I just wanted to state that if you don't find the sticker, I wouldn't consider this one boxed. Just state cart+instructions. I know you're not trying to mislead anyone but I have 5 boxes jut like the one pictured. Also, this one isn't worth anywhere near that much. I mean, the two complete lochjaw's I've seen for sale both have sold for under $1,000.I agree fully without the sticker Its just another box and I also agree the
price I listed on my web site is very high, but its more or less a BIN that I
intentionally set very high as I did not really want to sell it ought right but
instead wanted to take offers, was really only using the add for
convenience when offering it here
Anyway again Please don't let the price stop you from making an offer as
I have already received offers that are acceptable and will continue to
accept them until about 10:00 PM Friday, at that time I will be selling it to
the highest offer
PS I want this to be as fair as possible for everyone concerned so I wont
be disclosing the offers or sale price to anyone, I will make my decision on
the offers as received and will not be emailing anyone to see if they want
to beat the high offer.
Last I have not given up on finding the label and will certainly send it to the
new owner if I ever do find it but please don't expect it or consider it in the
amount you offer as I have already done a very intense search and have
not been able to locate it.

Hi,I also have a boxed Atlantis II which is the very one pictured here in the rarity guide.
I aquired mine along with the letters from the original owner. My box does not have the C 3203 on the spine, just the regular IA 3203. Perhaps there are two variations of the box. Did your sticker look exactly like mine?
Thanks for taking the time to comment on the C 3203 information, the
fact that your box does not have the C is very enlightening especially
added to the fact I know of another Boxed example with the white sticker
(ATLANTIS II) and it also does not have the C.
I was also curious as to why Imagic would take the time to special print
the box with only the one small change and not add any other notation, It
could even be that the scan we have seen is actually a special run mock
up box or even a box for another game system, I know the Atari 800
Atlantis box has IZ 4203. Anyway I have no doubt your box is the one
originally sent so I am now much more confident the one I have is also,
but without the sticker its just another box and impossible to prove (I
really need to find it). BTW the label I received looked exactly like yours
with the exception it was pretty tattered and even missing part of the right
edge.
Last to anyone who is interested please don't let the price I put on my web
site stop you from making an offer I intentionally set it at the very high
end so if it was to sell I would not be disappointed by a higher offer after
the fact

The time has come to sell one of my prized Atari 2600 items,
ATLANTIS II
If interested please send me your best offer, I need to raise some cash
for some unexpected bills.
Here is a link to the game with some screen shoots, I did a fast listing on
my web site so I could post the pictures and information all in one place.
http://www.videogamesauction.com/cgi-bin/a...item=1135832431
Here is the story, I purchase this item from a guy who purchased it from
the original owner.
PLEASE NOTE I can not guaranty the box is the original since the little white label that would have said ATLANTIS II is missing.
I did contacted the ORIGINAL owner after getting the game and box less the label and was relieved to find out he still had the label which he later sent me, I put it away in a safe place, so safe in fact I can't find it now (believe me I looked everywhere),
Another reason I cant guaranty the box to be original is I cannot be sure the second owner sent me the correct box, There is a possibility it could have been switched by mistake. I would not have ever doubted it except that I have recently been told the box should have a C 3203 on the spine and not the IA 3203 which is present on this one. I have only heard about the C notation from one individual so I cannot be positive if this information is in fact correct but All things considered it has raised enough doubt in my mind that I need to mention it.
Any questions feel free to ask

Have you opened them, I bet they are socketed and you can just read the EPROM's in on your burner?
Opened the Explorer and I don't think it is soldered but does not have the
typical black plastic base, looks like it is pushed down into the board with
some special gold colored caps on the individual pins, really don't want to
try and pull the EPROM for fear of damage.
Also after opening the case I notice the EPROM has a different date on the

By initiating a dispute, the buyer is not filing a claim. Instead they are initiating an on-eBay communication process with the seller. Thanks,

Why are they calling it a "dispute" and not "Initiate contact" or something similar.

Here is the post from ebay in case anyone is interested, Below that is an
update explanation from an ebay pink
to: eBay Announcements
***Coming in January: Item Not Received Process***
Date: 11/17/04 Time: 03:02:14 PM PST
In January 2005, eBay will be launching a new method to help buyers and sellers communicate and resolve disputes when a buyer experiences a problem. The new Item Not Received process will introduce a set of product and policy enhancements that take the mystery out of what to do when the buyer has not received an item or has received an item that is significantly different from what was described in the listing.
Why the Item Not Received Process is Important:
Today, when there is a problem with a transaction, it can often be unclear to both buyers and sellers what steps they can take to reach a successful resolution. This can lead to added frustration and a negative member experience for both transaction partners. The new Item Not Received process will help both buyers and sellers understand what actions to take in the unlikely event that a transaction problem occurs.
Benefits of the new Item Not Received process include:
-Enhanced Buyer-Seller Communication System -- Buyers will be able to initiate a dialogue with sellers from within My eBay. This system is designed to facilitate positive outcomes. At each stage of the process, eBay will provide guidance to both the buyer and the seller, through educational tips and next steps that may help them resolve the problem.
-Consolidated Dispute Console in My eBay -- Buyers and sellers will be able to track and respond to any Item Not Received or Unpaid Item dispute from one location in My eBay.
-Improved Member Education -- New buyers are often unfamiliar with what to expect on eBay. The new process will emphasize education for new buyers at each stage of the process. It will also require that buyers wait at least seven days to initiate a dispute. This will give the buyer time to learn about standard delivery times and other processes related to purchasing items on eBay. In addition, both buyers and sellers will receive resolution tips to improve chances for resolution.
-Shorter Waiting Period -- Buyers who are unable to resolve a dispute with the seller will not have to wait as long to file a claim through the eBay Standard Purchase Protection Program. A buyer will be able to close the dispute and file a claim 17 days after the listing ends on eBay. (Currently, there is a 30-day waiting period).
-Better Integration with PayPal -- Buyers who pay with PayPal will be brought directly to PayPal to initiate a claim. PayPal will determine if the claim is eligible for coverage and will pay the claim directly based on criteria for PayPal Buyer Protection [https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_pbp-info-outside] or the eBay Standard Purchase Protection Program.

As we draw closer to launch, please look for more updates and informative workshops. We welcome your input on the new Item Not Received Process, and we encourage you to email [email protected] with your comments.
Regards,
eBay

Hi Everyone,
We appreciate all the feedback on the new Item Not Received or Significantly Not as Described process.
To clarify a few things…
Opening a Dispute vs. Filing a Claim. Even though Opening a Dispute is a necessary first step before an eBay Standard Purchase Protection Program claim can be filed, we strongly believe most transaction problems will be resolved before a claim is actually filed. The Item Not Received process is heavily weighted toward helping buyers and sellers communicate with one another when, during the first week after the transaction closes, such communication is not happening.
Seller Obligations under the Item Not Received process. No part of the new Item Not Received process requires sellers to ship their items by a particular date, though there are advisory pages that aim to help set reasonable expectations for buyers. The seller’s obligation is, first and foremost, to respond to the buyer’s dispute. The process offers a structured way for sellers to do so including “resolution tips” along the way designed to make communication as effective as possible.
Earlier Timelines. Today, buyers who have transaction problems must wait 30 days to begin the claims process on eBay. This process replaces the Fraud Alert process which is a) hard to find, 2) not very intuitive and 3) helps the buyer conclude that fraud has actually taken place when, in fact, it probably has not. There is no interim stage to help mitigate the “zero-to-panic” buyers feel when they believe something has gone wrong. The Item Not Received process is an on-eBay tool that helps facilitate communication between buyer and seller. The buyer may open a dispute no earlier than 7 days after transaction close – giving them time to reach out to sellers using email and/or phone. By initiating a dispute, the buyer is not filing a claim. Instead they are initiating an on-eBay communication process with the seller. The Item Not Received process then allows the seller 10 days to respond to the buyer. So, the earliest day a buyer could file a claim is day 17. If a buyer ignores all communications from the seller and goes through the process as quickly as possible, the buyer would be able to escalate to an eBay Standard Purchase Protection Program claim 17 days after the close of the transaction. The eBay Standard Purchase Protection Program process then informs the buyer that it may take 2 weeks for an eBay claims administrator to contact them. In such cases, the first Claims Administrator contact would be 31 days, or just longer than the 30 days specified by the Federal Trade Commission. In most cases, no penalty is likely to be levied against a seller until an eBay Claims Administrator is engaged with the claim.
We hope this helps to clarify some of the concerns.
Thanks,
Larry & Colin

This seven day period better be longer when the two parties involved are in different countries.Oh, what the heck is a Pink?
The new "Item Not received" in 7 day dispute will be enforced no matter were the item is sent (international included).
A Pink is a ebay employee that will post on a ebay message board, they have a Pink highlighted header so they have become known as pinks

Come January I will be strictly BidPay (NO PayPal) and will remove my CC from my automatic pay ebay fee option.Does not matter what type of payment was used or destination.Using Bidpay supposedly doesn't make a difference. They probably can't retrieve the funds though, in which case they just suspend your account

The reason for only using bidpay and not having a CC on file is so they cant take the funds without my OK that way I retain some control over how much they can screw me for

Hopefully enough sellers will do the same and ebay will see that there new attempt to get all sellers to only use PayPal will have had the opposite effect

7 days?Does eBay think every payment is made by PayPal ..
Actually if you read the ebay message boards about this the pinks have said the buyer can file the dispute even if they have not even sent the payment

and If you think this is bad wait for the begining of the year when ebay starts there new

Did you at least get the 400.00 or did they cancel the transaction also ?
You would think they would let you know about the possibility of freezing your account if you take xxx amount out of the ATM, instead they let you find out the hard way and then force you to figure out how to fix it, which when dealing with Paypal could be next to impossible at times.
ebay/paypal, there has to be a better way !

I'm curious thou, to the people who have registered there in the past, shouldn't we still be able to login & bid? From the auctions you ran with the labels with those initials on them?
Sorry but no the old registered users are not in the data base.
I would have added those names to the list of users but since this is a real time auction and it uses passwords that are generated by random during registration, which by the way I cannot access, I would have no way of knowing if they were going to the correct account mainly because no one is expecting the password/email and they would not know if it was not received
As for the reason I am running it as an Auction rather than just selling them Outright is two fold, first I really don't know what the value of these are anymore as the price has gone down since ebay no longer allows them, Second if I just post them with a sell price I am leaving myself open to selling them to cheap
or getting flamed for asking to much, So it seems much easier to let the interested party's decide the value.FND

Too much of a pain to register at another auction site, really. I'm curious though, have you had these dumped and the ROM's compared to the release versions to tell if they're different? No I have not compared the ROM'S
BTW typing in a email and mailing address is't really that hard

I have decided to AUCTION a couple of my Atari 5200 Prototypes I am starting with the following two
RS TENNIS - in case with original Atari Loaner Label, small white label reads Tennis EPROM Cartridge
and eprom window stickers have 343 date code, I think this is a WIP from 12/9/81 since the final Ver.
is 3/4/82 but I can't be sure since I don't have a released RS TENNIS to check it against
QIX - in case with only the small white label that reads QIX EPROM Cartridge 11/Nov/82, the eprom
window stickers have QIX in type and then 11-11 in Ink pin. Again I don't have the released game
to check it against so I am not sure if its the final Ver. or not.
Both games have been tested and seem to work fine but I have not done any real in-depth testing I
only loaded them up and played them for a few minutes to make sure they were working.
If anyone is interested in bidding on one, Here are the links
http://www.videogamesauction.com/cgi-bin/a...item=1099792811
and
http://www.videogamesauction.com/cgi-bin/a...item=1099794656
Or if you want to see all the categorys here is the main page link
Below are a few things you should know about the auctions
You will have to Register first, this requires your mailing address, email address and your choice of user name.
The email address you provide will be the one that receives your password, winning bidder and/or outbid notices,
Passwords can be change by using the "change Registration" link at bottom of page.
If you forget your password there is a link at the bottom to get it emailed to you, you must use the link as I don't
have access to your password, its stored on the host server.
The auctions time is in EST time so if you are in another time zone please take this into account,
The Auction will automatically extend for five minutes if a bid is placed within the last five minutes.
Bids can be placed as a Proxy or a Regular Bid, a Regular Bid will place the full amount of your bid all at once,
Proxy is the default.
There is a "my history" link at the bottom of the page, use it to see your bidding history on all items.
It will display Items won and amounts bid for current auctions.
Last if anyone wants to list some games or items email me using the ask seller a question link on the auction page
I will email you the listing link, it will be free but you will have to do your own promoting, emails are automatically sent
to the lister and winner after the auction closes so I will not be involved at all.
