After a few weeks of no 2600, I finally got a chance to hook it up again and have a go at this. I still like the game, but it makes me wish I was playing the INTV version. I thought I was doing really well at first, until I realised I was on the B setting. My HS (on A) = 2,640

When: Saturday, August 28th, 2004 from 5:00pm until the wee hours of the night Where: 71 Union Street, Bridgewater, MA What: non-stop video games Why: just for fun Can't wait until October for the next trademeet? Maybe this will hold you over until then. What should you expect? For certain, there will be a DDR tournament so bring clean socks! I will have many systems set up for simultaneous multi-player action. A few ideas I have include Party Mix (Atari 2600) and Twinkle Star Sprites (Saturn). Of course, I’m always open to suggestions. A few guidelines: 1. Feel free to bring your trade stuff, but the focus here is on playing games and having fun. 2. Bring your non-gaming spouses/friends for conversion. Heh heh. 3. BYOB. I’ll be providing pizza, soda and snacks but you will have to bring your own alcohol. 4. We have a dog and 3 cats, so please consider that if you are allergic. 5. Smoking is allowed outside only. 6. We have plenty of room if you need to spend the night. Directions: I suggest MapQuest. Send me an email or PM if you need more info. See you there! Uh... I mean here!

I personally think it's the music that makes it the better game. I don't remember what the other games' music is like, but the Sorcerer tune is one of my favorites on the system. Only Pitfall II and a few homebrews surpass it.

I still like Sorcerer. You are not alone!

Would anyone be interested in free stuff - just pay postage
Keir replied to Atari-dj's topic in Buy, Sell, and Trade
I think a lot of sellers might refuse to send 2 separate packages even if everything is paid for. -
That's the error I get, and I'm using IE. I'm at "work" now so I'll have to see if I can get in when I get home.
-
Thanks for sharing that little bit of history. You should send him a picture of the Mythiconsole.

If you're direct linking to the forum, the URL is different. It's not http://www.digitpress.com/forum/

Damn. Way to go, Mindfield! Personally, I subscribe to Marco's Theory on Rarity .

Are you a snob, when it comes to Sears TeleGames Carts?
Keir replied to Kenwood's topic in Atari 2600
I'm with you, Kenwood. Other than the 3 Sears exclusives I have just one Sears cart, Slots, which I would gladly trade for Atari's Slot Machine! -
And it's down again.
-
I'd trade it to CPUWIZ without a second thought.

[Atari 2600] Need these 3's, 4's and 5's (Updated 3-25-05)
Keir replied to Keir's topic in Buy, Sell, and Trade
Removed some games I've received recently, and added some more that I would like to get. For example, I just got the box for Task Force and realised I don't have the cart yet. Doh! -
Absolutely. They're just like regular cassettes.
-
Sorry, not my cart! I saw it in this thread: http://www.atariage.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=39202

Cool. I never knew. This also helps me since I prefer to have just the original version of each game I own.
-
I would think that the singles came first, then they decided to make doubles as a gimmick because the singles weren't selling. Just wondering if anyone knows for sure.
-
I agree with NE146. I've always preferred the PB version to the original arcade game, and all the attempts at making a more arcade-perfect home version.
