  1. Have you played the arcade upright before or just in Mame? It's definitely a rare bird - *never* recall seeing one and I was a arcade whore! Definitely looking forward to this project!
  2. I know probably not an easy to find but you never know....
  3. Thanks CS.. Still hoping to find the cart version....
  4. You are building quite the collection! Sadly, my collection is devoid of any black and whites I almost won a Atari Canyon Bomber sometime back ---- curse you snipper!
  5. You know I played a butt-load of Space Frenzy this past weekend. I honestly didn't think it was too bad... the one thing I liked was the difficulty was toned-down compared to the arcade counterpart which sometimes is absolutely brutal and unforgiving!
  6. Has there been anybody else that made overlays and had them for sale to the public? I thought I saw a dude on here that made one for War of the Worlds... don't know if he offered for sale though. I wish I had the *know how* for this - clearly there is a demand! In my case moreso for the homebrews..... I have no problem spending the $'s to get these done.
  7. Guys I'm looking to see if someone wants to unload Sectis for the Vectrex? I was unfortunate to get into the Vectrex scene late and miss out on some great homebrews!
  8. So you're the one that is bidding against on Playmeter magazines! Till this day VG CE is still hands down my favorite!
  9. When I was collecting vintage Star Wars items (still am), and this *so-called* company came into fruition; I just knew it was going to be a mess for a potential buyer. I'm not saying in it's entirety, but gone are the days of picking up items reasonably priced. Now, you get Tom, Dick and Harry giving their items to be *graded* and putting a %50 markup price. What a joke! What's really sad is people fall for this stuff! Not to bag on NES fanboys, but they are making some dough of you! Actually, it's also in the Star Wars collecting market as well somewhat... It comes down to guys like you and me that grade these items and were suppose to believe these guys are the 'all and end all' for grading items <------ right...... I heard a rumor that the guy that does the AFA grading is the brother of the VGA grading.... Bahaahahhahaahaaahaha - shysters!
  10. Doing a little more research.... looks like this box was relegated to Europe.
  11. I talked to someone on Usenet way back when that claimed to have a Fright Night. I got the impression he knew someone that was involved w/ the project. Lost contact w/ him and to this day can't find anymore info... so maybe he was full of it.
  12. I would be all over a Atari Red Baron port! My really want list are Zektor (sequel to Space Fury) and Qb-3 (rare Rock-Ola arcade).
  13. I'm a noob when it comes to any Atari Lynx items (saddened to say).... Anyways, I love Batman Returns (one of my favorite flicks) and embarking on entering the world of Atari Lynx. My question to you guys is this particular auction. Is this Batman Returns box differ from the North American one? Is this box exclusive to the European masses. http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-53200-19255-0/1?ff3=4&pub=5574883395&toolid=10001&campid=5336500554&customid=&mpre=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fitm%2F200956666660%3FssPageName%3DSTRK%3AMEWAX%3AIT%26_trksid%3Dp3984.m1423.l2649 Thanks fellas!
  14. My arch nemesis - Melody Chase! Scalpel, I have sent you a pm.....
  15. I see a lot of Funware items have shown up recently on Ebay. (I need to find St. Nick w/ the box that doesn't look like it's been run over by a truck!) I was looking through the completed listings, can anybody explain this enigma to me? http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-53200-19255-0/1?ff3=4&pub=5574883395&toolid=10001&campid=5336500554&customid=&mpre=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fitm%2FTI-99-4a-Cart-St-Nick-by-Funware-Extremely-Rare-%2F130951706274%3Fpt%3DUS_Vintage_Computers_Mainframes%26hash%3Ditem1e7d5476a2
  16. Sorry I don't have any pics so I'm going off my recollection. The computer was the size of one of those mini refrigerator units (like you had in the dorms). I definitely remember seeing a Texas Instruments logo on the case. One other thing of note were the size of the software disks - I swear these things were 10 inches wide! We unfortunately tossed this thing when we moved in the '90s. I guess dad got tired of lugging this beast around... What was this John Doe of computers? I couldn't find anything via Google....
  17. Awesome video Todd! You have one on your video I would love to get my hands on (Pool Shark)! Used to play one at hole in the wall bowling alley longtime ago! Haven't seen one since - not an easy game to find!
  18. I did notice I did receive an email in April. Wondering if that was the email Eduardo was alluding to....
  19. Seems I'm in the minority, but I liked Frogger II Threedeep. It's different for sure....that's why I like it. My choice would be Rocky. Beautiful graphics BUT.... I was hoping for a little more variety and different opponents. Maybe my hopes were just too high.
  20. I'm not sure I received one either.... and I was on the first run.
  21. I noticed the last few Blue Thunders I've come across were part of lots on Ebay. You're not kidding on that boxed power supply; I've been still looking for it - 2 years and change! Missed out on one in a auction sometime back and one was part of a lot the seller wouldn't break up. Back to Blue Thunder, did anyone recall seeing this in the store shelves bitd? I bought all of the games bitd when they were being blown out for cheap. Blue Thunder was always the missing one in the stores (at least in the midwest).
  22. Blue Thunder is pretty rare... took me awhile to find that one - good luck!
  23. Yep, I can attest to this game being very difficult! I would safe to assume this is why this game bombed in the arcades... I was told by one of the better Space Dungeon players is the key to great scores is to focus on visiting *all* the rooms and not really concentrate on getting all the treasures - which is still a difficult task! I really wish they included some smart-bombs that wiped everything from the screen and not lose all your treasures when you die... I actually own all the guts for Space Dungeon; I really need to find me a cab for it! BTW: If you this is tough you should also try Taito's Kram and Electric Yo Yo.
