I say ban him. is -
sounds like a good haul you got. What games did you get? Oh yeah, welcome to the hobby and happy hunting. is

The first time I saw Beat 'em and Eat 'em on Stella I about crapped myself. Talk about scary... IS

I think playing for an ending is just as gratifying as playing for a high score. Take ROTLA of example, you can sit there and play it for hours just like you could play space invaders for hours and once you finally get that screen with Indy rising up and that little tune playing you get the same feeling as when you roll SI. Just my two cents. IS

I hope I can still enter. I'd say 194lbs. You can do it! Daddy wants some homebrews! is

Ahh blast! I was hoping to get this one. Oh well, congrats to the troll. All the entries were good. Fun contest too. There should be more like this one in the future. is

Is it just me or is the name Atlantis II a bit misleading? Having the "II" and the end makes it seem like it's actually a sequal when it really is just the same game just a bit harder. I just think it'd be better titled as Atlantis (Contest Version) or something similar. It just seems that Atlantis II wouldn't be the best thing to call it. Now if that's how Imagic actually refered to it then I guess I'd just void this entire post. is

inextremis staple replied to AtariKari's topic in Atari 2600
I know what games you guys are talking about. I've been searching for them for a while now actually. I know you cant get to them from the SB title page but you do get a glimpse of his night driver game on the tv. If only I could remember how to get to those... I'm convinced they took them off. IS -
I'll guess chopper command with 500 pts. is

Thanks fellas. I figured that was the case. Some people just don't know what they're talking about I guess. I thought you'd have to leave it on for months or so. He has a sharp 27" tv. Dunno if its plasma or not. He's out right now so can't ask. Ah well. Thanks guys. is

inextremis staple replied to Atarian7's topic in Atari 2600
can i still enter?? please? is -
Ok, I was playing my roommate and the guy next door in some PS2 game a few weeks ago. Needless to say I got my butt whooped. So I told them to wait till after thanksgiving and I'll bring my 2600 and school em in warlords. They of course where like, "wha??" But anywho, they said I'd better not hook it up to my roommate's tv because it'll burn the screen. I don't know what he was talking about so I thought I'd ask you guys. Have any of you seen this happen??? Supposedly you'll still be able to see the pac man maze or what have you. I've never seen this on my tv back at home. I have seen it on an arcade but never on a tv. Anyone know what's up? is

Writing another role-playing game for the ATARI
inextremis staple replied to Lord-Chaos's topic in Atari 2600
Sweet. Good luck. Are you just porting this to the 2600 or is this a totally brand spankin new project? I may just have to get some keyboard controllers so that I can try this puppy out. is -
I used to have one back when I was a wee lad. It was blue and would spin around and around. I don't remember how many carts it held but it sure was dandy to look at. Man, how I miss that thing. It was just about the only thing Atari related in my house at that time that my brothers let me touch. is

I like it. It flows very nicely and has a good beat. Be sure and let us know when you have more! is

Wasn't the alternate TCM supposed to be you hunting down Leatherface? I think I heard there was one where you were the sherriff or something and you had to stop him before he killed. I haven't heard anything about an alternate Halloween though. is

That would Pit Activision against Parker Bros. No, Atari re-released Q*Bert in the late '80's. They did the same thing with Donkey Kong, Mouse Trap, and a few others. I'm more confused about why he choose Q*Bert. I always thought Frostbite was more like Frogger. And if that's the case, what about Freeway? Anywho, is

The Pac-man esque cut scenes are very Atari. And man, that game is tough shnizzits. I think I've only made it to level 7. Maybe Paul might be able to squeeze it in as a mini game? I have no idea if he could or not but it'd be rad as a mini game. And hey! what about a real 2600 duck pond simulator??? That'd be bitchin'. is

? I'm confused. I swear that multiple space stations were on the screen at once. Or maybe you're just talking about the limitations of the 2600. is Wow, I think that's the first post in a long time that I've used capitals, punctuation, and sentences correctly. Hmmpf. the early levels feature few stations spaced far apart, but on the later levels it is quite possible to have many stations on screen at once and enemy fighters too. there is an absolutely fabulous version of bosconian for the x68000 computer, the best version i've ever played. it had updated graphics and music, but they made the excellent decision to not change the game play at all :-) Ok. That's what I thought. I could've sworn that there were some stages that started you off in a ring of the stations and you usually got your butt whooped if you weren't paying attention. If any homebrewer could conquer this challenge I'm sure there would be many thanks and praises going to him/her. This would be one game I would love to add to my collection. is
