  1. I was just at CGE 2K14 and picked up an Atari 5200 Multi Cart... all I see is the Atari Logo for a few moments... and then nothing but garbage graphics. Sometimes it freezes up. Is there anyway to fix this? I have cleaned it extensively and still the same result!
  2. Hey I have a weird question about this topic (at least I hope it fits here) ... I have a Super Disk Interceptor for my Super NES, it plays games from old Floppy Disks. What Format does the ROM have to be for the Super Drive to See it? And How can I split up larger ROMS to go on Multiple disks?
  3. MY LORD... The sound is INCREDIBLE!!!!! I'll take 5 of these!!!!
  4. OH, thats good to hear that there is a composite video mod! As for the Voice module, I found a few on eBay, but they are untested, so i am hesitant for now. I'm hitting a local shop here on Friday that I am told has a TON of O2 stuff. So I may be having another Christmas!!!
  5. Perfectly working unit with 2 perfectly functional black controllers (red Buttons). Also picked up 4 titles. Pick Axe Pete, UFO, Thunderball and Freedom Fighters. I ordered a KC Munchkin off of eBay... should arrive shortly. So far, I am loving it, the games are so simple and at the same time are so FUN!!! I had a hard time putting down UFO and Pick Axe Pete!!! Any other great games I should pick up or look for? Are there any which I should completely avoid? How much to the voice modules usually run? So many questions... sorry... I get excited when I get a new console!!!
  6. would anyone have already converted WAV files that run on an MP3 player? Because I suck at converting them...
  7. Does anyone have already converted WAV files that work with an MP3 player? I would be grateful if someone were to send me some files.
  8. I tried to use CAS2WAV... But every file I tired said it could not open the file, so I gave up on it, and am now looking for actual tapes that run. It was just too hard converting them and trying to make them run through an MP3 player. I don't really know what games are good, but I hear there is jr pac man, zaxxon and rampage, so I would definitely like copies of those if you have them.
  9. Well, after my attempt to convert .Cas Files to .Wav for playback was unsuccessful... I'm looking for actual tapes to run on my Atari XE. I know the loading time is bad, but I've never played a video game on a tape before and want to experience it for myself. I can provide blank tapes if someone would like to copy some games for me... Will pay for prerecorded tapes.
  10. Thanks guys... I'm still a newbie with Atari Computers. Didn't know I had Missile Commend built in until recently... LOL.
  11. I have an option to buy a Atari 410 Tape Recorder in good working order (Supposedly) and wanted to know if it will hook up to the Atari XE, and can I load Tapes?
  12. Problem sorted... I found a new set of paddles and it works now!
  13. I can play Kaboom and other games with them... but one has something rattling around inside... I probably need new paddles.
  14. Can be in box or not. With or without instructions, doesn't matter, as long as the cart works! Name a price! (I can use PayPal)
  15. are these MODS for the Atari 5200 Controllers? To make them better, or not break down as much?
  16. are you still taking orders for these pieces of awesome???
  17. I just got this, and can;t get it to start. I've tried both ports on my 7800... maybe my paddles button is messed up?
  18. No go even with a thorough cleaning, inside and out... I think I'll have to track down another unit. Fortunately they are not expensive.
  19. Volume lowers the static, but doesn't clear it it up at all. I may have to track down another unit.... Sounds like I got a bad one.
  20. any intellivoice owners have issues with loud static? Mine works for a few minutes, but then loud static will begin. After it fades out, none of the voices in the game (Space Spartans) work, they either don't play or are static themselves. Resetting the Master component doesn't clear it up. I've thoroughly cleaned the module, game cart and master component... I still get the same results. The static happens even when I play a non voice game through it. Could the module itself be faulty?
  21. I found an Intelivoice module on amazon, it was complete in box but smelled of old pipe smoke. Anyway, the unit itself is in great condition visually, but it seems messed up. I only have Space Spartans, and the boot up voice is fine... but the in game voices quit and all I get is loud static throughout gameplay. Game plays fine though. is there something I can do to get the voices working like they should? or should I look for another Module?
  22. Just making a suggestion here, but I found my display (even on a plasma) looks 100% better when the 5200 is hooked up through a VCR with Coaxial. (with the VCR hooked though Composite. I went to a local flea market and picked up a working VCR just for this purpose, everything looks great now! As for your controller issues, I find tapping the stick lightly gives you more precise shots.
  23. I have a copy of Centipede that just today started acting strangely. It began playing fine until I shot the first Spider then froze, hen glitched out. I shut off the system and cleaned the cart thoroughly and tried it again. It gets past the Atari Logo then glitches out and makes a loud hum. Then I tried my copy of Pac Man, and on the Atari Screen it says APACAPACPAC where the name of the game usually is... then freezes and doesn't work. Strangely, these carts worked fine before, and they are the only two carts that behave like this. All my other games are fine so I ruled out it being a problem with the system. My only conclusion is that these two carts are dying out. Are they? and is there anyway they can be restored? I cleaned both carts but they still behave the same way. This only happened one other time with my copy of Joust... when I booted that one instead of it saying "JOUST" on the boot screen it said "!!!!SENPAI!!!" and crashed... but that was only one time and never happened again.
  24. My Review just went live on www.gaming-age.com Tempest Review for Atari 5200
