Atari 2600 Spy Hunter cartridge for trade - GONE
Keir replied to Keir's topic in Buy, Sell, and Trade
BUMP -
If you suck at this game like I do, try avoiding the large rocks alltogether. I found that I would often shoot a large rock and then miss both the small ones it turned into, for a net loss of 50 points (50 - 2 x 50). If I had just let the big one go I only would have lost 25 points. My high score: 5,255
-
Died on the sixth stage with a final score of 2,060. I will beat this game eventually, but not this week!
-
TIP: Nothing can hurt you when you're on a ladder (even if you haven't started climbing yet).
-
Wow, first a Xonox game that's actually good, now a Data Age game that's actually good! The thing I find really frustrating about it is that I'll often get scores over 2,000, but then lose half my points. I still love the game though. My highest score so far is 1,660.

For sale--nice 2600 rarities! pic added!
Keir replied to RickHarrisMaine's topic in Buy, Sell, and Trade
That's a good deal! I forget what I traded for my Montezuma's Revenge cart, but it was more than $15 worth and mine is FFS (Far From Spiffy). -
Who knew that Xonox could actually make a good game?! Unfortunately, I don't have a lot of time to play this one right now. My best score so far is only 95,280. I think she kind of looks like Marzipan.
-
EDIT: I just looked at that auction again, and I misread the shipping cost. It's only $4, not $12, so the total is $24. So I bought it. Anyone want an empty box? LOL
-
Here's a game that hasn't been used in a sentence yet: Due to the limited vertical SPACE, JOCKEYs were the only people in the room who didn't need to crouch.
-
Exactly what I was thinking! I guess that one would also apply if there was an Atari computer game compilation (I haven't played that version but I would guess it's the same).
-
For quite some time now, I've had an empty box for the Famicom version of The Bard's Tale, just begging to be filled. There's a sealed one on eBay right now, but with shipping from Japan it would cost me $32 and I really don't want to spend that much, especially since I already have the box. So if anyone has the cart and/or manual and would like to sell or trade it, let me know! Here is my trade list: http://www.geocities.com/metalkeir/trade.html If you have a complete or sealed one and don't want to break it up, I'd still be interested (just as long as you aren't asking $32).
-
Well, it's better than Shark Attack, I guess. I really don't feel like playing this one any more though, so here's my final score: 28,824
-
I have some newish games that I never play and would like to trade for some oldish games that I will never play. Gamecube: Tales of Symphonia (sealed) Viewtiful Joe (sealed) PS2: Mobile Light Force 2 Star Ocean: Till the End of Time Mostly interested in Atari 2600 and VIC-20 games, especially boxed. My want list: http://www.geocities.com/metalkeir/wantlist.html

I'm using Z26. It appears that when emulating, it resets to the easy difficulty every game. My new score at the correct difficulty (please ignore my last score): 12,360
-
I don't really get how this game works. My first game, the difficulty ramped up very quickly. I made it to level 7 by 9,000 pts and died shortly thereafter (I'm assuming the number at the bottom to the left of your lives is some sort of level indicator). Second game I got nearly 25,000 pts before passing level 1! My final score for that game was 36,810.

FS/FT: Vic-20 Games (Only 4 Left) Prices Added
Keir replied to elliott's topic in Buy, Sell, and Trade
elliott: I replied to your PM a couple times, but they didn't show up in my sent box so I don't know if there's a problem with the PM system or what. Anyway, if you didn't get them, please send me an email ([email protected]) or something. Thanks, Keir -

1,430 Cleared one wave, and only had one invader left to clear the second. Also tagged one command ship. Originally I wasn't even trying for the command ships because I didn't think it was worth the effort, but they really help your score in this variation.

I just acquired another Spy Hunter that is in much better shape than the one I had, so my old one is now available for trade. The label isn't terrible; it is intact but has some edge wear and discoloration as you can see from the picture. I would love to trade this straight up for a Tapper (the last Sega cart I need). I'd even add something to my side of the trade if the Tapper is in better shape than this one. Of course, I will also consider other things from my want list.
-
Shouldn't sku_u be in the current standings? I remember he beat me at Rabbit Transit.
-
Wow. Interestingly enough, 2 of the 3 that have the proper name on the carts he misspelled in the description (Riddle of the Sphimx and Warlocks), but he spelled all the misspellings correctly!
-
Oh man, game 16! I was able to beat one wave, but then they slaughtered me. I've always thought invisible invaders were fun, but with the wavy bullets and moving shields... yikes! 685
