  1. While updating my Web Site I found this image on my HD not sure where I got it from but it

does show an Emerson system box along with a Warranty Card and 2 (what I think are system

manuals) for the Emerson System, Notice there are no game numbers on the front of the manuals

so I think One may be a system Manual and the other may be the manual for the games that are

    included within the Game System?

  2. Well considering its rarety I have only sold it once about two or three years ago for that price and it was on more than one collectors list

for years before that resulting in the high price. Keep watching because I am sure as soon as its seen by the collector who knows how rare it

is it will be BIN'd that is if its still an option when its found

Well, this is the same one that was parked on eBay since August 23rd at a $199.95 BIN and it clocked out on September 21st.

So maybe this phantom collector will now jump on it with this even better than $300 deal.

Are you looking for an argument ? I was just giving my honest opinion about its worth take it or leave it but

I dont see your need to start an issue with me ? Having a bad day ?

Just a word to the wise. That ACTIVISION TRAIL DRIVE STAMPEDE PATCH INTELLIVISION is a very good BIN

at 149.00 I have sold that patch in the past at 300.00. Its for sure the hardest Intv patch to find and

I am sure there are more than a few activision patch collectors in need of it

While I agree that the Stampede patch is the rarest of the Intellivision ones, I am curious as to when, and how often, you have sold it for $300.

The opening bid of $49.95 is reasonable given this patch's rarity, and perhaps some anxious collector would hit the BIN, but I'm doubtful.

  5. Found these Emerson/Dumont Manuals sometime ago and Fredric helped me identify them with the

    Emerson/Dumont Warranty card pictured below.

So if your a Collector of all things Channel F you may have somemore new items to find ;)

Looks like the Emerson Videoplay System had there own manuals here are scans of the front

of # 2, 3 & 4 although these do not have the name Emerson or DuMont on the manuals they

have the exact same design as this Emerson/DuMont Warranty card ( last picture below )

Here is an interesting clip I found on the DuMont Television history page

"The other DuMont assets were eventually sold or merged with other companies. DuMont sold its television manufacturing business to Emerson in 1958, and in 1960 DuMont Laboratories merged with Fairchild Camera and Instrument, where Dr. Allen B. DuMont served as group general manager and senior technical consultant until his death in 1965. While TV sets and other products bearing the DuMont name continued to be manufactured by Emerson and Fairchild into the 1970's, it was a pale reflection of DuMont's former glory. Eventually, the proud DuMont name was retired."

Having trouble posting the images so here are the links you will need to follow them to

    see the scans, Sorry ?

  6. Good tip. Any particular day off the week better than the others? Weekdays vs weekends?

Not sure but I try not to end my auctions on fridays or weekends as I just figure most are out doing

something and may not be able to be home or just forget. Weekdays other then Friday are my preference

but have not done any type of test to see which are best, also check ahead for holidays that may be

coming up and try not to end on those days or even during big sports games that may have peoples attention

  7. I have never sold anything on Ebay before, so I don't know any of the tricks. Is there a preferable time of day to have an auction begin or end? A preferable day of the week for an auction to begin or end on? Any other tips that might be helpful?

Remember the time difference, most video game buyers will wait to the last second do bid so being on the west coast I try to list

between 6 and 7 PM my time that way auctions are ending on the east coast between 9 and 10 PM, not everyone can access the internet

during working hours so ending auctions after they have time to get home will increase your chance of bidders being available to bid

  11. Just read the Mother of all Condition double talk statments

    Auction Quote:

    ===============

    Condition :

Tested but not sure if it works. Sold As-Is

Box and Manual are in excellent Condition

    =================

    End Quote

I wonder what the test was ?

Oh just to be clear this was a video game not a game system auction

dont want to mention the auction number yet as I may still bid but

fully expect the game not to work

  12. Just got of the phone with Jerry (Gerald) Lawson :) and have some

information on the Demo 2 it was indeed a Demo for the European Market

and used as a sales Demo for the system.

Also the System II was sold in some stores by Fairchild before the

sell-out although only for a short time before turning it over to Zircon.

  13. Could also just be that Jerry Lawson ordered it or the name of the rom-file on it.

My theory is that it was used to promote the system to buyers - to demonstrate the graphics to buyers like SABA, Luxor, ITT/Ingelen, Nordmende, Barco, Emerson/Dumont and others.

Perhaps we should try and forward the question to Jerry somehow.

Question has been forwarded, Looking forward to his response

  14. Was just looking at my own web site and noticed something I never noticed before

regarding the Demo 2 Channel F Cart

While looking at the Demo 2 PCB I noticed the imprinted writting on the gold ROM

it has the writting "JERLAW1" would this not be short for JERRY LAWSON #1 which leads

me to think maybe these were company gifts to the top Managment. Since one has been

found here in the US and one overseas maybe the Euro one was given to the top guy there ?

also noticed the date on the PCB is 11/77 and looks like the date code on the ROM is 7750

or 50th week of 1977 this would be during a high point date in there sales

Here is a link to a large picture of the PCB Take a look and tell me what you think
