Excalibur = Dragonstomper Labyrinth = Escape from the Mindmaster Those were simply the names they had before they were released. Some other pre-release titles were Galactic Egg (Communist Mutants from Space) and Hopalong Catastrophe (Rabbit Transit). From the descriptions in the catalog, the others don't appear to be games that were ever released. I would love to know more about them too. Edit: Apparantly Frantic is not Fireball (which I should have known given that it's in the same catalog with Fireball!)

What was your first complete game company collection?
Keir replied to AtariDude's topic in Atari 2600
Just completed my second company collection: Mythicon! Also pictured is my first: Epyx! -
Do you think the fact that it's the Chinese version makes it worth more or less?
-
I knew I should have gone to Savers this weekend! Not sure which one you went to, but the one in Fall River has been selling them at $2.49 each for a while now. I can't complain because there aren't any I don't already have that I wouldn't pay that much for.

WTB: Colecovision carts (trade list updated)
Keir replied to Atarius Maximus's topic in Buy, Sell, and Trade
I'm afraid I just mailed away all my really common games to a homebrewer, but I still have the following games. All are loose cartridges except where noted. Beamrider $7.50 Defender (end label has become unglued) $3 Omega Race -SOLD- Pitfall! -SOLD- River Raid -SOLD- Subroc $4 Time Pilot (white label, sealed in blister pack with manual) $10 War Games $5 I will sell for the prices listed or make me an offer. -
Of your 407 "other" games, I count 323 unique titles. Add 27 homebrews, 4 double enders (I did not count Spike's Peak in the 323), and the 2 unique Sears titles and you get 356 total unique games. Nice!

You're kidding right? Of course I'm not unhappy! I was just curious. Thanks again. -
FOR SALE : 20 boxed Revenge of the Beef Steak Tomatoes
Keir replied to godsey1's topic in Buy, Sell, and Trade
I got mine yesterday as well. Super speedy and extra minty! Thanks Tony! This is my first boxed 20th Century Fox game. Are all their boxes like this? I thought it was an unusual design. -
I assume you mean in cartridge format? Digital Press rates a loose C64 Beamrider at $4 (rarity 2). A sealed game would obviously be much rarer, though Activision cartridges for the C64 seem to be easier to get sealed than other companies. It's possible Beamrider is an exception, but I doubt it. Hope that helps.

Heh heh. No, that's a completely different game. What I was saying was that when I looked at the screenshots on AA, I recognized the graphics from playing it a long time ago. Since I never had a 2600 as a kid I assumed it was another system, but I must have played it on a friend's Atari. Well, I was already on the lookout for this game, now even moreso.
-
I never actually owned a 2600 as a kid. However, the one that I use all the time now is my wife's from when she was a kid.
-
Was this game released on any other system? I was looking at the screenshots and I can remember playing this long ago, but I don't think it was on a 2600.

I use an Access database that I made.

What was your first complete game company collection?
Keir replied to AtariDude's topic in Atari 2600
My first and only complete company collection is Epyx. Soon I will be completing Mythicon, which will be my first complete boxed company collection, since 2 of my Epyx carts are loose. -
*looks at Paul's avatar* *gasps* They aren't Homestarrunner characters are they?!?!? That would be awesome!
-
These are characters in addition to the "enemies from other Atari 2600 games"?
-
I have a dog who's part pitbull. My cats still rule the house.
-
"Creepy Puppet" That's a good name for a band.
-
Not I.

Great deal on a great game! My high score is only 27,822. I need to get off my butt and complete my Imagic collection. I just love them! Quick Step, Cosmic Ark, Laser Gates, ahhhh sweet Imagic!

Why is there an Atari version label on this INTV game?
Keir replied to holygrailvideogames.com's topic in Auction Central
That's kind of weird, but I think Parker Brothers did stuff like that a lot. I once had a 5200 Q*Bert cartridge with the gold Intellivision label on it. -
Regarding the gold letters: I mentioned before that I thought I had found an anagram for them, and Ben's latest clue makes me think my conclusions were correct. The gold letters anagram to "There is more than one way to". Combine that with the knee anagram and I think you'll understand Ben's last clue.
-
I'm guessing you're missing either Ghostbusters II (which was released by Salu, not Activision) or Fighter Pilot (which is the only one not released in North America). I was able to anagram the yellow letters, but it only made half a sentence. It seems to fit with the knee anagram but I don't know if that's right. It helped though. Man, I'm totally into this puzzle again, but now I have to go away for the weekend! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAUGH! I might get a chance to work on it tonight (if I don't sleep) but I have a feeling when I get back it will all be over. Good luck people!
-
OH MY GOD!!!!!! You would laugh if you some of the crazy "knee" anagrams I came up with but I finally got it! Ha! I've never been so happy to see a balloon!
