  1. 72,650 I forgot how fun this game really is.
  2. I usually post this over on DP, but my computer is being slow & stupid & wont take me there. So: Among the VHS tapes at Goodwill (& other locations around the store) I found PGA Tour Golf II (GEN, $4). Why cant someone organize/sort these? Anyway, the game has 6 courses, including TPC at Sawgrass, where the 17th green is a frickin' ISLAND!!! GameStop: Colony Wars (PS, exc cond $5)
  3. Add Dino Stalker to my list- pretty easy to get through on...um, er- "easy". I had no idea it was a sequel/offshoot of the Dino Crisis storyline.
  4. Hey- I just had a chicken sandwich for lunch yesterday! Mmm- chicken.
  5. IIRC it was "The Video Game", hosted by JD Roth (redhead) & a more laid-back "dude"-type guy like Parker Lewis' cool friend from THAT show. JD went on to (co-)host other shows. I recall them playing "Pogo Joe" & "Flip & Flop" on Commodore 64s!!!
  6. xenomoprher wrote: funny- I was thinking there wasnt enough of them! Guess that makes for easy collecting. Which games can you use dual Guncon2s on? I read a review where the guy used two on Vampire Night. It wouldnt be feasible in Dino Stalker. The Time Crisis 3 manual doesnt mention it; I think it goes into split-screen 2-player mode automatically.
  7. Also be sure to run it ON ITS SIDE as well as horizontal. It works both ways, regardless of what some will say...
  8. Let us know what happens, Wester. The lens cleaning is a part of the DRE fix, while you're inside your PS2. Dab a bit of rubbing alcohol on the lens w/ a Q-Tip (Raijin Z would likely recommend Everclear or Uzo or something stronger, but it works). The fix I mentioned is probably at G4TechTv's site under Xplay, since it was a segment on that show once. Gee, if it doesn't work, why would they put it on the show??? It's also in GamePro #185 (Feb 04) p 18- it's what I used. It metions a link: www.tweak3d.net/articles/ps2repair/2.shtml Good luck- don't listen to the haters...
  9. Raijin Z wrote: There's no potentiometers involved- you adjust a SINGLE small white plastic disc which changes the physical position/tilt of the disc tray- you can see it move as you turn it. There's no current, voltage, or electricity involved in the fix. It's rather simple if you can operate a screwdriver (to open the casing).
  10. Wrong- It happened to me, I fixed it this way & it works fine now. I'm fully aware of your hatred for Sony, too.
  11. I like Time Crisis 3 & Dino Stalker for the GunCon2 (PS2). Got all 3 for $20. Vampire Night is supposed to be good too, w/ Resident Evil: Dead Aim & Ninja Assault somewhat less so. No gun exists(ed) for the Jaguar commercially.
  12. If you're getting Disc Read Errors, theres' an easy fix out there you can do yourself to adjust the drive's "pitch" so it works. 'Course, dumping a PS2 for 5 bucks is a good indication it's busted.
  13. Judgement Day. I'd say it's the "gamer's game review" show. It presents BOTH reviewers' views (on Xplay ONE of them does each review), & much of the time they disagree w/ each other, w/ Vic being the more level-headed of the pair. I also love the "Buried Treasure" segments, & bought games based solely on their appearance there. Tommy's actually in the biz, & Vic produces/directs JD & Electric Playground. Adam & Morgan are just personalities on the channel. X-play used to be good; I liked it when Adam was alone for awhile & more serious, since he had no one to play off of. Skeletorgan looks good, but that doesnt make her a better show host. Plus, they go for the wackiness factor, w/ lame jokes & gags, whereas JD actually gets a chuckle out of me once in awhile. Adam seems like a spaz who'd drop the controller a lot during play.
  14. Robert Preston (played "Centauri") was The Music Man in the movie version. I watched this yesterday morning on HBO Family. I dont recall it being so corny, especially when Preston said "interstellar hit beast." I didnt even make it through the last half-hour.
  15. 42,500- I can barely make it to the first Iron Wall. War is hell.
  16. How many ya want? here's my list ($1 each:) Mace Griffin: Bounty Hunter Sega Sports World Series Baseball 2K3 (shows every teams' jerseys against a black bkgrd) King of Route 66 Gladius (5 p foldout of sword, game info on back) Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance UFC Throwdown Panzer Dragoon Orta Need For Speed Hot Pursuit 2 Game Informer Covers (issues 1-100) Manga: ZOIDS: Chaotic Century Saikano
  17. Good all-around quality printer, capable of graphics & text. Direct-connect. There was another (SMM-804?) for the ST which could be used on XL/XE computers w/ an interface.
  18. Guess I played a bit longer than most people- 381,360
  19. Not many responses this week- anyone playing? 150,260 pts I usually start on Expert 'cuz I like it fast.
  20. xenomorpher wrote: Y'know, I've never seen anything but crap about this game, but I liked it too! It helps I bought a thick Prima paperback guide that had about a dozen pages of strategy plus cheat codes for the game.
  21. The local Toys R Us(s) have DC games & acessories, at discounted prices.
  22. Shannon wrote: They could in the arcade version. So could Mario & Luigi. It was kind of a "safe spot."
  23. 101,150- my 2nd highest all-time top score.
