Nevermind. After my post, I gave up on my google search (still no info on .pal, .vcs, .z26, or the other formats I'd heard of in my search -- I suppose they're extinct) and waded in with a hex editor... .a26 appears identical to .bin, so a rename is apparently all that's necessary for conversion..

I'm putting together a CD to burn for my DC with the two 2600 emulators and a complete rom set -- for purposes of a compatibility list, if I can find the time.

Problem is, [d]cs2600 recommends having the files in .bin format, and I've got quite a few in .a26, and possibly another format, and I can't seem to find any conversion tools.. Nor can I find any information on the formats themselves, which would at least let me try to cobble together a tool myself..

Check out [D]cs2600 as well - it still needs some optimization (speed) and it's got some bugs, but it has sound.. I may be putting together a compatibility list for it and StellaDC.. If I can get the CD put together..
