dont ever call me jimmy my world history teacher called me jim and when he went in for hip surgery we passed around a get well soon card and i wrote "get well soon dick (his name was richard(im not that mean)) love jim" needless to say he started calling me james for a few weeks anyway eh, but oh well no hard feelings really

i realize this has probably already been discussed but i couldnt find anything about it in the archieves so here it is again what do you think is the best way to store carts when i got my 2600 it came with a little thing to hold like 10 and a bunch of manuals and right now my collection is just too big to stack up and i dont really want to put them into a shoe box unless i have to i also remember having a tower for carts when i was a kid (much like cd towers you can buy today) it held 40 or so and spun around but alas i cant find one of those anymore any help would be greatly appreciated

settle down man i wasnt sayin she would. cuz anyone whos looked at these boards for any amount of time knows that ms pitfallaimee is revered like a goddess and rightly so (from what ive read of her posts she seems very nice, intelligent, caring,&c. (the list could go on but this post is getting kinda lengthy)) so any misconception because of what i said is deeply regreted a thousand most sincere and humble apologies mr StanJr but most of all to ms pitfallaimee if i (from my last post) caused you any grief or discomfort i am truly sorry from the deepest bowels of my heart i was only saying that when we go reenacting here in Republica we are equal opprotunists and thus we let women dress up like soldiers and play gi joe

really? that sucks we have at least 4 or 5 girls that dress up and play soldier with us we go by the five foot rule if they look like a man from five feet away then theyre good

why so harsh on the roadshow man i rather enjoy the show and seeing the looks on ppls faces when they think they got somethin real good and its worth like 50 bucks one time i saw this chick who thought she had this old civil war pistol but the guy showed her it was a reenacting remake made in italy gave me quite a chukle considering im a reenactor

thats a great story reminds me of myself except mine usually involved gi joes or star wars figs when i got my atari for christmas (last year infact) my mom wouldnt let me open it until i had only it and a few games to open i knew right away it was a gaming system but figured it was the dreamy PS2 but alas i knew right away what it was once i saw it was from my gandma and i tore it open i popped open the box and there was the heavy 6 switch woody of hers that she had actually given up so i could be happy the smell that wafted out of that box will be forever memorable needless to say i rushed upstairs with my new/old treasure and immediately began to play pitfall and asteroids again god bless ya g'ma
-
i remember those days with my brothers usually it was me sitting there watching them try to beat pitfall II and then hitting me when one of those blasted condors nailed them ah...those were the days
-
i cant believe we all forgot about the pitfall remake pitfall the mayan adventure for snes i myself never played but have only heard rave reviews about it and i do know that it did have a secret so you could play the original pitfall and i do believe theres been a raiders remake for the snes too i think it came as a cart with big scenes from the other movies i never played that one either and dont really know how much of the movie it covers
-
congrats my man i can really see you and your 2600 goin places i see you and moby and he laughs at the atari so you drop an elbow on his bald head and he cries like a baby ha ha atari always triumphs because good is dumb
-

that sucks dude there was a yard sale just down the street from me today i really wanted to go there but i had to go on a twenty mile hike i just saw those old ladies lookin around and thought about my local game dealer and how he might go pawin around through there slidin his grimy hands through his greasy hair and find some great games and then charge me outrageously for them ha but the jokes on him ill just go to sfield and rumage around the huge rubbermaid containers there full of carts and get some good ones for only $1.00 a piece revenge is sweet no matter how stupid...
-
the only one i can really remember playing was ESB and since thats like my all time favorite atari game id have to say that ones the best theres just something about it when the theme plays and youre invincible for just that long...
-
i remember that christmas too....wait a minute! that was this christmas god bless grandmas and their old ataris
-
thats kinda the point its not supposed to be like playing the originals its to give it a twist and a fresh new feel theyre supposed to be new games but still the games we love
-
i agree totally with you guys that nothing can compare to the original games however, sometimes its fun to see your classic games given more life they can be given more depth, more story, another chance to connect with the youth of today it gives a way for new gamers to bond with the old gamers and for the classic titles to live on mario was fun game, why are there so many more mario games? because it was enjoyable and the programers kept making more so that one day the kids playing mario now could relate to the kids playing mario then and how many of the atari games are enjoyable? ive played the namco museums and the gamboy arcade classics and i enjoyed the 3d tour of classic gaming and the different ways i could play joust or defender but i guess i just want more from my old titles

with some of the remakes of the classics like frogger, asteroids, and centipede that have come out for the newer consoles like PSX i was wonderin what you guys thought of em and if youd like to see more i personally would like to see a remake of bezerk in a first person shooter style with more guns and robots and somethin else besides a blasted happy face for otto and of course thered be a way to get to the classic games
