Yeah - I've tried to get this point across to the publishers - with 'ZERO' understanding. Buy a game boxed $50. Buy a game cart only $25. Box sits on a shelf collecting dust forever.... Game gets played every now and then (or more often)... What would most(?) collectors/gamers want...? I'd hope 4 games for $100 versus 2 boxed games for the same price. Then again.... Jeff

Been working 7 days a week / most 12 hours day - so haven't had time to say that I did receive my games (Thanks!). Did play each game for 4-5 minutes - enjoyed them all. Jeff

I got VERY lucky a few years ago. I went to visit my mother and found a video game store that I did not exist when I lived there. Anyway the guy had 2 Vectrex units for sale - one had 12 games the other 13. There were 5-6 dups in the whole lot. Oh and most of the games were in their boxes. I asked a price and he said he wanted $125 for each system. At the time I did not know that this was a good deal!!! I did purchase one unit and games and then the other a few weeks later. (darn - no MR. Boston in the set... did get Polar Rescue however - without a box/overlay...) Have added several home-brews to the collection over the years. This is my 2nd favorite system

Hey Coleco programmers... (from A to Z) I've followed this thread for several years and I'm just a Coleco fan with ZERO knowledge of programming on the system (years ago I wanted to learn but those days are behind me...). but to all of you (for what it's worth)... THANK YOU for sharing ideas etc here so that you can continue producing games for the Coleco Continue please... Jeff31

Hey, If you do decide to make 5-10 boxes it would be cool IF you could put 5 or so little army men inside as a bonus...! (Do they make those any more?)
-
Sweet - I like. But I'd need a special box to keep that tank in mint condition! If that 'box' came out in 83 then 99.999% wouldn't exist today (and folks would be wondering why it had 'Donkey Kong' on the inside! (Gads! you didn't destroy a Donkey Kong box to make this did you!!!!)
-
Yes - but... Got a system and 10-12 carts several years ago. Picked a few off E-Bay but then it seemed like everybody wanted $20 for commons. Got a multi-cart (excellent buy) and pull the system out once or twice every other year to play (more of a C64 guy - although that has been in storage for 4-5 years...) Jeff

Colecovision Skill Level 3 Challenge
JEFF31 replied to WispFollower's topic in ColecoVision High Score Club
I had to look up my high score after seeing your screen shot. My high score (from 30 years ago!) was 186405 Level 7 Screen 3 Difficulty 1. Can't get anywhere near that now! To old and the reflexes just don't cut it! Good score BTW!. Jeff -
ColecoVision Games - Lazy Programming? Or HL Language?
JEFF31 replied to bbking67's topic in ColecoVision / Adam
Off topic but thanks 5-11under. Was a programmer for almost 40 years and this made me LOL! -
Ed - always 'with you' in your projects. Been enjoying the SGM for a while now (loved the promo at the MGC). Jeff

And as a further thought.... I have a bunch of duplicate carts and instructions that I need to get rid of (Sell).

Been a while since I've played the GG. Got one for the kids in it's prime. My favorite was Pinball Dreams and the golf games (sucker for that type ). I've had my two recapped but last I checked one has garbled screen graphics. Need to look into that....

Didn't think of that. Add me to the list of no refunds also (if PayPal will let you ...)

'Wonderful' PayPal comes thru again.... . I'm sure there's a 'reasonable' reason while this happens - it's just that one or two 'bad apples' make it a pain for 99.9% of legit sellers... I've been lucky to never had problems with them (PayPal spies please read and note!!! Never had problems with you...)

Frankly I'm surprised that publishers put out games in the first place... It's a no win situation... Make 100 copies and 101 and up complain that they didn't get a copy. Flip it around and make 250 copies (at some big expense) then sell only 150 and then you're left with 100 unsold carts for a long time... So... Why not publish a game without a box...? (makes it cheaper) Why make only 5/10 copies of a game...? ('special' editions) Why not sell the ROM after a time...? (can't afford a boxed copy) Why don't you do a pre-order...? (seems simple enough - ya right try it) Why don't you do this...? Why don't you do that...? Know matter what you do someone else will have a better idea on how you should 'run the business'. Trust me - I've missed out on some carts (THAT I REALLY WANTED) due to finances / limited cart runs / receiving emails during 'off' hours / being on vacation / not checking AtariAge every day / etc. I wish I had unlimited funds and could hang around AtariAge / EBAY / and other places 24/7 to pick up everything... but I can't. I for one give out a big 'THANK YOU' to Opcode, Team Pixelboy, CollectorVision and all the other individuals who publish the games & make new hardware for my Coleco (and fix it when it breaks down). Jeff

Can't do it! That would be cheating . I'd rather try 10,000 times and curse Luc (and whomever came up with a particular puzzle) - that is until I figure it out and go 'WOW - how did I not figure that out!"
-
DOH! I have the Canadian version hooked up right now..... Have both a Canadian (Coleconut modded) and US (Yurkie modded) unit. Tried both and the game plays fine on both of them.
