Yea, if you could find one of those. I was thinking of a CD-ROM too.

I was thinking a 1800XLD due to the number of things I had planned for it but we will see.

Thanks brenski,
I think those dimensions are very close if not spot on. I think trying to make a mass case would never happen. Even 3d printed ones would be pretty hard. The plastic texture for one would be different for one thing and you would need a big printer to print that case.
This has been talked about before.

Hey guys,
Anyone have the dimensions of a 1450XLD? I can't find them anywhere.
-
I did see that link but and correct me if I'm wrong, no one made any of these for sale.

No I don't want to put a pi in it, I have a laptop motherboard I'd like to put in but I want to use the original Atari keyboard if possible. Then it will be a PC with Atar8 ans ST emulation.
-
Sorry, it's not a USB version but a Raspberry Pi 65XE.

Anyone know of a adapter to make a 1200XL keyboard work as a USB? I have seen 65XE's but not for the 1200XL. Oh, I know I can wire it right to a doner usb keyboard interface but I was trying to avoid all the mapping and wiring like the guy who did it to a 800XL..

Hi!
as promised - its time for me to start preorder on ultimate expansion
to sum it up - its a 1mb memory module containing 4 OS slots, basic, missle command (or any other 8k game) for xegs, and sparta dos x with RTC module
all of above is flashable, and if some features are not needed - can be disabled by setup program
I also want to thank to DLT team for their work on SDX and porting SDX to Ultimate1MB
also for RTC drivers for SDX
and Hias, for his setup utility for easy configuration of Ultimate1MB module (this part hasn't been written yet, because I have to send Hias his Ultimate1MB board)
Ultimate1MB was designed to fit in any XL/XE computer, including 1200XL and XEGS - there are no versions as such, the only diffrence might be with lenght of ribbon cables it connects to motherboard
price is estimated on $56 (160pln) and should stay there
i need at least 25 boards to start production run
one thing more is to choose manufacturer of PCB
there are two options
- cheap one - not that bad, but certainly won't survive any repairs if come to such
- quality one - as seen on vbxe boards, comes with electrical test from pcb house, and can withstand much more than the above
diffrence in price shouldn't be more than few $(4-5 at most per board), and certainly ease my life during the assembly if going for quality one, but everyone has to go for this option (or at least majority)
preorder will close with end of march
I'll take one, possibly 2 depending on the price.

Hello,
It is a RTC.
And the parts used are the same as in a design I've made long ago.
I've attached the schematic diagram and the driver software for the design that I've made.
The datasheet for the clock chip should also be available. (And I will have it somewhere as well)
All data should enable you to use the parts.

Thanks guys, I thought thats what it was. It's taking one of the slots so it doesn't have the full 48K of memory.

I would like to know how the hinge was made?
-
Maybe if we get enough poeple together, someone will make them for us.
I'm quite interesting on this too. Sad it's not 100% compatible and "just" 99%.i found it quite interested, specially after being addict to clicky keyboards.

I have a link to a person who made a PC keyboard work on a Atari 8 bit. Has anybody done this?
http://members.aol.com/MacFalkner/atari/aki/index_e.htm
The link seems to be old and I was unable to contact the person.

Thanks for the link but I think it's down. I have been trying to contact mega-hz for sometime. Does anyone else sell these? I'd really like to get one.
So when are you gonna release the jedec code and/or offer the pre-programmed PLD?Many many apologies! Too much work and not enough Atari makes me forget what I have to finish ...
I am still writing up information on wiring, but that's the start..
I found this message on the other thread. Just to be safe, it's your 512kb expansion for XL already finished and "production ready"?

Where are the schematics?

EDIT: Found this http://mega-hz.no-ip.com/ATARI/ATARI%208Bi...re/512K%20SRAM/

Now thats wht I really needed. Thanks, I just ordered some.
I knew they were on old video cards but I threw them all away a long time ago. Funny my wife still calls me a packrat.

I also am interested in upgrading my 600Xl. The problem I'm running into is I can't find any 4464's here in the states.
I have 4164's and 41256's but no 4464's. Will the 41256's work or maybe someone can point me to someone selling them.
Thanks

I'd be interested in 1 or 2 also.
