine for games. Just get a trapdoor 512k expansion, the HxC (great investment for use with many machines) and you're good to go. Very easy to use, great value.
  6. Yep, a third on the 1541-Ultimate-II. It's close to the most expensive retrocomputing item I've ever bought, but by a long shot the best. Truly amazing device, and it does so much more than just emulate a disk drive. Honestly, until I got it, using the C64 was a burden, but with it, it's easy as heck. When I don't have much time to play a C64 game, now it doesn't matter, because anything I want is right there at my fingertips. Adds more RAM, many cartridges, freezers, utilities built-in, you name it, it pretty much does it. If my house were burning down, I'd get my wife and kid out, then I'd go back for the 1541-Ultimate-II. Maybe not, but I would think about it.
  7. I have one exactly like yours. Only reason I bought it was because my grandparents had the same thing in the '70s. It was my first introduction to video/tv games of any sort. They had the one with the external controllers though. Plus, I wanted to have at least one "pong" game. They're nice historical curiosities, and pretty much anyone over the age of about 40 remembers them. Nice that yours has a box, I just have a loose console.
  8. Holy crap! Now I don't feel so bad, I have hardly anything compared to you. My favorite bit is the "Stargate: Atari VCS Computer" poster. I've never seen anything like that and it seems so out of the ordinary look for VCS/2600 stuff. And the redundancy is so odd to me. Is that an original, or something newer, or...?
  9. A hobby is supposed to be FUN. If it's causing you stress or making you waver between selling it all or continuing to collect, or you can't afford it without stressing, I'd say that's an issue. Sell it all, man, chill, enjoy life.
  10. Wha!?!? Amazing! It's so great how all these games thought (at least by me) impossible on the 2600 even just 10 years ago are being released and attempted. Can't wait to see more progress on this... SH has always been one of my favorite games.
  11. Hooked me up with a great deal and was very accommodating! Thanks again for your help!
  12. I would return those Inty games and get my money back. Like I and others have said, seller's fault for inadequate packing. Completely unacceptable. Hardly any better than a bubbelope.
  13. Yes, and ask how they're going to pack, and offer suggestions if what they say isn't good enough (preferably before bidding or agreeing to a deal!). I just talked with someone on ebay who sounded totally clueless on how to pack a large and rare piece of equipment. Didn't realize that paper is not packing material! I had to talk her though how to pack and ship it safely. She was open to the suggestion. I didn't win the auction, but I hope it at least encourages her to pack it properly for the buyer.
  14. Yep, shipper's fault. This is how most people pack though. Too bad more games had to die because of it.
  15. I double boxed all the boxed games I am shipping out right now. IMO, the only way to truly protect a boxed game... double box, period. If it's something super cheap I might not, but anything of value, like yours, definitely. Most people don't know this or think about it though.
  16. What?! This guy's videos are going to be a huge time suck for me. A big ol' fantastic and amazing time suck. Thanks for the heads up! He posted on that video that you linked to directly that he has signed up on AtariAge.
  17. 2 to 3 hours left on my auctions. Some of them have no bids, can get them cheap. Check 'em out. I may post up more next week if I get time.
  18. I had a transaction with macintosh man and it went very smooth, great to deal with. I'll leave regular feedback too, but since this is a new member, I wanted to post it right here as well.
  19. PM's returned, we'll see what we can work out, thanks guys!
  20. OK, PM me with the details and we'll see if it will work out. Thanks.
  21. FOUND, THANKS! Long story short, I'd like to find a nice TI-99/4a for a 13 year old (he's a member here actually) who really has a strong interest in having one. Would like it to be fully working, working keyboard, with power supply. Extras would be great too, but just the machine itself would work. I know these turn up frequently enough. Just trying to do something nice for a kid. Would be shipped straight to him, not to me, this isn't a scam just to get me a TI, I already have one
  22. Hmmm... I wouldn't be totally averse to paying $50 for an Apple 2e with floppy IF it was in really nice condition AND you could test it and it worked. That is, if one wanted to own one. It would cost at least half that to ship one from an ebay seller for example. I paid $100 for mine with a drive, monochrome monitor, monitor stand, and some software and a few extras.
  23. Strange, none of my Vic's have ever had that issue (I use all my 8-bits with 1702's). It's free to try so definitely worth it! Interesting. So was the Vic's Shift-Lock key down, causing the graphic characters instead of the letters?
