  1. Did you have trouble w/ Demons to Diamonds at all?
  2. Did anybody else here have/had trouble finding Demons to Diamonds besides myself? Also wondering on some of the rarer Sears' titles on when you obtained them in your collection? For example, when did you get your Superman or Chess... did you get lucky and find it early or one of the last ones in your collection? Math Gran Prix is another great example.
  3. It's definitely nice to see the light at the end of the tunnel! One of titles I need (Submarine Commander), I see occasionally on Ebay - not too worried about that one. On the other hand, Math Gran Prix, I think I saw only twice on Ebay since the late '90s. Now, thats scary for my wallet!
  4. That was me that won that auction... to this day I'm still shocked what I got it for! If I still remember, I 'think' there were only four bids. Two of those were mine since I got a little scared when the auction drew closer to ending. You know whats really shcoking to me was I never knew Sears' Cannon Man even existed till the mid '80s! It's surprising because my parents' were avid and loyal shoppers to Sears... Hell, I even remember seeing a Math Gran Prix at our local Sears..... so begs the question how rare it was bitd? It seems to me I don't have to worry about some people on here since they already own a Math Gran Prix, but at the same token, if a CIB Cannon Man shows up - there's going to be a bidding frenzy!
  5. It had sort of a box controller w/ a button. These games are all a matter of timing, so it you timed it right it would take the correct path. The bad thing about these, if you're good you can hear the relay click for the correct time to hit the button. I really don't remember these, the wall games were a staple of many bars in the mid '70s.
  6. Sorry about that bidding war Bill. I was also looking for a Demons to Diamonds for a *very* long time! I regretted passing up that one that was in a lot sometime back - I told myslef that won't happen again... Did you partake in the Math Gran Prix when it was on Ebay? I *thought* my bid was a sure-fire win.... nope!!!! I'm almost done w/ Sears, so I'll be out of your hair on anymore Ebay items.....
  7. Down to two more CIB Sears' games left. It would've been only one, but somebody else won the boxed Submarine Commander - curse you! I finally manged to knock Demons to Diamonds off the list (damn, that was a hard find!) So now need Submarinne Commander and Sears Math Gran Prix - have a feeling this is not going to be easy feat! I should preface that I'm not really into variations so take that for what it's worth....
  8. Has anybody played this version before - any good? It looks like it was only available on the Amiga and only marketed across the pond - wonder why since the 'graphic' version was a big hit here in the states?
  9. Jhd, type 'wall games' as a search on Google. I believe it's wallgames.com that has a plethora of wall games out there....and loads of information.
  10. ??????????????????????????? How can it be possible? I'm waiting for the boxes... Shipping will start in about 2 weeks ??????????????????????????? [
  11. After seeing this thread... I got a inkling to play this game again. I'll perface this by saying I did have this title bitd. I have to dig out the box, and I do believe it still has the Zayres sticker still on it. To the game play, I have to agree w/ the consensus - this game is way to hard! Things I don't like: the 'pin precise' controls that are needed to manuever throughout the mountain. ( I have to admit, it was very hard to do w/ the CV stock controller.) And #2, when you encounter Grog - game over immediately? Didn't like that all! Does anybody know how many mountains there were? I'm pretty sure back then, I made it to mountain 3 but had died immediately. How about the ability to read Grog's movement - it seems random? I actually do enjoy this game (it was my first introduction the the BC series) but you definitely find yourself getting frustrated quite a bit!
  12. Thought I would give a little update on my quest to get this title. So, one recently popped up on Ebay (friendly email reminder). Of course, I'm thinking "yes, here is my chance to obtain a copy!" Anywho, I put a bid on that I 'thought' was more than adequate.. apparently not! I know you're not suppose to post Ebay auctions, but I'm doing as a referral to the topic at hand. http://www.ebay.com/itm/350559838233?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649 Is this ordinary for this title... price-wise?
  13. My gawd! What in the hell happened here? Does anybody have any insight or background info on this horrible product? Guys, I'm not kidding when I say... I have never seen a franchise pissed upon the most by a followup! Was this (game?) farmed out to another company? When I found out that there was going to be a followup to Pitfall II and it's coming to the NES - I'm in heaven. Well, then came the day I rented it. Sigh! It's like all my memories of Pitfall 1 and 2 came crashing and burning! It's kinda like the Star Wars' equivalent of Phantom Menace.... Seriously, who won this bitd? Prior to the internet.... More importantly, who payed full retail price for it!
  14. Wow.... didn't realize that this game was that bad (judging by the lack of responses)....
  15. I should mention this is the 'graphic' version of the game. One other thing, has anybody won this on skill level 4?
  16. I remember getting this and a couple others (can't recall) at a discount sale at good 'ole Camelot Music store when they starting to liquidate their gaming stock. I never really hear to much talk about this title. Was it a lame title to C.V .fans? I remember when I get home form school and running to the Colecovision to pop this title in - good times! Would like to get a boxed copy again. Checking Ebay, seems like an obscure title according to their listlings. What would I expect to pay if I see one... boxed copy that is... < $50.00 > ?
  17. Thanks for the clarification Atariman! I really can't complain too much since I got it for free... I own the model 1 Genesis system so I have to get that cable. I just got the expansion piece that annexes to the left side of the base unit - never knew that existed till recently! I always that kinda looked weird having the Genesis 1 hanging over the side of the cd system.
  18. I picked up a Sega CD from my buddy recently whom was getting rid of some gaming items. Unfortunately, he didn't have any documentation or any of the plugs or cables. Hence my questions... Mine is missing that metal shield on the base unit. What is this for? Does it tie the Genesis to the cd unit? The wall plug? What kind does it use - voltage? I see it piggybacks to the side of the Genesis... besides this, is there any other cables I'm missing?
  19. Honestly, I have it saved on my Ebay search and it's been over a year since I had a hit. I take that back I get hits, but it's not the Lucasfilm version.... Wondering if this was a limited release???
  20. I'm looking for the following items.... 1) Wall plug for Sega CD unit (version 2 model) 2) 'Boxed' Ti99 Atarisoft tiles: Shamus, Moon Patrol, Mrs. Pacman 3) 'Boxed SEARS' 2600 games: Demons to Diamonds, Submarine Comander 4) 'Boxed' C64 Lucasarts' Labyrinth Please help!
  21. Exactly how rare is this game? I'm having a hell of time finding a boxed copy! Anybody else a fan of this game? I have to admit, I did use a local neighborhood kid's C64 for this title and Forbidden Forest.....
