Finished refurb of odd twin-stick arcade controller today. Nope, still suck at crazy climber. 🙄
-
The PiTrex came in today. That sure seems to add a lot of gaming to vectrex. Wow.
-
https://www.ombertech.com/pitrex.php $54(aud) ~$35(usd), plus shipping from AUS and supplying SD+Pi Zero WH. Came pretty fast, I ordered the night of 3/21.

Saw Gary Numan a couple nights ago. Incredible show. No idea why he tours with Ministry, they were far less great.

Did the world forget what mini golf was? 'Regular golf' is not an appropriate theme for a mini golf course.

@Reaperman yeah that's the sterilization of America/the world. Make everything boring and plain, dull. Try to appeal to everyone. you see this in architecture as well

Never leave HDDs in your laptops when you donate them to thrift shops. I like it when you do, but you don't like it when you do.

100gb left of data cap to make it 5 days. Then it resets and I can finally get the cue/bins for the duo jailbreak.

Dune2 was a neat movie, and now nobody'd better ever complain that David Lynch changed too much of the story.

Still need to see the second one...I really liked the first one because it made sense. Much as I like David Lynch stuff in general, his version seemed to imply you were supposed to have read the book before viewing...But not unlike Star Trek The Motion Picture, I got a whopper of a nap in when I saw it in the theater.

New car has a hidden 5v source right up in the headliner next to where a dashcam would go--that's neighborly!
-
Recently had to do an emergency replacement of vehicles courtesy of a blown head gasket. The replacement has USB ports and 12V outlets everywhere. Given how many electronic devices I typically travel with for work, that is an absolute godsend; installing that infrastructure in the old one was not something I was looking forward to.

Reversed course on a plan to chain HDMI switches--was stupid. Ended up setting up 2 quick-change stations w/ storage on current switch instead.
-
shantae advance preorders are open. The previous LRG order, I had a pirate rom from the internet MONTHS before my physical arrived...but fine here's some more money.
-
Memcard pro 2 gave me my ps2's second slot back. No need for dedicated FMCB. Also fixes large-card game incompatibility.

120hz gaming is freaking easy-mode. Why haven't I tried this sooner?
-
China doesn't seem to make a knockoff 2-way sanwa jlf restrictor. Circle, 4/8, octagonal, but no 2-way?

Gaming in analog tonight--Heart of Ice adventure gamebook. Died in an elevator in northern Africa.

With all this AI talk, the OTON console(s) aren't sounding as far fetched as they used to.
-
OTON-guy's not getting us there, but I'm guessing somebody will. I'm really paying attention to this AI Dungeon Master work. Depending on its tolerance for random player shenanigans, that could be almost a procedural text/audio adventure already. It's not hard to imagine prompts going into the code free 'construction kits' after that

Wow, Megatouch units are expensive and nowhere near as numerous as I'd think they would be.

Every few years when I go on a Dreamcast kick, I always wonder why I play anything that's not Dreamcast.
-
Finally went for a Gekko Dreamcast HDMI adapter--I'm an instant BeharBros convert.
-
I get my 3d shutterglasses out about every 5yrs, and it seems nvidia removed support for them years ago. I'm not doing old drivers.

Youtube: "Sure, we'll hide the shorts section for 30 days" ...😈

It stayed mostly dry, but hit 25 over night--New Orleans shuts down, and the news talks like it's the end times. ..I'm from WI.

The price on those prebuilt aliexpress gbs-c scalers got too low for me to ignore. I don't think I could make one for that.
-
Yep, it looks like I payed $55, which seems great value. It's faster than my old framemeister and seems to have some different specialties. I'd held off on the tinks/osscs since I'm moving more toward FPGAs with HDMI over scalers, but for that price I couldn't resist. Some day I'd like one of those 4k tinks, but not for many years.
