  1. I have actually started a serial/parallel card board design. The original one is pretty outdated and undocumented. It would take a long while to decipher the design. I also have not seen the .rom file for it. Ken
  2. MIO just tests the console keys, no others. Ken
  3. the Help key is also used by the Supra/KP HD Interface to use disk 2 as disk 1 if held down at boot time. Ken
  4. but it would open up all the available plugins in the 1090. but yea, still at sio speeds. Ken
  5. that would be cool but it would need extra things like the PBI code in rom somehow. also might as well throw some ram on it too at this point we are almost at incognito level. not a bad idea tho, I love it when people have ideas. Ken
  6. that really is a thing. I think I even saw somewhere that atari was going to do that.
  7. the 400 and 800 do not have the PBI code in the OS ROM to handle it. the incognito has the PBI port I think, there is a 50 pin header. maybe the os rom on that has the code for it. the cable between may be a problem because of length. I would try if I had an incognito but sadly I do not. that is also NOT a plea to get one. I have many other things going on right now. Ken
  8. that could be done. I would rather do most of it in a cpld or fpga cuz the discrete logic chips are getting quite expensive. but it would definitely be cool. Ken
  9. does anyone have the actual original manual that came with the Supra Interface? that would be a really good find. Ken
  10. absolutely awesome work reifsnyderb! Ken
  11. hahahaha! I just thought that was funny
  12. commodores used the 1MHz ones. Atari stuff should use the 2Mhz one or better like the WD stuff and should be available from Mouser or Digikey. Ken
  13. yea, there is a Happy mod for the 1050 and also the us doubler from icd which has been duplicated much over the years. there is another mod available for the 1050 that incorporates a lot of the 1050 nods that have been released over the years, forget the name right now tho.
  14. I agree. there was/is the Indus GT that has cpm and also the ATR8000 and both provide a usable cpm environment tho I do not know how good. the 80cvc was a lot of guesswork and hoping tho the schematic was actually correct. I tried to do the board layout as close to original as I could. anyway, I think the top 3 20 pin chips are buffers for the memory board access, LS245 and LS244. that is my take after a quick look earlier. Ken
  15. yep, they don't match. good thing I did not start to put it in kicad. that would have driven me more nuts then I am. Ken
  16. you can leave that blank and the 64K will work. atari had future plans I guess but clausb stepped in and filled in the blank. he posted a schematic that populated that location and then swap the ram for 256K chips and you have a 256K ram board. I never tested that tho but will sometime in the future. Ken
  17. so ijor, did you ever find a place to host the big files for this? it would be really nice to get a print made.
  18. since the 1090XL is an open project (https://github.com/kenames99) it would be real cool to make this work thru the PBI on that.
