  1. First of all I don't do reviews so the following are just comments.

    1. Just got back on the forums after playing Dragon's Lair, Thexder, King's Valley and Super Zaxxon for a minute or so each (had to wait for thunderstorms to move thru the area...). Very short time for each but I'll probably will play the middle two the most.

    2. Just realized I don't recall seeing the LED light up... probably did! Not accustomed to seeing a power indicator :)

    3. The unit itself looks great. If I didn't know I'd swear that Coleco had spent 1000's of hours and a million dollars getting this ready for the market (OK so you did spend 1000's of hours Ed... ;) ) Great job!

    4. The box and packaging are excellent.

    5. Just spent some time reading the entire box (who does that!). "Packaged in the U.S.A. with Certain Materials of Foreign Origin as Specified Therein" - don't think I've ever seen that wording before.

    6. Proof of purchase... You ought to offer $5 off a game for those who cut it out and send it in :P . I'm guessing there would be NO takers! .

    7. Left and right sides of the box list future game titles. I think I read where you wanted to 'mimic' what Coleco did in the past, with a certain look and feel... You should have put a ninth title that never gets released! Vaporware!

All in all I'm very happy. Thanks Eduadro (and of course thanks to those that publish the Super Games!).

Can't wait to play Rollerball (love pinball games) and Spelunker (played this a ton on my C-64 years ago).

  2. WTF???? And that was the same damn seller from Gordonsville that also sold a Polar Rescue for $400+:

    http://rover.ebay.co...=item25790951b8

    and Star Castle for $170+:

    http://rover.ebay.co...=item257a23f72e

If it weren't for the fact that some of these games were in (apparent) mint condition, I'd swear that this was either shill-bidding or money laundering going on. Whatever's happening, this guy's sales are a perfect example of why Vectrex prices have been up up up lately. Somebody listing a game sees that a recent one went for these insane sums and prices accordingly, and bidders bid accordingly. This bubble isn't going to deflate itself anytime soon...

Makes me very happy that I got a vectrex and 12 games for $125 (then went back the next week and got another unit and 12 games (some dups) for another $125) around 10 years ago. I think I paid like 40-50 for star castle 3-4 years ago.

But I agree... when a few ebay auctions go really high then everyone thinks their copy is worth that much...

  3. I was under the impression he was shipping the game back when I paid back on February 14th. I haven't received my copy yet, but it is coming from some where in the UK, so I would expect it to take a little more time.

UK? I've always gotten the impression that he was in the Netherlands/Germany/Austria (mainland Europe) but not sure.

His email to me indicated that he sends them in batches. So make 5 then ship 5 and that he was doing PAL versions at the moment. This may be a mis-interpretation on my part so don't blame him if I'm off base. :)

Anyway - everything I've ordered from him has always arrived.

  4. Geez - reading thru this thread has made me happy that even tho I have the cart and recently got my fixed system back from Todd (Yurkie) that I haven't played this game. Sounds like it - well sucks! ;-)

Which reminds me - has decathalon ever been done in the high score club? 10 events, ten rounds or 10 events in 2 (maybe pushed to 4) weeks, decathalon champ is ??? I think this would be interesting...

Has Dam busters ever been done (actually - I played this for YEARS and could never do well at it... would like ti see the video of that...)?
