for my collection i have two of each model awith original joysticks and ac-adapter (one of each boxed) 2x junior ver.a 2x junior ver.b 2x vader 2x 4-switch 2x 6-switch 1x light sixer

At the beginning of collecting Atari 2600 gamesi have collected everything, i dont knew much about the difference and the rarity of NTSC and PAL games. It was all the same for me, but when the collection became larger, i did not want to have both types in one collection. So i have started to split them and stored them seperately. I think many of the collectors here dont make any difference. I would like to know how you handle it. (my first poll, hopefully everything is correct)

yes, nice. The boxes are in a good condition. Everyone begins small. That is a good start for a large collection.

does anybody know whether some PAL Spectravideo games were sold with own boxes, or maybe with NTSC boxes. or only with the quelle/Spectravideo combination. http://www.atarimania.com/lst_soft.php?MEN...&VISU=TABLE I only have these PAL games boxed from the Quelle / Spectravideo combination Crossforce(cart) = Kreuzfeuer(box) Gangster Alley(cart) = Gangster Ruine(box) and so on ........

oh yes, you are right. The growing of the collection will be much more slower at one time. But the money will shrink much more.

Very impressive collection and in very good condition as i can see on the photos It is always good to know that there are still a lot of crazy collectors out there. (me too)

hi, i started collecting only loose games years ago. I collected everything what I got for little money at the fleamarket. but the fleamarket-atari-area is over. now i'm hunting for the most games in my collection at ebay. (shame on me). i also have some friends for exchange double games. this is really much more better then selling and buying. It makes a lot more fun. so look around for others in your area with the same hobby. but i think you should start collecting boxed games, because sometime you will be getting bored of loose games and you will like the boxed games more than the loose one. then the collection grows very slowly and only boxed games will be changed against loose ones. this takes a long time you are hunting for the boxed games, you are collected loose years ago. and be sure what sort you will collect. ntsc, pal, repros, homebrews, protos,........... it is too much to collect them all. Good Luck and maybe you show us some pictures sometime. and use a database for your collected games at the beginning

ok thanks, i've looked there. but i thought, maybe there can be some more variations from ITT that are not listet in the database. the cardboard-boxes looked not as good as the plastic-boxes.

hi, i wonder why some games from the publisher ITT were sold with cardboard and othes with plastic-boxes. are all games from ITT sold with both boxes ???

The last few loose carts i have seen on ebay and wrote down in my list in 2005 and 2006 are gone between $28 and $51. a boxed one was sold for 203 Euro.

I must confess that most of the duplicates stacked in my game room, because I am too lazy. Sometimes i sell them on ebay, but i must have a lot of time. and if you sell a lot, you get no good price for it. otherwise change with other collectors is very difficult. who needs the commos. and who has some rares to change at home ??? mostly they're gone at ebay i think.

Here are two cart scans for the database. i think bad condition is better than nothing.

i also have some of these strange looking labels. I have scanned three of them. Maybe they are bleached by the sun ??

I have 3 boxed Connector games and i would like to know if there exist manuals of the games. One game is still sealed, the other 2 are box and cart only. DD-3 GIRUS / MONTEZUMA DD-5 GIRUS / POPEYE DD-6 MONTEZUMA / SUPER COBRA (sealed)

Is there also a difference in the NTSC manual ? The english PAL-Manual shows the bones and talked about the balls. (german and french manual too)
