Bump. I have a 50 dollar bid so far which goes to him tomorrow morning if not beat. Thanks!

If I'm not mistaken, wasn't this being used by a dentist to hold his instruments? A buddy of mine found this about 3 years ago but couldn't afford it, but he told me the story about the dentist. I sent him this over the weekend and he confirmed it's the same unit. Funny how things end up in odd places.

I'll take offer via PM, so please don't throw a bid up in thread thanks. It's still available!

You have been a member here for a long time, according to your profile page, so I don't sense a scam.
However it is kind of vague on details for such a rare item.
May I suggest posting in words exactly what you are selling?
Add details to help your sale.
<idiot> No thanks. I don't want to buy an image of what appears to be a CX-10 </idiot>
Seriously. Is the hex plate original or reproduction?
Does it function 100%?
Has it been repaired?
Has the orange paint been repainted?
Also, thanks for choosing to offer it here where the buyer will (probably) truly treasure it, and not just buy to flip.
i paid $40 for a beaten, not all working CX-10 and I have never seen an authentic hex logo.

And if if you want to say, are you in the US? (I could probably PM for info, but even eBay says where it will ship from. Helps in making a sale.)
Hi - good questions all. I acquired it as a 3rd joystick with a complete heavy sixer that also came with a pair of CX-40s and paddles with the Atari Logo on them. The Heavy Sixer was gone over by 2600.com prior to my purchase. The joystick works fine, and has that tell tale button click. I can see no paint touch ups of any kind. If you could tell me how to spot a repor hex, I'll give it another look but eveything else that came with this was original as well.
I ship from Los Angeles and am here to help, thanks!

I hope if we get down to five or six big guys that they're the quality ones. I hope this isn't spelling out Square's real final fantasies. EA, on the other hand, we can do without.I dunno what names I'd like to see on whoever's left. I bet Nintendo will be one of 'em. I'm not sure about Sony and Microsoft, though.
I think Infogrames will make it, EA will make it (unfortunately), Nintendo will make it, M$ may scrape by, and Sony will drop out. There will be others, but I just couldn't say who will do what. I don't expect Square (or should I say Squeenix) to make it through the recession intact.
Nintendo, Sony and Msoft will certainly be around. They build the hardware and I don't see any type of 'platform merger' in the works other than I'd predict Ps3 and 360 go full bore pursuing a similar motion system a la the Wii than the Wii chasing HD graphics.
Publishers only? EA, Activision/Blizzard probably are still here in their forms. THQ is certainly ripe for purchase. Ubisoft? I say they'll be around and pick up someone else along the way like THQ, Y2K, etc.
Then, and you can mark it down, Disney and Warner Bros Interactive. They're both wanting to be players and they have deeper pockets than everyone I just listed. They're around too.

Bump for the weekend crowd...

The Adam is here:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...em=350126003383
And is in REALLY nice shape. It's only missing the printer ribbon.
The 3 Atari Carts are all CIB with catalogs, manual, etc. I picked them up over the summer with something else and they really are cherry examples of these titles, they're just not my thing.
Moonsweeper:

Cross Force:

Having recently turned 38, in lieu of the economically unrealistic notion of purchasing a peppy sports car (that'll wait until I'm 50) I had recently gotten the hair up my rear to purchase an old 2600. My family was always solidly middle class, but there was that time, in XMas of 1977 where Dad came through in a major way and we were the owners of an original 'heavy sixer' that December - the ONLY ones on our block. It was one of those childhood moments of clarity when he had finished setting up the game and told me to come downstairs. I wasn't confused by the two tanks on the screen and wondering what was going on. I knew.
I have purchased a heavy sixer off of eBay. It was advertised as hving been refurbished by atari2600.com, so we'll see how it is when I get it. I'm planning to do the SVHS mod on it, and all of that seems pretty clear to me as well. If I can slip in a request for an original box for my system here away from marketplace I'd like to do so now.
So here I am, having recently begun working in the video game industry with my 'plan' to put together a fun little system. I have questions that aren't in the FAQ so I thought I'd post them here.
About packaging. I understand the gatefolds are the earliest cart boxes, simply by appearance (I remember having a few of these). How about accessory boxes? There are a large number of the keyboard controllers, for instance, available on eBay in box. Would it be date printed on the box only? Or did color or font change at some p[oint during their production. Any pages with this type of info?
How hard is it to find a text # Indy 500 with controller in a single package? Does such a thing exist? If it's text #'ed and comes with controller is it TOO gatefold? Did they do both? I ask because I'd like to put together a nice collection of text # carts with packaging, part of my comic collector geekness coming through.
As a newcomer to pursuing hardware I'm curious if old controllers, still sealed in boxes, have a tendency to not work? Or are they more likely to work than refurbs with mileage? And when I had a paddle stop working on me, sometimes it wasn't jitters but it felt like something gave inside. That symptom isn't fixed by opening and spraying(as says the FAQ), is it?
So my goal with the purchase of my new heavy sixer is a nice collection of the first carts by Atari and Activision, the peripherals that broadened the scope of the 2600 like the Starpath, a nice in box set of each type of controllers and some of the games that tried to get complex like Star Raiders and Space Shuttle. I'll NOT be new comeptition for some 7 rarity cart. Because beyond what I've stated I'll be after a few games I remember fondly: Yars, Pitfall, Adventure and the best game ever, Warlords. And yes, I am ALL OVER Midieval Mayhem.
Finally, although i entertained it for some time, but then decied against it but does anyone know if a Colecovision modded for SVHS would handle a 2600 signal through their expansion module? I wouldn't see why not but sometimes that extra piece of hardware might fuss things up. I'm just wondering if anyone knows.
BTW - I lived in the Chicago area in XMas 1977, and can swear that the sticker on our Atari box was US$276.00. I remember it clearly because of it having been 1976 so recently at that time. I know the history says $199.00, but do you think there's a chance it got marked up? It would have had to have been from a Service Merchandise. Maybe JCPenny's? I'll see if my dad remembers but I kind of doubt it.
