  1. Or you could get a brand new PS2, they're cheap enough now and backwards compatible, that way it's not a lotto on how long it works. Just a suggestion.
  2. Great work! I've subscribed to your youtube channel now, I must say I'm very impressed with how professionally done that video was!
  3. I know I'll get shot down for these, but I don't care, it's my opinion... Any of the megaman games, and Super Ghouls 'n Ghosts. Just too damn hard in my opinion.
  4. Only system I'm 100% sure can't be upgraded to have a faster CD-ROM is the CD32, but I suspect the answer would be the same for most, if not all classic CD-ROM based systems.
  5. What about Pinball Dreams, Pinball Fantasies and Pinball Illusions? I know they needed something a bit more modern than an 8-bit, but I played them to death, they were great fun!
  6. Super Mario World!!! The Donkey Kong Country games.
  7. Maybe he shouldn't turn of comments, but i hate to say that a lot of people even can't give a positive feedback to him about how to make better video's. I mean look at the comment some people write at news articles, wishing that that cop was hit because all cops are bad, or similar things. Looks like a lot of people can't behave online, guess that if they where sitting next to the same person they wouldn't dare to say the same things. That's a good point, there are scores of keyboard warriors out there, and while I wouldn't class someone attempting to correct factual mistakes as being one, the fact remains that a lot of people seem to think they can say whatever they like online, things they wouldn't have the guts to say directly to someones face...
  8. I got asked that recently, "how do I hook up my DVD player to my TV?". What really blew me away was that they couldn't work out how to do it using a HDMI cable!?! How hard is it to plug in ONE cable, and to select the HDMI Input on the TV?!?
  9. Or dumb idiots referring to games for Amiga, PC, and other disk-based systems as "roms"! Argh!!!
  10. Ahh, thank you. While I wouldn't say it looks great, I know I couldn't do any better, in fact I think my 4 year old son could do a better job then I could, so I can't really judge. Besides, after reading what nathanallan said, to me those things are more important then a pretty web site, lol.
  11. What's the link, so those of us from outside of the US can also have a laugh?
  12. Oh, what a shame he's been banned, just as I finished the rommaker he requested. Only works under Windows 3.x, but it's a start. If he ever sees this, all he has to do is copy and paste the following into notepad, then save it as ROMMAKE.EXE and it's ready to go: -----START HERE------ hipj569jhityhmeih9j65e8he6hu j8hj65 58gh7eh5 r47eowg5rgnh wspgnr uwerhbg trgtrhhyh[ty][h] ty[][ jty]jyteshtiy hoswjhit6mhi5emhi9ej594jq2qeqe btr h9405u8tj54htkrsngy8haw8f erger heruhg ueawghergwAOERBAAERO BNERUNREGNERUNjigepjgtrssj gtr j8pjtrsghtruihst6434haoierj0e4a034u4903tu5895y gtry j54t u5ng n547h5 5hg5nelsjgstrngtrsnjsnbjtbgn jfgsnohraernegresrgrerree okoerp[ko e[kergjerghpr trkfdl;sklsdfjklghjkghkjsdjkfljklsda ergue9gu48u8tjggjdifjs8h6rehgdfjvbd9sjpvjptbstkjb9t0tbh9tbr[ktr jtrpjshj trjs8pjstr 8s9jtghps strj8jh trsjh rpsjth htrs[t90594j54 erg,dfs ------END HERE------
  13. Pics would be very much appreciated by all I'm sure!
  14. I remember being very disappointed with this, mainly because it ran so slowly it was more like a slideshow then a game. But then I didn't understand the limitations of the system it was on, and now, with that in mind, it's an impressive job they did. OP: as far as I'm aware, there was no region lockouts, and if you're getting the other PAL games to work on your NTSC system then this one should work too. It seems to me that the cart itself may not work, have you tried opening it up to make sure everything looks as it should inside?
  15. Commodore CDTV - 1x CD-ROM Commodore A570 CD-ROM add-on for A500/A500+ - 1x CD-ROM Commodore Amiga CD32 - 2x CD-ROM
  16. Hahahaha I hadn't seen that before, thanks for the laugh!
  17. I'm a little surprised how often that page has ben edited to be honest: http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Donkey_Kong&action=history Also looks like the goose who made that "creative" edit didn't stop at just that one page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/206.174.127.91 Another example: I guess they didn't know or understand that all the edits would be tracked along with their IP address, which goes to show, do something stupid on wikipedia and you can't easily hide (although of course there are ways around this).
  18. Awesome, thanks for the heads up, I'm in Mitcham, so I'll have to go check that out, might even bring my camera! You don't think they'd notice if some of the collection was 'liberated'? LOL
  19. With all due respoect, I can't understand why it is that you think this. Sure it had some room for improvement in it's earliest versions, but by 1.3 it was actually fairly decent, and 2.0 was a MASSIVE leap, and it's only improved by leaps and bounds from there. While I concede that TOS/GEM does have some good points, the main one being fast booting to a GUI, I am yet to be convinced that it's lack of flexability and features (compared to Workbench) makes up for it, but that is one of the reasons I'm here, because I enjoy the work that those at Atari did back in the day, and would like to know more about the ST line, along with TOS and GEM. The way I see it, a computer operating system is just a tool to get a job done, and it's a case of using the correct tool for the job. So for some jobs, the Atari machines running TOS/GEM were the correct tools, for others, the Amigas running Kickstart/Workbench. Very much like a rake and a hammer, both great for a particular job, but not so great for the job the other tool is designed for. Besides, one of the main selling points I've seen in this thread time and time again for the ST is price, now that price is no longer an issue, these machines should be compared on their own merits in my opinion. Pleast note I don't consider the ST "crap", I'm willing and eager to learn more about it and it's advantages, I'm not a blind fanboy of the Amiga, just at this point in time I have yet to be convinced that the ST was a better machine. Just like some here might be quick to tell me to actually use a particular application on an ST, for those who think the Amiga is "crap", I urge you to try out programs such as Personal Paint, Photogenics, Wordworth and Final Writer, just to name a few, on a more recent Amiga setup, such as an Amiga 1200 with some fast RAM and Workbench 3.x. After you've done that (please, for more then 5 minutes), THEN decide what you really think, rather then just writing off the whole line due to experiences you had many years ago on very early revisions of the OS. If someone who thinks the Amiga system was so bad, then this will either confirm this in their minds, or, gasp, they might even see why some of us would rather use this system over a 'modern PC'. And if anyone wants to suggest what I should try on an ST to show me it's advantages, I'm happy to give it a go
  20. No, that's next door. This is getting hit on the head lessons.... desiv No it isn't... See the following link for more information: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=teMlv3ripSM
  21. lol wasn't that mid nineties, i.e. the ST was already dead (commercially)? Next thing you'll be raving about NASA and that chap from Mary Poppins and Diagnosis murder being a Amiga nut! I was thinking of the Cyberstudio suite, which paved the way for modern 3D packages. Were all those tv things done on early Amigas? Good god they must have had the patience of saints! The rendering must have taken decades.. Babylon 5 was rendered I believe using Lightwave and renderfarms, so not just on a single Amiga, but a whole bunch of them networked, and I could be wrong but I think they also used a Raptor or 2, which was a super fast (for the time) CPU + RAM designed for that sort of work.
  22. Wow, impressive, I wasn't expecting the framerate to be so high! Well done.
