  1. "It also includes left and right audio connectors." I'm confused...
  2. Again here is where I bought it, left and right audio cables it says: https://www.8bitclassics.com/shop/av-cables/atari-xlxe-5-pin-din-to-s-video-composite-av-cable/
  3. This is the cable: https://www.8bitclassics.com/shop/av-cables/atari-xlxe-5-pin-din-to-s-video-composite-av-cable/ I have a massive amount of audio cables I've tried everything.
  4. I got a new Atari 800XL and ordered some cables for it to hook up to my CRT. Problem is, the right red RCA causes massive feedback sounds when plugged in. I have already eliminated it being anything other than the cable or the Atari 800XL itself. I've checked for ground loops, different speakers, etc.. I'm ordering a new cable but just in case the issue is with the Atari itself I have a question: How do I take the left white RCA cable, attach it to a 3.5mm computer speaker cable BUT have it play in both speakers MONO? I don't care about stereo I just want both speakers to make noise. I have tried many combinations with cables and it always only comes out of one speaker. Thanks!
  5. Thinking of getting a Commodore 1702 monitor for my Atari 800XL. Is it normal for a Commodore 1702 monitor to take about 15 seconds to warm up and provide a picture when turning on? Does this mean it is at its end of life?
  6. Thanks guys I have a new power supply. I will conduct a test: Use a CRT s-video connection through the LCD new power supply Changing one at a time until I narrow down the issue. Thanks!
  7. Are you saying this is normal or is this possibly something that could get worse?
  8. Just purchased an Atari 800XL with the Super Video 2.1 mod for s-video. Now, my s-video cable is on its way and should arrive today or tomorrow, so I have been playing around with composite. When the Atari has not been on for a while, off of a cold start it has a purple color to it. here is the transition: I tested this with two different cables all giving the same result Pretty sure it is not the monitor as it does not happen with anything else. Once the color is correct it does not turn back to purple at all and stays blue. Need to try new power supply to see if that is the cause This only happens if the unit has been off for a while, more than 15 minutes. So with this, I have some questions. I have a 30 day window to return this item Would you keep or return an Atari 800XL that does this? What if with s-video mode this does not happen? Is this a sign that something serious is going to happen to this unit down the line? Thanks!
  9. Another thing to add, my NES Classic as pictured runs with almost no lag at all. And I was able to mod my NES Classic and play SNES and Genesis games through Retoarch (an emulator) with no lag either. So if SNES games run great through NES Classic using an emulator, wouldn't a direct Atari 800XL straight into s-video have minimal lag as well? Or does the fact that NES Classic uses HDMI make a big difference? I guess I will know in a couple days.
  10. This small LCD TV has very few post processing options. Just things like sharpness, noise reduction and dynamic contrast. I assume set all of these to zero or off?
  11. I recently purchased an Atari 800XL with an s-video mod and an UnoCart to go with it. I also recently stumbled upon this beauty below. A Magnavox, 15" 4:3 ratio TV (it actually has HDMI too which is rare for 4:3 ratio TVs). I am worried as bit about the lag which I am very sensitive to. The easiest game to test lag for me is firing up H.E.R.O . and moving back and forth rapidly. Altirra emulation n Windows 10 on my gaming machine is quite good and lag is almost not noticeable. So my question is this, which would have worse lag: 1. Atari 800XL emulation on the Altirra on Windows 10 on a very fast computer. 2. Real Atari 800XL hardware hooked up via s-video to this tv/monitor? Here is the Magnavox tv:
  12. What are my options if I do not want to do any soldering, modding, hardware or otherwise? Just get the first cable and be happy with composite? Like I mentioned would adding the second cable (which allows me to plug into the s-video on the tv) make the quality any better?
  13. I found this awesome TV. It is a Maganvox 15" LCD TV 4:3 ratio with HDMI, Composite and S-video. Picture below. Now, I just ordered an Atari 800XL so I know that I may or may not have any luck regarding getting it to work with an s-video cable. My question is this. For arguments sake, lets say that my Atari does not work with s-video. It is revision B but the seller replaced the chip with revision C. I assume this has no effect on that. Would all I need to purchase be a DIN to RCA Color Composite Video A/V Monitor Cable for Atari 800/XL/XE? I messaged the Ebay user and he suggested I also get an Male Mini DIN S-Video Monitor Adapter to Male & Female RCA for Atari 800/XL/XE because my s-video pictured below has 4 pins. Is the only reason he is saying that because he assumes my Atari 800XL can handle s-video? Or would running a composite cable to an s-video cable into my TV improve the signal somehow?
  14. I might need to ask this again or rephrase. Does UnoCart recognize .zip files?
  15. Just purchased the UNoCart and while I wait for it to arrive I wanted to work on my SD card. Does the UnoCart support zip files? If not, I open some of these zip files and see many choices. For example, I open up a zip file and see the following: Bounty Bob Strikes Back! (v1).atr Bounty Bob Strikes Back! (v2).atr Bounty Bob Strikes Back! (v3).atr Bounty Bob Strikes Back! (v4).atr Bounty Bob Strikes Back! (v5).atr Bounty Bob Strikes Back!.dcm Bounty Bob Strikes Back!.rom Which file do I add to my collection? The rom file? is that the most up to date? I assume the (v1, v2) are versions? Thanks!
  16. Does anyone have an old, non-working Atari 800XL that would like to get paid by me to turn it into a working USB keyboard in Windows that works with the Altirra emulator and the controller ports would work too? Think of this like a Commodore 64 "Keyrah". I have seen it done before but would love to pay someone to do it for me.
  17. I am on the west coast, Los Angeles. I want to buy an Atari 800XL or 130XE. I need to make sure it will work with an s-video cable. In Atari 800XL versions produced before August of 1984, this cable will not work. This can also be checked with the version of Atari BASIC (This would be listed as Rev C but not all Rev C versions support S-Video) Thanks!
  18. In excellent condition. Ships from Los Angeles. https://www.ebay.com/itm/192506929224
  19. Getting the unocart soon!
