Just need the manual for the Vectrex console itself... thanks anyway.

I think Tommy is the best offering that came out of Data East's house. I agree that some of these Data East games of this era do rely on the ramp shot a little too much. Honestly, is that a bad thing though? Case in point you mention Star Wars (which I would love to own for a "decent" price). Even if the gameplay relies on that ramp shot too much; I would take Data East's Star Wars any day over that mess Sega put on which was mode-based. And I'm not alone in this premise.... Austin, I got a game for you that you'll love and it's a early D.E. incarnation. Have you ever played Laser War? Try it..... Some of other D.E. gems: Tales of the Crypt Time Machine Laser War Last Action Hero < don't let this fool you Jurassic Park - My second favorite Star Trek I know some people love BTTF - not really a fan. About Gottlieb: I'm also a fan of Gottlieb BUT not really in the Dmd era.Still love the System 80B stuff! BTW I have a TX Sector and a Genesis. Gottlieb to me was at their zenith in the early '80s \

But you get to see a great picture of a medieval knight w/ some medieval armaments!

I also thoroughly enjoyed your podcast - especially the pinball talk! As a owner of 2 Data East pins (Phantom of the Opera, Batman); I would say I love their lineup of pins! In fact, I would say some of these compete w/ Williams' offerings! I've played a TMNT before, while not a bad pin, it wasn't one of the best Data East products unless you're a die-hard Turtles fanatic. The one I put some time in played like a champ... maybe that one wasn't setup or dialed in correctly?

Mine was missing and trying to make my boxed Vectrex complete. Besides the manual and the Passport flyer, what other paperwork came w/ this initially?

Kick myself for not getting that one on Ebay awhile ago!:/ I imagine these are pretty hard to come by these days but w/ the influx of the "4" models I've seen on Ebay - you never know!

I'll play... memory is a little fuzzy though! Atari 2600: Combat (pack-in) and Target Fun and one other Sears' game? We were a Sears' family! TI 99/4A: This was my dad's so not really sure on that one. Colecovision: DK (pack-in) and Smurf. I wanna say another one on that but can't remember Atari 5200: picked up at a garage sale around '85 or '86. Came with boxed Joust and Kaboom. NES: I remember getting this at first week of launch. I had the deluxe set w/ Rob and came w/ Gyromite and Duck Hunt. I believe I also got Popeye??? Sega Master System: Hang On/Safari Hunt. I think my next title was Space Harrier. Genesis: Got this a week after launch (had a hard time finding one) Altered Beast, Last Battle, Space Harrier 2, Super Thunder Blade. Snes: Didn't get one till a full year later. Super Ghouls n Ghosts and Castlevania 4 Playstation: Some demo disc, Destruction Derby and Twisted Metal N64: Sole reason I bought this was for Goldeneye and Shadows of the Empire PS2: One of the Gran Turismo games (pack-in) Don't remember after that Neo Geo: Got this around 2001. Magician Lord, Nam 1975 and Art of Fighting Xbox: Halo and some Mech game.

What Genesis game are you playing right now?
schuwalker replied to MagitekAngel's topic in Sega Genesis
This thread needs a revival! For the past few months I've been concentrating on my Genesis collection. Filled a lot of holes in collection lately! Twin Cobra: I recall renting this once or twice at the local rental store when the Genesis was at it's zenith. You know what? Not bad! Tough as nails but really love the audio! Undeadline: Finally managed to get this one (not cheap)! I love these type of quasi-shooters. Another one tough as nails and killer music! -
Looking to complete my Action Max collection. This is the only item making it incomplete!

Another boxed Hangman did make an appearance on Ebay recently w/ some other carts.... Funware: Gah, I *think* I've seen most of those on Ebay within the past year!
-
I've given up on Yahtzee - finding it for cheap that is! I would really like to acquire Hangman and Zero Zap form the Gamevision lot. of the two,is one rarer than the other or equal? I began to concentrate on the Funware boxed titles. I really shouldn't have passed some of these up on Ebay when they showed up!:/

schuwalker replied to jaybird3rd's topic in Intellivision / Aquarius
Cmart, where did you get some of those heavy hitters for the Aquarius? I had know you won the Melody Chase on Ebay - you outbid me! I 'thought' Topdog won the other one (Space Speller) though??? -

The ABSOLUTE worst games of all time.

I'm kinda surprised that were up to post #109 and not one mention of Super Pitfall for the NES. I had real high hopes for this title! I mean, a 8-bit sequel for Pitfall - how could it go wrong? What a broken mess! -

I'm still trying to decide after all these years if I like this game or not. This was one of the games I got when Camelot Music Stores started to liquidate their gaming inventory. I recall a hefty price of $9.99. It was probably for me the most played using the steering wheel expansion accessory (not really saying much). After seeing some recent Youtube vids of the gameplay, I'm trying to decide is it more of a action game or a quasi-driving sim? I'm leaning more to the latter. Seeing these vids, the gameplay seems kinda 'blah'. Maybe I was jaded by nostalgia, just thought there was more to catching the criminal than what's shown. What's everybody else's thoughts on this game? Here is the vid I was going off on... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P0V4Ii6Exk0

You know the deciding factor for me for wanting a Colecovision? It was not Donkey Kong..... it was the Smurfs! I'll never forget seeing a screenshot of Smurfs in a issue of Electronic Fun; my jaw had dropped! I was floored by the graphics! My dream came true one day when the family, and I did the shopping excursion at the local Montgomery Ward. They were one of the few stores I've seen to have a Colecovision kiosk. Of course, they had Smurf running - instant love! Say what you will about the gameplay of Smurf but this game still holds a special place for me....
