Pretty sure it was at a Software Etc in the mall in the next town over. Dont recall what games I got with it. I know I had ElectroCop & Zendocon early on. I had to work that day, & brought it all the way back to the restaurant (Old Country Buffet) & was checking it out for a few minutes before starting my shift, & one of my managers came over & asked "what's that?" & I turned to him, & said very seriously, "Phil, this...is the future...of video games."

Oh ok. Scratch my 5a score then.

Ok, hold on here. So in game 5a we're supposed to time how long it takes to get rid of the whole wall? Or break THROUGH it? (which is what Id consider a "breakout") For a prisoner to break out" of his cell, he wouldnt have to knock down the whole wall, just make a hole in it big enough to get out.

Re: Oink! & Dolphin episode- I jumped over the seahorses, I think you have to by a certain later point in the game. There's just no way to accurately go thru the holes by then.

The even-numbered PS NAMCO Museums ("a" & "c") were always expensive, "c" is now 2x what I got mine for. & now I see "o" is also going for crazy muneez.
-
I've only ever payed it on the Playstation NAMCO Museum (one of the costly ones) using a DualStick, whcih cant be configured to use both sticks (if there is a way, LMK.) There is an ingame option to use a single stick, which makes it playable, but I admit it does lose a little something. You have to hold down a button to do the "rear up/sit up" move. Still a great fun game though. The PS version has "Assault Plus" unlockable, which features easier, & more difficult versions, called "Training for Core" & "Battle for Core" or something like that.
-
Coin Rejects briefly discusses NAMCO's Assault, which we both know is an awesome game. Maybe we could get someone to do an episode on it & discuss it at length.... *coughpiefactorycough* *coughnoquartercough* *coughvicsagediaryofanarcadeemployeepodcastcough*

OK, I'll do it. New episode is out! AtariAge PM incoming re: Dolphin & Oink! Gotta think it out & compose it.

You had a good run, S. Real life sucks sometimes when it gets in the way.

Awww, I was hoping for the Brady Bunch old-timey piefight where, thanks to "unlucky" little cousin Oliver tagging along, they were the exact number thru the movie studio gate to appear in a film. Either that, or a "Food Fight" round where Charley Chuck makes it through throwing only pies.

Ferg sorry to hear about Toby! I know you said you're not religious, & Im actually not a cat person, but sorry for your loss. It's always difficult losing & grieving a pet.

Ooh, I see Talk Retro has been around since Sept 2015. & Retro Critical's shownotes describes "news & issues surrounding modern & retro video games". Emphasis on the retro me hopes.

Yeah Im sure DeCuir's a fun & interesting guy in his own right but WOW, was this interview dull. Made it 1/2 hour before deleting. Anywhoodles, anyone else having excruciatingly S-L-O-W iTunes download times for XEGS podcast ep. 2? Then bailing out when theres a tiny sliver left to go?

Just about any/every popular game & series from BITD, up to the last-gen (PS3). Well, I did play SNES LTTP. I have the means, but not the time or energy. i'm 44 now, y'know. I'd rather spend my free time napping or watching other people do things on TV shows while I sit or lay there.

I must've dreamed my version.

Hope it didnt turn into a barrroom brawl! S1500: "Hey, I used to listen to your podcast, but I dont care for it anymore & neither do a lot of people." JP: "Well, we do what we can with what we have. We still have a solid listener base." S1500: "You mean all those people whose money you're stealing." JP: "We dont steal it. They donate it & get special perks in return." S1500: "Like podcast "minisodes" that take longer to load than to listen to?" JP: "Listen, I've had just about enough of you." S1500: " HOW DARE YOU STEAL FROM INNOCENT LISTENERS!!!" JP: "WHY YOU...!!!" (advances on S1500, who blocks the attack, fistfight commences) Bob Mackie: "Everywhere we go..." (sighs)

Set aside a couple hrs on my "day off" today (I'm alone Fridays 'til summer starts) & played Indy 500, Enduro, Pole Positn (& no racing theme was meant), Omega Race, & became a Megamaniac. Also updated & added scores & games to my High Score notebook. Yep, I keep a Mead notebook with lists of my high scores for my systems. I have to revamp it soon as I acquired a bunch of 2600 carts recently. I'm also now recording the dates of my top scores, because it's fun.
