  1. I actually couldn't believe how good this game was. It became one of my favorite games. Needless to say I played it a lot and spent many a day and night cursing those damn cobra ships. I did finally beat the game (using a rapid fire device and a boss jostick) and is probably up there as one of the most satisfying video game moments of my life. Took me over a year to finally beat and I have NEVER been able to repeat that event.

  2. My friend and I would play it two player. One piloting and firing missile and the other the lasers. In the higher levels would would run out of energy rather quickly since they throw more and more enemies at you. so we did a lot of running. Now I could have sworn there are like 10 stargate you ahd to go through and after the last one it gave you a rank if you didn't die.

  3. I like both games, but they each have their pro's and cons.

    Robot Tank:

    Pros: Weather Condition, Battle Damage

Cons: No real variety of enemies, does not feel like a true environment

    Battlezone:

Pros: Real environment, Variety of enemies

Cons: Instant death no damage, no obsticles, don't really like the idea of seeing the tank you're driving.

  4. I've never been able to do it since it requires you to super jump from the very top of the mountain. I have done it with the flame spirit and the bats appear up there too it also makes the ladders and platforms appear and disapear more eratically.

  5. Who is #11, show yourself

I don't know who #11 is, but I'm lucky #13. It was actually kinda funny. Been waiting all month for my games to come and I was hoping I would get them before Christmas. Come Dec 24 I didn't see any package at my door. Christmas day I open one of my gifts my girlfriend gave me and there they were. She had found the package before I had and wrapped them. She's so sneaky. Should I turn her in for mail fraud? I'm just kidding. Hope everyone had a good Christmas.

  6. I had an operation on my left hand when I was like 13 and it was in a cast for like 6 months and used to play one handed with the original joystick. Couldn't play games that required both joysticks though. Sucked when I went to the arcade had to have a friend work the buttons. But I could play single joystick games or games that had really simple controls.

  7. At the top of the board there is a truck that drives by. If you haven't figured out how to max out your speed. Watch Back to the Future to give you a hint. I really enjoyed this game when it came out. It gave me some hope that some companies were still making Atari games dispite the crash and the rise of Nintendo.

  8. What was the question?

    Oh yeah,

    I've been collecting since 1984

    311 unique titles

    My showcase carts would be,

    Swordquest Waterworld

Tomarc the Barbarian/Motorcross Racer double ender

Tooth Protectors (This was given to me by someone very special)

  9. Okay crash course in personality types,

Everyone fits into 4 basic personality types.

    Amiable (wants to be liked)

    Expressive (wants to be right)

Analytical (wants to be know the details)

Driver (wants to be in control)

You can also have traits in more than one areas, but for the most part everyone is predominatly one of the four.

The basic chart looks like this.

    ##################

    #Amiable # Expressive #

    ##################

    #Analytical # Driver #

    ##################

Amiables and Drivers tend to be opposites

Expressives and Analyticals tend to be opposites

From my experience dealing with people and playing video games.

Amiables are usually social people who actually don't play a lot of video games unless its in a social environment. They typically will play with other people or play MUDS and games like Ultima Online.

Expressives like adventure and puzzle games, games that have a definite goal or reward when a certain level is reached.

Analyticals like stratagy games and deep puzzle games and like to look at the details of a game.

Drivers usually like action, and shooter games. Games that are fast or games they can finish quickly.

I personally am an Expressive/Analytical. I love a good puzzle and I like to know that I did everything I could in a game.

Most of my friends fall into the expressive catagory and they tend to like the same games I do. Mainly adventure games.

One of my friends is pure analyitical (chemist by trade). He loves Strategy board games like Axis and Allies. His favorite video games are Civilization 2 and 3. He actually doesn't like a lot of the real time strategy games because they don't give him the time to analyze the situation in detail. But he won't even touch a game like Tomb Raider or Doom, fighting games forget it.

Another friend who ia almost pure driver absolutly loves racing games and sports games. will play them for hours trying to beat his best time or score. He also will play fighting games all day, but he does not have the patients for any kind of strategy game.

Most of the amiable game players I know I've met online from playing Ultima Online. You can tell an amiable by the fact that they played the game for like years and still haven't become "grand master" in any skill. They play to hang out with other people. I do have one friend who will only play video games when I am with her. I don't know if she plays because she enjoys it, but I'm more inclined to believe she plays just to spend time with me. She does play a mean game of House of the Dead in the arcade.

This doesn't mean you are locked into a type of personality because you like a certain type of game. Games are evolving and they cater to more than one personality type. Video games are also a lot like Music and Art, one game may touch one person's heart and have no affect on another.

  10. Woo hoo. I did a long time ago when I was like 13. But I haven't played it lately. did you wind up jumping over the schools of sea horses? Thats how I did it?

I always did like games with dolphins.

  11. For some reason, my girlfriend thinks I have kinky dreams all the time, so she asked me once what I had dreamed of the previous night.

I dreamed that I walked into this store and there was this very attractive girl behind the counter, she had very long blond hair, and wore a tight shirt. Our eyes met and she gave me wink. I approached and asked her if she had anything for me. She smiled and then pointed to the shelf beside her. There were hundreds of Atari Games, and ones that I didn't have along with strange but wonderful controllers. The games had really weird names, Like Cosmic crunch, and laser head, but I could tell they were all Atari games, I was in heaven. But then I woke up.

My girlfiend's only reaction was: "Hmph... So who was the blond?"

  12. I'll give you $8500.00 for it, but only if you step on it before you send it to me.

Ha ha, that reminds me of the time I went to a flea market and asked a guy if he had any Atari games. He said yeah. I have one. but couldn't remember where he put it. I just happen to look down and notice that he was standing on a Space Invaders Cartridge. Is that it? Oh yeah thats it. I passed on it.

  13. Could you be thinking of Manic Mansion for the Nes...I've heard that only the original run of carts allow you to microwave Weird Ed's hampster? Exploding rodents doesn't get the "Nes Seal", apparently.

Ha, ha! I remember that. That game was great. I was playing that game with my friend and he suggested that to me. The sick bastard. Then if you give the remains back to Ed he gets mad and kills you.
