My first taste of video gaming came from the Atari VCS in 1985 when I was 4.
Not sure what the first game I saw was but my strongest memory is watching my cousin Geoff play Night Driver with an actual steering wheel and gas pedal.
I had to have one. XMas of '86 I got one.
I've always loved the Atari and mine got solid use between 86 and 92, when it died. I was never able to find another. Then in '99 while looking on the internet for classic games to download I learned about emulation. Emulation kept me satisfied for a while, but it's just not the same, but I did get to play some great games I'd never heard of. However luckily I was able to pick up a 6-switcher from Zylon here on the boards recently and my Love for Atari has grown all over again. Emulation be damned. Now I just need to get some of the great games I've discovered like Superman, wordQuest Waterworld, Adventure, California games, Ms. Pac-Man, Millipede, Etc...
