  1. Cool pics! GrandviewCoin, is that a Crystal Castles in the corner? Had trouble posting pics, but I got an IKEA TV unit from the new store here, just opened last month: http://www.ikea-usa.com/webapp/wcs/stores/...productId=11726 A GXTV (13" stereo) & 20" stereo TV on top, w/ my various sytems below. The unit has a small hidden shelf in the back for a power strip, but my setup uses 2 & they dont fit. Not shown: PS2 & Jaguar on the 25" TV w/ 600-watt surround sound system in the family room.
  2. I scooped up the PS version for $5 some time ago & was quite impressed. I had a hard time starting out in it (didnt know to look up in a certain area & thought I was stuck!) I still have yet to complete it but last time out I made huge progress IIRC.
  3. And..."abraca-eBay!!!" (((*POOF*)))
  4. Due to apparent lack of interest, this will be pulled Friday (7/30)...
  5. I dont have or emulate any of these...
  6. A good spot to position yourself is over the rightmost spawn pad, above the "trick gap" & bonk 'em as they go by. I usually get 2 or 3 at the start of a wave this way.
  7. 229,550 no, all my scores will not end in "550".

    Headset USB adaptor

Are those brand names? I dont know much about it- my wife used it w/ some program to talk to her mom & sister (they had the same program). It now sits in a box; I thought I could put it to use. It's a Labtec C-316. The mic is attached to a yoke on the "earmuff", the other side has a brace to fit over the ear. The yoke flips over the top, enabling the headset for use on either ear. On closer inspection it ends in TWO phono jacks, the red labeled for the mic, the black, for the headset.
  10. I also vote for Sportstalk BBall. Got it w/ a garage sale Genny. Not bad at all. It's funny when you repeatedly move the infield back & forth- no matter how fast you do it, the anncr tries to keep up w/ you- "Infield back, infield in, infield normal" over & over. Also sometimes he'll still be calling the final play after the game ends & the final score is displayed.
  11. I nominate Countdown: Vampires for PS. Bandai's attempt to ride the survival-horror train, right down to the horrible voice-acting. "Your FIRST DAY? Aww, so I GUESS you dont know where the EXITS are, RIGHT?" How could someone not know where the exits are? Wouldnt that be something she WOULD know the first day?
  12. On G4TechTv's "Icons" Doom episode they say they keep some of the original monsters but give them enhanced graphic makeovers... The flaming skull ("Lost Soul") is now, I think, like a mosquito/dragonfly crossbreed w/ a baby's head. The demon (pink shaved gorilla-thing) now runs 4-legged, bulkier & appears more dog-like. The cacodemon remains similar but more like a huge floating brain w/ "gills" on top. There will be new monsters too, that scurry down walls, etc. they said IIRC.

    Headset USB adaptor

I've got a PC headset that ends in a 2.5 mm phono jack. Is there a USB adaptor somewhere (like Radio Shack) that will fit it to the PS2 USB port? I'd like to play Manhunt using the headset. Thanks!

  15. I wont take screenshots but I wont lie about anything I post here either. I'm not like that.
  16. Played a double header Wed night, & just finished one game. Won all. Wed: 15-2 & 18-4. Thurs: 34-9. I scored my last 3 runs on a rocket hit over the left field fence straight down the 3rd base line, never losing altitude. It was beautiful. Good game, but I dont like that the computer isnt "smart" enough to run you back to base, & no "hot box."
  17. HotDead 2 has several different story branches so you could play repeatedly w/out taking the same path twice. It's harder w/out the light gun, but that just means it's more challenging.
  18. Nope, not a HSC member here. looks like I got beat though...
  19. Check Toys R Us if you got them out there. I picked up most of my DC games (several you listed) w/ a 2 for 1 deal, & they had Alone in the Dark for $10. Oh, & way to go on giving D2 a chance!
  20. At last!!! (inserts cartridge, pulls on batting glove)
  21. AFA D2 goes, I loved the PS version although I completed it in a few days. I thought it was a fine example of an ealry PS game, but it's just trial & error until you know what to do. The DC version expands greatly on the first story. D2 spans 4 discs (I got it for $8, that's $2/disc!) so in that respect, it's OK if you like the genre. It's definitely original but not for everyone. I'm still working thru Disc 1. There's some backtracking & I'll probably resort to an online guide to beat it. But usually once I get into a game like that, I play/stay to see the end. The only acknowledgement/review I ever saw was in Oct 2000 Game Informer, IIRC it got 4.5/10 overall.
  22. House of the Dead 2 Sega Marine Fishing (fun even if you HATE fishing, which I do) Jet Grind Radio Toy Commander
