Same problem here in Holland. My wife bought her 4-switch Atari 2600 and some 10 cartridges in Holland about 25 years ago. Lately we cleared the attic of her fathers house and reinstalled it. To our surprise it only plays in black and white now. My wife insists that it used to play in color. We tried different color TV's, one a color TV that is also about 20 years old. I guess this Atari 2600 is a PAL machine and so are the cartridges. I added a picture of the motherboard. It says 'ASSY CAO 2600AP rev ATARI 8352' on one side of the motherboard and '1981 C017879 rev. 6' on the other side. I tried all the hints in this thread but none of them helps. The view is crystal clear and the color switch does change the gray-tones but does not give a colorview. Any help is appreciated.
