So I just read a series of comics that came highly recommended for their "modern feel" and "mature themes." 'Maturity' and 'splattering transformers' head-goo all over' are not the same thing. Not by a long shot. Pretty much how I feel about video games too.

  Not really. I was hoping for something at least slightly thought-provoking. Something to interest a mature mind. Considering that the average comic (or transformer) fan is now a bit too old to be entertained with simple sex and violence. Perhaps the medium itself isn't up for it.

  Yup, totally agree. "Mature" video games used to be 688 Attack Sub or Battle of Antietem. Now it's swearing, blood and boobs.
