HERO is one of those games, like Pitfall II, that is harder to get than it should be based on rarity alone, for the simple reason that it's a great game.
-
Wait, that would make 5 OINKs! (though 2 of them share 3 of the same letters). I, unfortunately, am not getting any closer.
-
Nice. I started to write a little program too, but I was too lazy to have it include diagonals or "bent" words.
-
Wow. I didn't see the straight HERO either. What else have I missed?!?!
-
I interepreted his message as follows: To use your examples, OINK and HERO belong to category 4 and are definitely important. FROSTBITE belongs to category 2 and may or may not be important. You should look at both possibilities separately. Of course, I didn't even realise there was a category 2 until today, so I could be wrong!

Who's this tapper 962 fellow who keeps outbidding both of you (Buyatari and CPUWIZ)? He's the high bidder on the Condor Attack box auction too.

On Paul's website he says it will use a code for saves, so no battery. And I was thinking the same thing as Mayhem when I first read about this. But then I'm sure Paul's intent is not to copy Ultima exactly....
-
How come the other one only went for $15? Is it just because the box is crushed? You'd think people would pay that much just to have the controller.
-
Really? I only found that to be true with one of the duplicate words. Of course, none of the words are really duplicates.
-
Looks like you and I are pretty much in the same place. I did figure out what one of the "clues" says, but it must be the one that's not really a clue because it sure doesn't help me any!
-
No sign of him here. He must be wreaking havoc in a post office somewhere.
-
Yup. I have a Car Wars cart with the rivet and triangle in the corner. I was told that it came from a store where it was used for display purposes. A wire or chain would have been attached to the triangle to keep it from being stolen.

Got them in the mail today and they both work great. Thanks! I noticed something odd though. It looks like the little person inside the Bustout cartridge escaped!

I just read in a letter in the second issue of Atari Age that the 13th wave "RF" easter egg was removed from later releases of Missile Command. Has anyone ever found one of these?

Here it is: http://www.atariage.com/software_page.html...wareLabelID=907 Don't know why it doesn't show up on a search for Bowling.

Not sure what auction you two are talking about, but that's definitely the Colecovision Quest in that picture.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAUGH! I was so close, I just couldn't figure out the anagram. It probably didn't help that I had these extra letters: T C E O L and was missing U and S. Congrats Thomas. That's quite a prize!

Yes I am! I haven't had much time to play the newest Beta but I love what I've seen so far.

Matty just emailed me. Apparantly he's been away on business. Oh, and congratulations Manuel!

Couldn't you just salvage the pcb from an Atari Haunted House?
