    Watching a sci-fi movie, wondering why the space aliens always have over-simplified hands. Surely the hands that build interstellar craft are capable of feats of dexterity well above our own--but no, they have flailing tentacle-hooks.

      The new transformers 'power of the primes' combiners have a thumb both at the top and bottom of the hand. It's a good start, IMO.
