  1. Hey everyone! I'm continuing my "I'm Broke Sale" and I'm putting up two Magnavox Odyssey 2 homebrews: AstroDodge Color Clash Both games come with the hard plastic cases (like the European releases) with an end label, plus manual and cart. $55 each or $110 for both. PM me if you're interested. Thanks for looking! Jose
  2. That would rock! Although, agreed Pac-Man 4K already rocks (can't wait to get one!), but it would be super cool to have the cut scenes.
  3. Very impressive collection! I see you are a die-hard Jag fan.
  4. WOW! These Atari 2600 games look awesome! Thanks Al.
  5. Thanks Willard! I looked up Jungle Jag - it does look totally up my alley. A very nice looking game and of course a platformer. I figured the 3DO library would be just as sparse since it was also an unpopular console. I've never played Bubsy on the Jag, but I'm surprised by how bad people say it is, since I remember it being cool on the other systems. Oh well, I finally did get a Jag emulator working so I'll play the few that it has just to get a feel. Zool 2 was a fave of mine back in the day, so it's been fun re-playing it. I forgot how cool it was! But I recognize that it's a rarity in the library.
  6. I tried everything and couldn't get Virtual Jaguar to work but I tired Project Tempest and it works! Totally easy instal too. Wow, thanks guys! Now I'm going to play Zool 2. It was one of my favorites and just seeing the welcome screen brought back some fond memories.
  7. Although I don't have it, I'm glad that B&C Computervisions made the game available to Jaguar fans. Their Jaguar library seems impressive, I noticed a few homebrews from Songbird Productions that seemed really cool - Total Carnage and Frog Feast. Glad to see that the Jag is still alive. @Willard, thank you for the platformers list! I'm guessing I'm probably better off with an SNES and Genesis for some good 2D platformer action. 1. Rayman was a game I absolutely loved on the Jaguar. Was probably one of my favorites. Looked great, unique character, awesome gameplay. A well done Jag game. 2. Bubsy - been curious about it but never played. 3. Soccer Kid - I had no clue that there was a 3DO version! Soccer Kid was one of the Jaguar games I was looking into as it is a platformer and a homebrew. I did see that it has an $80 pricetag. Never thought of a 3DO not even when they first came out, not many platformers on that system either, ey? I remember Gex was a big deal but I don't think they had many others. 4. Zool 2 - another fave when I had the Jag. Well done characters and background, a fun game. 5. Tiny Toons - I think its cool from the YouTube videos. Have there been any homebrew platformers?
  8. I see your point, the game does looks cool graphically but there aren't enough Tiny Toon references to have made it stand out, and not enough original game play to have made it an awesome title. I just remember at the time being excited every time I looked at the back of the Jaguar box and saw the Tiny Toons game, the only license I recognized in the library. Having a Genesis and SNES, I was used to major license titles all the time - Tiny Toons, Mickey Mouse, Batman, etc. And 2D side-scrollers were in, so I was hoping at the time that the Jag would have an awesome one in Tiny Toons. Guess it was never meant to be. What are some good platformers on the Jag? I used to love Zool 2 and Rayman.
  9. Thanks Shamus! I downloaded the latest build from July 2012 - I noticed an improvement! I can hear the music and sound effects although they're still slow as the games in general. Could it be my comp? Any way around it? Here are the specs Processor: Intel CPU T2080 @ 1.73 GHz, 1733 MHz RAM 2.0 GB Windows Vista Let me know if anything else would be useful, and thanks for your help! I feel like I'm getting closer.
  10. I have 5 systems but I find I can't focus if they're all out. I want to play them all at once...I know I'm the kid in the candy store...can't make up my mind on which one to play. Also, I love buying homebrews and it gets pricey with multiple systems. While I'm a bit lazy, the Odyssey 2 is still near the TV, I've only been playing the 2600. It's kinda nice, I find myself gaming more as I focus on just one system. Fitting, as its the 2600's 35th birthday today.
  11. Happy 35th birthday Atari 2600!!! I need to get to gaming before the day is over...of course after I finish on AtariAge. :c)

  12. Spiderman...I love comic books, so thrown in a comic book game on my favorite console and I'm in heaven.
  13. I agree, heavy sixer would be more fitting...but wow! I almost let this important birthday slip by. Thanks for sharing!
  14. The game does seem to be on par with the SNES and Genesis but I still think it looks good. I feel like perhaps the Jaguar could've carved a niche by sticking to making awesome looking 2D games rather than the un-inspired 3D ones that Atari put out. I mean 3D was the next step but the Jag didn't appear to handle those well. Plus, Tiny Toons were a big part of 90s pop culture, I feel like a well known title like Tiny Toons (rather than a cheap knock-off like Kasumi Ninja) would've helped to push the Jaguar in sales, it would've at least made the system a bit cooler. I'm glad the final build has at least been released, not a complete game, but still looks fun to play and see what could've been.
  15. My laptop is an HP from 2006 running Windows Vista. Could that be the reason I'm having issues? Maybe my laptop is too slow? I thought I had downloaded the latest build of Virtual Jaguar but I will double check. I was trying to play Zool 2 but it was super slow with no sound.
  16. No worries wolfpaw1966! Whenever you're ready just let me know. I'm a huge fan of KC Munchkin as well, it's a nice twist on the Pac-Man formula and it's one of the better looking Odyssey2 games. I actually played a few rounds of Atari 2600 Pac-Man just for nostalgia's sake. I still think it's a horrible port of Pac-Man, LOL, but also iconic at the same. I love how many movies and TV shows use the sounds from 2600 Pac-Man when someone is playing a video game. I played a few games yesterday too! I played Enduro which was totally awesome! I love the change in the weather and time of day. I'm impressed by how much talented programmers could squeeze out of the Atari 2600. I mean given the simple hardware, it's amazing how deep some of the games can get. Enduro put me in a driving mood, so I played Night Driver next - it was late at night so I thought it fit the mood. I started it all off with a few rounds of Spiderman, love that game.
  17. Ah, thanks for letting me know. Virtual Jaguar did seem pretty user friendly but I wanted to make sure. Project Tempest seems cool, do you know which games it can play?
  18. I downloaded Virtual Jaguar - seems pretty cool! However, I've encountered some issues. I can't get any sound just some weird clicking noise sort of. I've enabled audio playback and the dsp, but no actual game sounds or music come out. Also, the frame rate seems to be off as the games move super slow. Please help a newbie out.
  19. I didn't have as many duplicates as i thought but here they are: Asteroids Circus Atari Space Invaders Let me know if you're interested! They're on the house. I have a Colecovision, it is definitely awesome. I also have the Odyssey2, I don't have Quest for the Rings which is a hard (and valuable) title to get complete nowadays due to all the small pieces. Looks like a fun game, but I agree probably not that much fun solo. LOL I do like their Pac-Man clone - KC Munchkin. Pretty cool. There were definitely a lot of cool systems back in the day. Speaking of which I need to get back to my 2600...
  20. Toby AKA y-bot is awesome!!! He bought 3 Odyssey2 homebrews from me and he was a pleasure to deal with. Fast and friendly communication and a fast payer. Hope to do deal with him again in the future. A+
  21. Thanks guys! I think I'm going to try that when I get home tonight...sounds like a good way to kick up the weekend by reliving my Jag days. I'll let you know what I think of the games.
  22. Is there a good Jaguar emulator out there? Feeling nostalgic, and I'd like to play some games.
  23. I wasn't aware of that. It's a shame, perhaps the Jag would've had a better game library if everyone on board was committed.
  24. Wow you only missed your Jaguar? That's cool. I had one in the 90s along with Genesis and Snes. I was an Atari diehard lol. Not sure if I could own a Jag now. :-)
  25. Why do you feel bad for people who made a go of the Jaguar? I remember the console but the crappy games left a sour aftertaste.
