Yep we had a couple of them too. The button was slightly convex (rounded out, opposite of Atari button)

7800 Xenophobe IS a good port, thanks TO the controllers. I'm one of the few who dont hate the ProLines. They made the Xenophobe arcade version's overly-complex control system more manageable on the 7800. & a lack of various characters is a poor reason to knock it- all necessary gameplay aspects are there, it's a fine game overall. Lizzie = Creature of the Black Lagoon? Clearly she's based on Godzilla, she has a tail & is not aquatic. (Lizzie = lizard = reptile) Did you guys talk to Brian Colin? I couldn't tell by the 379 times you mentioned it.

I told a co-worker to call me "Captain Atari" until further notice.

Well, it's better than "Mr. Galaxian."
(That's another inside joke that only longtime AtariAge members would get.)

@atari2600land: Sorry, I revised my reply and screwed up the ordering.
I haven't seen Homer in a while. He's disappeared for long stretches before.

Visited last spring break with the family. My boys & I loved it, my wife couldnt have been more bored. My kids kept getting the puck stuck in that table slide bowling thing toward the back. The guy had a stick nearby used for just that occasion. & one son was crawling under the machines finding quarters, until the lady him to stop for safety reasons. Rightly so. The wiring's encased in conduit along the floor but they dont want to be faulted for anyone getting injured.

Hey gang, bad news...decided in my game room "revamp" to unhook & put away my 800XL due to lack of use. I was actually planning to type in a bunch of magazine games over the winter, but it didnt happen & now Spring has sprung. I will def. consider play in future contests. Sorry, & play on!

The more eps. i hear of this show, the more I know my early-adulthood was the norm. I listened to NWA, Eazy-E, etc etc back then too, & I KNEW what NWA song you were going to play! There was also the little ditty sung to the Dr Pepper tune..." I'm a n----, he's a n---" & so on. It was off "efil4zaggiN" the full album which was prefaced by a 5-track EP with "100 Miles & Runnin" on it & "Kamurshol" which of course is "Commercial", but I always thought was pronounced "CAM-er-shawl". Did you listen to any DOC, another guy Dre discovered? He was in an accident later on that damaged his vocal cords, & had a raspy voice thereafter. I imagine mention of "The Chronic" will be coming up, as it was a pretty big album. (sorry I dont get to talk 90s rap much anymore) Also I had a 16-year EGM collection, which began with June '91, & makes me want to follow along as you look at each issue. Sadly I got rid of it years ago due to space concerns; I wont say what happened to it, but it didnt go completely to waste. I had full runs of OPM, PSM, & Game Informer too. I should regret losing them but I dont. While I had the EGMs I got Ken Williams (Sushi-X) to sign key issues when I met him at Midwest Gaming Classic. He & Trickman Terry Minich(sp?) did a keynote there one year.

What's wrong with Trevor Mcfur and the Crescent Galaxy? !?!?
RJ replied to Scorponok's topic in Atari Jaguar
You're STILL wrong...it's "McFur". -
JFTR no one said the CTW games were made by Activision...I said such a condition is CALLED Actiplaque (-ing), so named because it's commonly seen on Activision carts, I'd say more often that not. & my last 2 listed (Oscar & Big Bird) are much worse than any Activision I have or have seen.

advans13, you seem to be the more personable guy here... -
This is called ActiPlaque, named for the Activision cartridge labels' subpar adhesive. I have the 4 CTW games, & mine from best to worst looking are: Alpha-Beam (decent pic label but end label is poor) Cookie Monster Munch Big Bird's Egg Catch & Oscar's Trash Race (tie, really bad, maybe worse than the link's pic)

FYI that "single paddle" is a driving controller for Atari VCS Indy 500. I may be interested in it if I cant find one locally. Where are you located?

Oh yeah, Rune: Viking Warlord wasnt bad. Crap, cant believe I got this far w/o mentioning Everblue 2, a fantastic unique diving sim. The 2 Endless Ocean Wii games are its spiritual successors. -

Forgot about TimeSplitters & Dark Alliance. i got TS on Launch Day 10/26/00. Waitied in line at Best Buy & got the next to last PS2, #95 out of 96. Also got X-Squad & the Saitek DVD remote. I have both Taito collections too. When I see them or the Midway Arcade collections sitting on used game store shelves, I get sad that they're forgotten & not in someone's collection. Really good compilations! -

The only one I still have is Dog's Life The eerie thing about Extermination is that its story took place in winter of 2003, sometime AFTER its release...& that's when I played through it. & in Tokyo XR0, I had tuned such a great car with awesome specs, I was easily beating anybody I raced. But when I got rid of the game, I deleted the save (& my car). Really kinda regretting that, in case I ever get the game again. -
