  1. If its the time/investment compensation we are talking about You could protect your first run with PRE-PAY then release all at once

I like this. Pre-pay, and offer the potential customers a refund at any time or after a pre-determined time if the quota is not met. There would need to be an incentive, because people will simply wait till it is released and then download for free.

As an emulator-only junkie (for a number of reasons) I want to see some love from the homebrew community.

An Incentive option could be a type of PDF certificate with the realease number, say if you are selling 50 you could personalize the PDF Certificate with

buyers name and Number that way it could even retain some resale value ?

  2. Started to Dump the EPROMS going a little slow as It seems the emulators are rather finiky. Took sometime

to figure out the Dumps were good but the emulator would not run the game.

Also had to figure out the order of the EPROMs while combining, some need to have Blank 4KB space at the start

some in the middle and others still just simply need to be doubled up, we are talking the 2732s here the 2764s need 8K blank files.

Thanks are in order to MITCH and PacManPlus for helping me figure this out :)

I have dumped 6 so far all are working in one or the other of the two emulators I have installed (MESS or Jun52) I beleive only

one or two will work in both.

Here is the list of the 6 done to date, only 30 or so left to figure out :)

    Golf 2-10

    Baseball 7-26

    Last Starfighter 6-28

    Atari Open (RS TENNIS) 11-19

    Frisky Tom 020

    Microgammon 7-11 or 7-14

Hoping the rest will go faster as I am getting faster at testing and have a better idea of what needs

to be done with certain boards that have only 2 or 3 EPROMs and of course which emulator to use

  3. It's been too long since I did it via the command line, I usually just combine them in a hex editor now. If you need help send me a PM.

    Mitch

edit: looks like you got it fixed in the other thread.

Yup all taken care of, but thanks for the offer to help, much appreciated

  4. Anyone know how to combine BIN's I got the PROGRAMER II working and dumped "Road Runner" there were four 2732A EPROMs so I now

have four BINs and want to combine them to test the Dump so I am sure everything is working correctly. So if anyone can tell me or lead me to

some instructions on how to Combine them I can get to work finishing the dumps for tempest

  5. Update:

Just got the Programmer II in the mail today 12-28-2011 (was mailed 12-14 Priority Mail, hate to think how long it would of taken if it was not going Priority)

Anyway I will start to get these dumped hopefully in a few days, pcked up a bad cold over Christmas and dont really have the energy right now but should

    be feeling better soon

Tempest what is the best way to send the Roms email? do you have a way to combine them into BINs ?

  6. Instruction scans aren't complete, that's why it's not there.

We need every single page of the manual to add it.

    8)

Not to difficult only four pages total counting front and back. Oh BTW here is the back of the Contest entry form, the warranty insert is blank on the back

  7. Recently picked up these 15 CIB 2600 Sears Games I don’t collect the

Sears Variations so these are now available. Not being a collector of the Sears

Versions I really don’t have much idea of value.

I do know the Steeplechase is a Sears Exclusive So that may be of some interest.

I thought I would post the list with scans

    (link to scans Click Here).

I will consider any and all offers as I do not have much of an idea about

value. Please if you can offer a fair evaluation on a fair asking price I would

be interested in that as well.

All seem to have some minor to heavy creasing/crushing at the top of the

boxes, probably due to someone putting another heavy box on the top but

other then that they seem to be in excellent contition Please see the scans/pictures

at the following link to evaluate condition (all scans can be enlarged by clicking,

the enlarged scan will open in a new window simply close new window to return

    to thumb nail page)

  8. Here are some scans of the Alternate Name-this-Game Sweepstakes Box and Inserts that I could not find here at AA

or at AtariMaina it has the "and win $10,000" on the front also has "How to Enter" instructions on the back

along with a Entry form and Instruction pamphlet not shown at AtariMania. This also included the standard

square cart and looks to be New Old Stock as it seems to be untouched except to remove from. there is

glue residue on top right front corner of box left over from the KingNorman's clearence sticker I removed

    and still have btw.

This must of been an early release ?

  9. Yes, I own a pocket programmer 2 as well and it will read 2732 EPROMs fine. You just need to make sure your PC has a parallel port.

    Mitch

Thanks for the info Mitch I was not 100% sure as the information I was looking at did not mention the Programmer 2,

I have my old WIN98 computer with parallel and a XP lap top with Parallel I suspect one or the other will be compatable

    thanks

I will PM BOB and hopfully I can get these dumped for Tempest

  10. Hi Bob

Thanks very much for the offer, much appreciated.

I have just been doing some web research on the pocket programmer to see if it would work for me

and from what I can tell it wont do 2732's which most of the chips are

Thanks anyway I really do appreciate the offer but dont think it will work for me.

If someone else knows more about the specifics of the programmer II as to weather it will do

2732's please let me know, Thanks in advance

  11. You would need an EPROM programming since I don't think there is a dedicated 5200 cart dumper.

    Mitch

There is a member here that has built one but its on loan and they do not expect it to be returned

    anytime soon :(

I was sure someone had sent me (some years ago) either a link or instructions to build one but cant find the link or instructions.

Seems there is no one in the Bay Area who can help and I cant seem to find a dumper to borrow so my

last alternative would be to build my own but not sure if I can find instructions and be able to build one in time

since I am in the process of posting and selling them on GG, I am holding the ones I wanted to send to Tempest

for last so there is still sometime but my hopes are dimming.

  12. Atari Open

    What is 'Atari Open'?

    Allan

It must of been a working title or maybe something they were working on as a contest ? the game is RS Tennis but the title screen says Atari open

I have a picture uploaded here in an old post. I will update with a link as soon as I find it

  13. Need to borrow an Atari 5200 Cartridge dumper. I have somewhere around 40 or 50

5200 prototypes I need to dump and send to Tempest, some have not been documented thus far like

    Atari Open

Microgammon (Has option to change the board colors)

    Frisky Tom 020

#3 1-20-84 (is Rescue on Fratulas but the name on the label is only #3)

Stargate (I think this version does not have the slow down problem)

    BaseBall 4-21-83

    Track & Field 5-7

    Jr. Pac-Man 2-15

    And I am sure others

Anyway I am in the process of listing them on Game Gavel

    http://www.gamegavel...ry/11705-1.html

and want to get them archived for Tempest before there gone. I had promissed Tempest to do

this like 3 or 4 years ago but never could find anyone to help, was hoping to build my own cart

dumper but never found the time.

If anyone can help it would be much appreciated and of course I would pay to ship the

cart dumper both ways. Also if there is anyone in the Bay Area that can help the would be

    even better

    Thanks in advance

  14. Ok just got this from the brother of John Danielson who had worked at Atari Coin Op Div in the early 80's in the printing department.

Apparently he worked there during the time they switched to a new printing process were they used Ultraviolet light to cure the paint

as I also picked up a full size side art panel from Asteroids Deluxe that was used as a color example in the print shop.

Anyway I am curious if anyone has any idea why they would print up these reduced size side art along with reduced size control panel

and attraction panel decals ? were they going to make a small bar top Tempest ? a sales man sample ? some sort of prize ? I have no

idea but it sure is cool

I got a set of three Attraction Panel decals

set of three Control panel decals (sadly two are damaged)

set of four side art panels (L & R per set)

Negative sets for each of the above items (each set has 6 negatives, 1 for each color)

Xerox copys of the Blue prints for

Decal Control panel with hand written notes on print saying Finished size of part after reduction 5.94" X 4.78"

Decal Attraction Panel with hand written notes on print saying Finished size of part 5.94" X 2.35" after reduction

Panel, Side Left & Right With Hand written notes on print saying Finished size of part 17.50" X 8.00" Negs are actual size just ???? into positive

    Front Glass Monitor cover

    Frame Attraction panel

Maybe I should build a 17.5 " Tempest with origianl art work :)
