Ape suits/alligator suits its all the same.

Here's a wacky thought. Just suppose Alligator people and Planet of the Apes are the same game; and that 20th century fox just changed the graphic to fit planet of the apes for Marketing Purposes. Kind of like what Atari was trying to do with Sabatour and A-Team.

I liked River Raid 2 better than the first. I thought it was more challenging than the first and is more versitile. You could fly slow like a bomber or fast and low like a fighter. There's distiction between air units and ground units. I also like landing on the carrier after each round.

I have the prototype Tempest label as a picture in one of my Sim's houses. Also is anyone plays the on-line game "Subspace" I made a shipset of Ships from Solaris. It makes Subspace tough to play though, since I took off the ship rotation too. I'll send it to anyone if you are interested.

Welcome aboard AtariKen. I'm actually originally from Philly. But I lived in Pittsburgh for about 4 years. That Area has some damn good flea markets. It sooooo dry where I live now. Can't find didly. Don't forget Inspector Gadgit was filmed in Pittsburgh too.

heh, when I was really poor and couldn't even afford Atari games. I would buy beagels by the bulk for like $3.00 that would last me a few days. Also perogies are cheap and they fill you up.

In Pac-Man, what I can remember was there was a board and places where you could put marbles. You had a plastic Pac-man and you had to eat as many marbles as you could. There was also plastic ghosts that would chase you. I think the object was get the most marbles you could. I think I liked the donkey Kong game better. And I don't know if you want to count this but the game Rubic's Race (Based off Rubic Cube) has almost the exact gameplay and objective as CubiColor.

I guess I accidently got my Girlfriend's little brother started. She says he looks up to me *Beams.* He's like 13 and he somehow got himself a 4switch wood grain and three games, SQ Earthworld, defender, and E.T. He really wants Waterworld and looks in awe at mine. I took him to a flea market and taught him how to haggle down some prices and told him what to look for. He picked up and Activision Checkers, Off the Wall and Solaris. He really wanted a Chuck Norris/Artillery Duel duoble ender. But the evil woman wanted $40 for it. I told him it wasn't worth it. He eventually got one at a lower price. But now he's an Atari addict in the making, but you have to start somewhere.

the game is "No Escape" by Imagic. You play Jason and you have to try to defeat wave after wave of Furies. This was one of the first games I ever got.

Damn, I gotta move back to Pennsylvania. I had much better luck finding games there than I do in South Carolina. It is just soooo friggin dry here.

Heh, I had this game when I was a kid too. I vaguely remember how to play it. I know you had to get all the pieces of the phone and then get to the center of the board. Then there was little chips that were supposed to be reeses pieces and you could hide by wearing the Ghost costume. The game the guy is showing is NOT complete theough. I remeber vividly that it came with a cardboard spaceship that you had to put together that sat in the middle of the board. Then you could stick E.T. inside and fly him around the room when you won.

Ever buy a game at a flea market or thrift shop that was soooo bad you couldn't see the label or it was deformed, but you picked it up anyway because you didn't have it. I bought Krull at a local flea market and it looked like it was set on fire or was in a fire. It actually worked eventhough it was melted. Luckily I found another one a few months later.

Wow, you really must have wanted that game bad.

Yeah, but you can shoot back after the round is over. 2 bucks is good price if its in really good condition. 8 bucks is a little muct.

Cool, I'm glad Best electronics was able to help you out. Go for the Parker Brothers collection or the Activision collection. They both will keep you busy for a while.

I just picked up Super Baseball at a local flea market since its one of those few common games that I don't have. But it seems to play exactly like Realsports Baseball. Other than some graphic changes is there any difference between the two games?

I grew up sort of poor so when I got my Atari for Christmas it was the greatest thing in the world and I never got rid of it. You could say I'm still buying games. I did stop briefly when Nintendo came out, but I never had the same memories I did with the Atari.

Heh, yeah the movie is a bit on the cheesey side. I know some of you like the movie. I just crack up every time I see the guy's expression when he "throws" the Krull at the end. Or should I say Whaffs it. The movie did have some good Mythilogical aspects, like the Cyclops character and his ability to see his own death.

My girlfriend always gets me video games. She does have a tough time getting me Atari games since I have so friggin many of them she's not sure what to get me. I usually have to give her a list. Then my other sort of girlfriend has the same problem so got me an Atari T-Shirt.

It's a pretty good game. I found it twice in the wild and got it for dirt cheap both time. It sort of follows the movie. Its set up into 4 parts basically. The first part you are at your wedding when the bad guys attack. You have to kill as many bad guys as you can with your sword. Eventually they get too fast for you and take away your bride. The next part you are riding on your horse and you can pick up Krulls and extra lives on the way if you press the button at the right time, be careful when riding across the country that you don't do it at sunrise and sunset or you will be forced to go back where you came from. Next you have to find the hidden fortress. To find the fortress you must see the widow at in the spider web. get to the white block before time runs out and it will show you the path to the fortress with a flashing dot. Run out of time and the spider comes after you. Go to the where the dot was and then it will take you to the countryside screen which will take you to the fortress. Then the last screen you fight the monster. Use the Krulls you picked up on the cage behind the monster. Break a hole in the cage so your fiance will be released. Hit the monster with your Krull and it will disappear. Once you release your fiance she will give you the power to destroy the monster. Have fun and good luck.
