Reaperman

My mother recently moved to a small coastal town. I found a solid wood dresser for her guest room at a local thrift store for $50. Made with dovetail joints, solid. I think it's from the 1950's. The house was built in 1909, so it fits well. Nice classic design. Also got some solid wood small side tables and a coffee table for free (mortis/tenon joints). It's newer stuff -- probably cost a fortune. Someone had sat them out on the curb with a "free" sign on them.

I found a nice US Made OAK TV Stand/coffee table deal a few years ago locally (Paid about $500, but worth every penny)

Makes sense, most new homes and buildings are made of flakeboard as well. All doomed to fall apart.
