  1. I think we need a JagWar forum to vent this kind of thing(?)

    WTB Jaguar CD!

I am looking for a jaguar cd. It doesnt have to be boxed or come with anything but the system and the AC adapter. hell, it doesnt even have to come with the ac. i just want one in good condition that works good. thanks!
  3. grr...let me know if he doesnt pay lol
  4. Well, *today* you can pirate Jag CD games the same way you pirated your Dreamcast games. Historically, it wad even easier than the DC. Quite right, hence why the concern over potential piracy. im just glad that they mentioned the jagcf will have some form of protection, possibly deterring hopes from small-time leechers/hackers.
  5. speaking of: i just received a pro controller but my jag is at my dorm(in other words, cant try it yet). what buttons on the pro does it utilize?
  6. get em in here! lets get the truth out
  7. that is just a sign of a deep project in the making
  8. right you are! i paid $35 even great game might i add. it can become very hectic and fun in the later levels until it crashes

    Jag price?

well my 360 and DS take up most of my gametime. But if I can get ahold of that guy and he still has it and he's willing to let it go with a good handfull of games for under $100 it's all mine!!! -rick any idea what the games might be? note: get composite or s-video cables IMMEDIATELY upon getting it!
  11. How did you find this guy? Do you know if he's legit? i contacted him about a catbox for sale and eventually i even talked to him on the phone,he sounded like he new his shit,he was the one who did the games engine. He enjoyed working on the Jaguar too. Did he have his own plans for the source code? Did he just want to sit on it? Did he have any idea before you got ahold of him that the community may be interested in the source? he said the source was probably on a disk and if he found it he would send it to me. he originally was selling the catbox. He said he had a jaguar dev system and i asked if he was a developer, the source was of no concern to him. infact the reason i didnt buy his alpine was because it wasmissing a resistor. When i talked to him on the phone he talked forever about the jaguar. if memory serves they were hired to "port" the game to the jaguar, was Phase Zero on another system??? "probably" on a disk? maybe there are other source codes on there too a floppy disk and he didnt work on any other Jaguar stuff. grr.. oh well, cant really blame anyone. we should be glad that the code even exist for PZ.

So if this guy did tell Buddies he was porting it he was most likely bullshitting him. what else could it be ported to? DC? PC? what gets me: why aren't more unreleased games released on cd (ex.battlesphere)? Does it require entirely recoding? Are the ones publishing it worried that not everybody has cd units?
  13. Yeah, a vaporware nearly 150 or 200 people have seen in real at the Retro gaming Connexion and AC Connexion events. Litlle troll over 10,000 people saw the BoXeR prototype at various Amiga conventions. Hundreds of thousands have seen the Amiga Walker prototype at conventions. both still vaporware, and always will be so. Until the day it ships, it is vaporware. Same goes for any product. Yep, and some Amiga prototypes were commercialy released. Do I need to name them ? So wait and see Yes indeed, and when they shipped, they stopped being vaporware. When the jagCF is also shipped commercially, it too will stop being vaporware, and I look forward to this day. Proclaiming it is not when it exists only in private hands, or under development, is a quixotic quest and a very undefendable position. A better arguement would be "It's coming, no promises when, but when it's ready, you'll be the first to know" or some such. If they manage what is promised, with the DSP, ROM copy protection, and storage capacity, then I will be impressed and quite likely will buy one. And I look forward to that day. Incidentally, prototypes which were released include: Commodore Amiga 1000, 500, 2000, 1500, CD-TV 600, 1200, 3000, 3000T, 3200(retitled 4000), 4000T, CD-32, AmigaONE, Pegasos, Pegasos II, Ekifa Prototypes which were not: Amiga 300, 1400, PowerAmiga, Walker, AmigaONE (original), ATX4000, BoXeR, Pegasos III, CD1200, 2400, PowerTower, Nyx, Lorraine, Barbi off the top of my head, of course. I see your point. You know, I answered that because the same people who claim it's vaporware today, claimed on JSII the JagCF doesn't exist and that no one had seen it running. It was a pure lie, of course. Now, I hope to see some good things at the next Atari Connexion 08 Alright, now that we've gotten past that roadblock, am hoping for more info on the JagCF to come out sometime soon. Seems a curious idea and while I cannot directly see the benefit, I'd be curious as to what it is when it does ship. I'm even more curious how you mated up a 96Mhz DSP to the system without delay loops. erm...i just hope the copy protection on it is pretty hearty. because i know from first hand how easy it is to pirate. i used to have a library of DC games, most of which were cd-r. i account this to the reason the DC didnt make it(among other reasons ofcourse). i dont want this to happen to the jag and kill what life is left in it.

    Jag price?

if it was from ebay, id say $100 or less (depending on the condition/completeness of the console and games) i don't know what to guess when it comes to a local seller. maybe more(?)
  17. i think i was watching this. I was going to ask what this was on here but it was almost obvious to me it was a dev. console of some sort. i just have no use for one.
  18. I don't know if they're the cheapest. I made my cables myself, by buying connectors and a few wires. then i guess i will never know how much better s-video looks college... no $
  19. Strange. S-video can do better than composite, and on the Jaguar at least, you can tell the difference. Although it's not as crisp as RGB, the picture is noticeably sharper than with composite, and there's no dot-crawl. is the cheapest ones the homemade ones posted?
  20. now thats an idea! i did'nt expect this thread to be the war room when i made it. good vote too.
  21. I've been wanting an S-Video cable for a while now but it's very hard to find the official one. However, if this homebrew one does indeed work as well as the official one, then I'll go ahead and get it. The link above doesn't work anymore; it took me a little exploring to find the current working one: http://morethangames.a8maestro.com/prodgame/advert-g4.htm Also, there's someone from Poland on eBay right now selling some homebrew ones: http://cgi.ebay.com/Atari-Jaguar-S-VIDEO-A...1QQcmdZViewItem Anyone know anything about these? Any more comments about Rick's? One way or another, I'll end up getting one of them. you know what? i have never seen a significant difference between composite and s-vid. maybe because ive never owned a tv over 20'' but idk. i have heard the same thing that was posted on this thread earlier: the bigger the tv, the better s-vid is. i have official composite cables and i think they look great! but im always wondering if it can look better.
  22. i went to the danger zone

    Katrina Jag

That's one of the saddest stories I've ever heard. Sorry about your brother. its alright. i was raised to realize that he would die someday. he was a drug addict that just didnt quit no matter what we did.
  24. ehh...i may just give it to you lol
  25. what was the situation with native? they just gave up upon finding a publisher?
