  1. Disagree Subjective is the point of view of an individual, influenced by his personal preferences. Rarity is not subjective, in marked contrast to value and shape. A rare cart IS a rare cart. or should i say "a Holy Grale" is "a Holy Grale", until proven otherwise.
  2. hmm, where to start with an answer ... i like your enthusiasm and the intent behind your thoughts in the beginning , but there are certainly many more reasons that I have not enumerated that speak against such a project. 1. The Rating would only be an overview of the members on this website. The unreported number of offline collectors is too big. 2. Every collector who joins, would mark for example, a "Combat" and a "Lost Luggage", but where does he list the other ten Combat copies that a big collector still has at home. 3. What about the variations? for Example: Combat 1977, Combat 1978, Combat 1979 4. Not every collector recognizes the difference between PAL and NTSC or SECAM. It does not matter to some collectors. The main thing is, that the title is in the collection. 5. Especially the big collectors have little interest in telling everyone what's in their collection. One could only evaluate the data anonymously. 6. In rare games you could possibly derive a tendency, but not in the common titles. 7. For tactical reasons, it is not always advisable to mark a rare game, because that reduces the rarity level. (Sales intentions) 8. and 9. so 10. on ... 11. That would be a lot of work (and requires a complete Database) The only option you have, if you know several long-term collectors who can call their own a very large collection (maybe range far beyond 1000+), or collectors with special collection areas (maybe v-carts section), then you have a chance to do something. A collection and experience make this possible. Trust me, I know what I'm talking about I'm curious about the point ov view of others here in the forum.
  3. Nice to know. Thanks for sharing the information with us.
  4. Hi, have you tried the forumsearch? maybe the search results help to find what you are looking for. 5. Has anybody ever seen a label on a Scala cart? i can hardly imagine, that a company has sold boxed games with no cartlabel. ... or can someone show me one?
  6. i never thought you like watermarks at some point.
  7. have looked to my cabinet and found only Football and Final Legacy Titels as far as I can see this thread: Donkey Kong Junior Final Legacy Football Joust Millipede Moon Patrol Ms. Pac Man Pac Man Pole Position Tennis additional ? weird. i have (all, nearly all?) these titles in silver boxes with the old style carts
  8. i agree with you that the demo cartridge label looks really cool for protos, i like it. But for the database i prefer the real deal, a pic from the prototype (cart or pcb) or nothing.
  9. Thanks for The Best Electronics Info. I think i should put it on the list.
  10. Thanks for all your replies so far. I still have some more boxed XE style carts in these silver boxes at home. If I have idle times, then I may add them too. just for fun. From about how many silver boxes are we talking in total? My accessibility in this collection area is very limited as i am more at home in the Atari 2600 section. Also thanks for the scan offers. I scanned and uploaded today my last available boxes and carts from the xegs series. There are only a few gaps left. Please take a look at the link below. I would be glad if someone can send me some scans to close them. http://www.atariboxed.com/index.php?go=output&dir=DESC&rows_per_page=50&select_system=4 btw: Do all xegs protos just have a weird label in different colors on the cart? (see Tower Toppler in the List)
  11. i also prefer the "Full Version" view. Maybe the button can be positioned at the top of the page, someday.
  12. hmm, good question. I have not thought about it yet. But if i would, how would it fit into the "XEGS" Series. Sure, that would be the smallest problem to add the titles. How many titles are we talking about here? ...but is there a need in the community for such a List? I think there are other websites with this topic better positioned. What would come after the gray carts? The systems in the database have been added in terms of "Atari Consoles". Feedback welcome.
  13. Does a official GameBox for Bug Hunt and Flight Simulator II exist, or were both games only loose available as a add-on? How about a Box for the Demo Cartridge?
  14. Thank you for your explanation. That brings some light into the darkness. Was Eastern Front in the blue xegs box only released with in the old stock black cartshells and a new blue label on it? Or was there another run with newer cartshells too? btw: today i have uploaded some more cart and boxscans.
  15. Is there a reason why same Titles were produced in Hong Kong and in Taiwan? for example both pics are from different Fight Night boxes
  16. Thanks for the info. It is now added to the database. http://www.atariboxed.com/index.php?go=output&dir=DESC&rows_per_page=50&select_system=4 The first bunch of Box and cart Scans are now uploaded. More will follow in the next few days.
  17. here is the corrected link https://www.ebay.com/itm/352323950050
  18. ok, i have now added the XEGS Titles to the database. According to the current state of things, we would have 38 entries. Both official and never released titles. I would be glad if you take the time to look over it, if i have missed something, or can leave it that way. http://www.atariboxed.com/index.php?go=output&dir=DESC&rows_per_page=50&select_system=4 Any help with hints for possible corrections are welcome.
  19. How do you all define a complete set? I think there are different views. Are you talking only from NTSC?
  20. The Taiwan Cooper Series link, i have posted above, includes only PAL Versions, which were sold in europe. There exist nearly 60 NTSC Titles that have not been added to this Database yet.
  21. The Zellers Series and the Taiwan 2600 Compatible Series came certainly from the same source. They were mostly sold in the Netherlands and in much less quantity you can find them in Italy and Spain. Both above Series have nothing to do with the german Quelle Series, but the Quelle Series could certainly be from the same source as the Taiwan Cooper Black Series. It is not just the obvious similar designs of the boxes and carts, but also the cardboard from which the boxes were made, suggesting that it comes from different sources.
  22. Baseball is still missing, as you can see here http://www.atariboxed.com/index.php?go=output&dir=ASC&rows_per_page=50&select_company=37&select_system=3
