821,800 (w/ light gun) Do you have to beat the game to count? How the hell do you stop that final alien from pooping out pods? I concentrate my firepower on its "egg chute" but I either die or run out of ammo...hate that underwater level too!

They ran this down on G4TechTV "Filter" recently. REZ was #1. I got Q*Bert for Dreamcast last week. Playing through "Adventure" mode w/ its whirling, spinning backgrounds & moody trance music will make you think you're high- if not already...
-
My brother-in-law recently got his Xbox from Florida that way. The auction said: "no games included because I already sold them to [the kid's] friends!"
-
I see a few of my high scores still remain on Vinnie's high-score page. How far behind would I be if I joined in this week? Can I only attempt each game once?

Since this is on its way down again, consider it dead & buried... >YOINK!< Bye-bye!

In the SPACE club it was "(D)isk (o)f the (M)onth".

Now after watching the solution AVI it does just what I describe (except collect the chips)- you die right away? Yes, your cart may be buggy.
-
In the first enclosed area, let the bug past you at some point- spaces not adjacent to a wall block are safe. With 5 chips left, teleport & carefully & patiently get past the tanks to the red key. Retrace your steps & open the red door. Pass the fires & cross the ice for the Fire Shield, then return for the 4 chips. Use the conveyor below the ice to reach a safe area. Haul ass to the left as soon as the blue ball passes TO YOUR RIGHT. Follow the path & use the southbound conveyor to get the last chip. Move down the lefthand wall to sneak past the tanks one space at a time. Get the yellow key, then sneak up the righthand wall. Exit to your right. I honestly never found the level to be difficult. I have around 300 sec. left each time. Then again, I just solved CASTLE MOAT (HMJL) for the first time...

Why Did You Buy A 7800 Instead Of An NES?
RJ replied to Tempest's topic in Classic Console Discussion
1) I hadnt bought a new system for awhile. 2) I was/am a huge ATARI fan & felt it bridged the gap between my VCS & 800XL. 3) Its backwards-compatibility- I could play games in 2 different rooms w/out moving systems around 4) I, uh, mistakenly predicted the NES wouldnt sell well. 5) I wanted decent versions of Mario Bros. & Xevious. -
Is it too late to get in on this? I just discovered this & didnt vote but I have those games & wanna join!
-
You may be able to get an Atari XMM-801 (XL/XE direct compatible) or an SMM-804 (XL/XE compatible w/ printer interface) from Video 61. OK- after checking, the XMM model is under $100 (less shipping)...didn't see the SMM model. www.atarisales.com

Same w/ the movie industry- it's all old TV shows & cartoons, sequels (to old TV shows & cartoons!) & remakes of past movies.
-
Not at Ultimate Electronics- They had a 50%-off PS2 game sale awhile ago & they had the GH Ratchet & Clank marked at $40 (BEFORE the discount!) Shoulda been $20 ($10 w/ the discount). They had WipeOut Fusion for $50!!! I havent gone back to see if they sold it.
-
I haven't/don't play it online but the only "bug" I saw was the playfield takes awhile redrawing itself sometimes (usually after I died repeatedly) Every review I've read gives it at least 8 / 10 & says better than Baldur's Gate II. Pick it up.

Which of these Clearanced games is worth it?
RJ replied to Jasoco's topic in Modern Console Discussion
I'd get BloodRayne & pass on everything else. -
What are you playing? (week of March 21 - March 27)
RJ replied to Adrian M's topic in Modern Console Discussion
I told the wife I would beat 5 of my games before buying more after a recent binge. So far I've beaten (all PS2): Gauntlet: Dark Legacy Clock Tower 3 Rune: Viking Warlord In progress: Simpsons: Road Rage Deus Ex Silent Hill 3 (2nd time) Myst 3: Exile -
After posting I had to play to confirm what I said. I used the option to reconfigure the controls (why didnt I see it before ) so now my custom scheme is: L/R sticks: move L1: special weapon (smart bomb, etc) R1: shoot L2/R2: rotate turret D-pad/buttons: not used/unassigned Now I dont have to stop moving to shoot (w/ 'x' button.) This really helped my game- I got to at least the 5th station on a handful of continues. The 4th station's "shop" had an option to warp to Station 6 but I chose not to. Also, I found those saucers are rather easy to destroy. I came across some sleek silver tanks in a later level. They resemble Darth Maul's spaceship from Episode I, & fire twin shots!
-
Yeah, the control is screwed (thanks, Midway!) You'd think the dual sticks (on a PS2) would lend themselves to control perfection- NOT SO! & one of the options is to use the shoulder buttons to move? No thanks- that's what STICKS are for! They should've made the R1 (trigger finger) to shoot, too. I think the saucers can be taken out by those smart bomb things you can buy.

Is this a sequel to that piece of crap they made for PS1?
-
I framed mine!!!
