well its good to hear somebody say something posetive about towers II. i am fairly fond of RPG's. Now all we need is Robinsons Requiem right songbird? Ive definatly heard of Battlesphere and no, i dont get paid enough.

Doom has both advantages and disadvantages from the PC version; it's missing some enemies and in-game music, and due to cart size, less texture variety. It's got MUCH better lighting and shading effects, some new levels (24 instead of just 17) and it's on the Jaguar. The Jaguar version of Wolfenstein is higher-res and faster than the PC version. Pinball fantasies is a pinball simulation with multiple tables. Ruiner is VIDEO pinball which has everything real pinball has and many things real pinball doesn't have both are great games! get them both! ahh, i seee. simulation > video.

whew, well Gunstar, alot of those actually do sound like must haves no matter what the genre. i am not necessarily into the sports genre but that doesnt mean NBA jam isnt fun. i am trying to hold myself back from buying about every game you listed. i have bad urges, that of which cause me to make purchases on a whim. I guess i should just wait for SW2K to come in. Ill soak in that for a while. Towers II sounds interesting, but i have only heard bad talk about it.

i kind of hesitate about doom and wolfenstein, as i have then both for pc already.. but hey, this is a jag any good differences between pinball fantasies and ruiner ?

I own Cybermorph, Bubsy, Flashback, Pitfall 3d, Iron Soldier, Tempest 2k, Supercross 3d, and Ultra Vortek. i am waiting for Spacewar 2k(hope its good(?)) to come in as well as a set of AV cables. what is a splendiferous next game to get? (maybe something as addictive and fun as Tempest2k?)

I was looking there, and wasn't sure, were the CD-DRIVE JAGUAR (8800J) just for JagCD, or for the Jag w/ a CD-unit? with the price listed for the two (new - $199, used - $125), i am lead to assume it is only the JagCD unit. Not saying this price is bad at all. That is about common market price, maybe a bit better even(especially if you cant find it elsewhere). I am glad that some people feel the same way i do about their possessions. I have bought many game systems in the past few months, attempting to revive my earlier years of fun, only to find that the good ol' Virtual boy and NES i used to play are not the same to me anymore. The Jag is slowly but surely chuggin on unlike the others(well, VB is kind of...flash cart came out. Now if only the jag ).

ah but i am already a step ahead ive been trolling around, reading your post and others for about 2 weeks now. I've become knowledgeable of what has come of jaguar and what is still to come. Thanks for the help anyhow! Games: Cybermorph, Bubsy, Flashback, Pitfall 3d, Iron Soldier, Tempest 2k, Supercross 3d, and Ultra Vortek. i recently won a composite cable off ebay to fill in for the terrible RFU adapter. alongside it, i won a copy of Spacewar2k. i do have some questions though: 1. Is there a multi cart available commercially? will there be? 2. What is the best place to get a jag cd (b&c atari?)? 3. Is there a list of upcoming games/already released homebrew? thanks!

Back in 95-96, my brother ended up buying a Jag for 49$ at KB toys. I am assuming this was when he bought it, as i dont remember much other than having played it ALOT (especially Supercross 3d...dead serious). He ended up ditching it after about 8 games and giving it to me. I ended up playing it for a while, only to store it in my attic. Time passed, hurricane Katrina hit and destroyed my neighborhood, my brother passed away, and i forgot all about the Jag. I went back to my house in St.Bernard recently to simply look around when i stumbled upon a storage container in my attic(that of which was not touched by Katrina) with, what else, my Jag! I snooped around and found my controllers and the games my brother had bought and a few i had bought after. Now 19 years old, i feel a strong connection with this system, as it brings back awesome memories with friends i dont see anymore, including my brother. I think it will be awfully fun to pursue as a hobby again! the roar of jaglife
