PERFECT!!! I KNEW it had to do w/ the moneybags! THANKS!

Those I've played: 2600 Golf- fine for the 2600...remember, you're playing it on a 2600!!! I grew up w/ it, so that's why I HATED... Intellivision Golf- don't know how poorly these games were emulated on Intellivision Classics for PSX, but this is THE WORST golf game I've ever played! Simply awful. Sorry. Fox Sports Golf 99- I heard bad things about it, but I like it! Maybe b/c it was my 1st PSX golf game. Love the multiple camera angles. Very challenging. Hot Shots Golf(PSX)- just 9 holes on a demo disc, but a great demo nonetheless! PGA European Tour(Genny)- also very good, much better than the choppy SNES versions. Hal's Hole-In-One Golf- stomps all over EA's PGA Tour for SNES. Graphics are crisp, clean, & smooth. More music would've been nice. Leader Board Golf (800 XL)- only borrowed for awhile, didnt care for all the water. Ninja Golf (7800)- fun, "non-golf" golf sim. If you cant get Mean 18, get this. Awesome Golf (Lynx)- my eyes nearly popped out of their sockets when I first played this. The graphics, effects, & scaling were- AWESOME!

Just what is going on here? a) trying to fool us b) demonstrating Paintshop prowess c) selling stickers d) all of the above Seems the 2nd pic is real, & the 1st was doctored from it. See how the single sticker seems to float above the background? Your auction says "(1) sticker" AND "no matter how many you buy..." Which is it? I cant believe Im wasting my time on this...

So, pmitch- been awhile...what are YOU doing w/ your Atari? Any suggestions/ideas from above? Let us know! You could also design fonts. I used DaisyDot 3's font editor to create a "ransom" font using characters from each font file on the disk. I used graph paper to map each character, then copied it into the editor. I use the font for CD song lists for their jewel cases. I've also designed: Boxy Gothic Japanese Commando (like the game's text) Survivor/Castaway/Gilligan (tropical island motif) Gameshow Just go thru a magazine & choose interesting fonts, then put them on your Atari!

Reading about Bruce Lee here prompted me to play another good DataSoft platformer, Zorro. I havent touched it in years but I had some fun w/ it yesterday- bits & pieces coming back to me. I was doing OK until the catacombs- the black & blue screens w/ disappearing platforms under the grave. Anyone have a quick screen-by-screen guide to get thru them? I think it has to do w/ getting the moneybags but I took a wrong turn somewhere & got really lost!

I got in a few games yesterday but was only able to get to the 2nd floor. I didnt see anything like you described, although maybe you were in a room w/ an elevator & didnt see its door? But there'd have to be a doorway OUT...& the guards wouldnt be dead... I'd guess there's a problem w/ the version as you said above...it was fun playing it again tho! Waiting around corners to kill unsuspecting guards, moving to influence their paths, silent killing w/ a dagger so others dont hear...

They also went thru 60 songs before deciding on Ray Parker Jr.'s song for the movie. He complained it was hard to find rhymes for "Ghostbusters". Hey, I asked this awhile ago but didn't get much of a response- has anyone got past Sta-Puft & actually made it into Zuul? How close do you have to get to him? Is it like a single-pixel or scan line? It's damn hard!!!

THAT for $5.50???

Blue Max, Blue Max 2001, Panther & Thunderfox are all similar scrolling type games...but not vertically.

Who's interested in a classic gaming event in Minnesota??
RJ replied to 8bit4life's topic in Classic Console Discussion
Sounds like a "dis" to me! Actually, if the Thunderbird still exists, that's near the MegaMall. @Dan Iac...- I'm still a big Atari fan, but as time goes on, I find less & less of it to devote to Atari. I do miss writing reviews for your newsletter! I posted a few in the "Perpetual Lynx Review" thread... -
You could always keep a personal journal/diary on disk & add entries using a word processor (I use SpeedScript 3.0, a PD version). That way no one unfamiliar w/ booting/using an 8 bit can see your stuff. I've probably got about 5 disks full of entries but not much time to write anymore! Also, find ComputerEyes & hook up a VCR/video source & mess around w/ some pictures. You can load em into art programs, color them, print them, etc. if you're at all interested in the artistic capabilities of your 8-bit (or your own!)

"systems"= Lynxes??? This happens w/ maybe 1/3 of my games out of about 15. What works for me is to rub my thumb over the contacts a few times. Maybe the slight friction heat improves the contact, I dunno. People'll probably say the oils from your skin wreck the corrode the metal over time, but as I said, it works for me.

RJ replied to 8bit4life's topic in Classic Console Discussion
@The_Collector: 8bit4life said "near" the Mall of America, most likely not in it! The cost for space in there is probably astronomical for our purposes & wouldn't generate a proportionate turnout (but I'd be glad to be proven wrong!) More along the lines of a hotel/motel event room, hall, school, church, or even someone's house... -

I'd go but I don't own a company or run anything Atari-related- huge fan though. If it ever happens, be sure to notify SPACE. The last "fest" I attended was Jagfest '98(?)- the one in/near Rochester. I met Dan Iacovelli & had a pretty good time. -
What are their favorite colors?

Those are the biggest damn pics I've ever seen on my computer.

Look for the original 1972 Russian version. It's subtitled, so you can watch it on FF in half the time & you wont miss anything!
