  1. I have been unable to get hold of Sean Kelly. I paid for a cartridge LAST MAY and finally got it after almost 5 months and posting on this forum. Unfortuantely, I got a defective cartridge and verified this with someone he knows locally (the folks at Ground Control). He has ignored any emails I sent since late October when he asked me to verify it on another machine, which I did and wrote him in early December and again each month since. Has Sean Kelly "gone bad"? Did he change his email address? What's up with this guy?

I feel sorry for anyone that gets involved in any type of deal with this scam-artist :x

This is the same person who told he can change 3 of my River Raid Intellivision prototypes into the League of Light I owned to make more money.

I had a problem with stuff he said over email. I asked him to email his # so we can talk about it over the phone. The coward wouldn't give me his phone #. He loves to talk tough over email, but hides behind his computer.

Is this Ben from across the bay ? how ya doin ? Find any more proto's lately if not your over due, for awhile there you were finding them on a regular basis.

I remember when you found those Intv protos (league of light, Robot Rubble, Happy Trails, River Raid ) and you told me about his offer to copy and replace the EPROM's. I could be wrong but I thought you had sent them to him for verification, Only one copy of that was ever found and I believe the case was melted or burnt in some way ( I remember most of them looked like they were saved from the incinerator) you don't happen

to have a picture or scan of that original item do you? It may be useful if

    multiple copies start to surface.

  2. I would really like to close this issue, but Sean either continues to ignore my emails or has changed his email address. Does anyone have ANY contact info on Sean Kelly? Address? City? Phone number? New email? I am certainly not going to throw away $125. I'm about ready to file criminal fraud charges, but I'll give him the benefit of the doubt in case he changed his email address and isn't really ignoring me.

    Thanks,

    -Mike

I am sure he will be at the Classic Gaming Expo 2004 here is San Jose

this coming August 21st and 22nd, Not sure if you are going but if not maybe you can set it up for someone to pick it up for you or even put in a word for him to contact you

BTW on a side note if anyone is coming in for the CGE2K4 and would like a ride from the Fremont BART Station (Save yourself a car rental) contact me as I am sure I could give you a ride

    Good luck' date=' FND! :)

    Cheers,

    Marco[/quote']

Thanks for the good wishes, It will be interesting to see what happens

I was thinking I may need to try and cross list this on one of the PAL country ebay sites but I have no idea how to do it, or even if it can be done?

If anyone knows if its possible to list one item on two ebay sites at the same time and how you would go about doing it please let me know

    Thanks

  4. I have one cart I'd like to display either on my desk at work or on the wall. I'm looking for an acrylic type case that would work.

Has anyone else done this or any ideas

I picked up these display boxes up at a collectors show' date=' they have acrylic window and are very well made using a black textured material for covering over thin wood. They come in a longer version that hold two boxes very nicely ( Miner 2049er 1 & 2 ). The game cart is also in the same type of box. I bought 10 and got them for like 3.00 ea.

BTW I sold this item late last year

  5. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/ebayISAPI.dll?ViewI...item=8118865873

I saw one of these sell the other day for about 30+ US for the keyboard and about 20+ US for the computer module.

The digital press has a rarity of 6, but apparently the brown is rarer?

    Cheers

The white are US and the Brown versions are the international versions, the Brown are harder to find

in the US considering they were not released here but they are becoming easier to find now since a lot

    have been imported through ebay.

  6. Do you stand them up by hand on the scanner?  I'm just wondering, this is really an outstanding bit of customer service on your part, IMHO!

    Thanks again,

Most of the time I just stand them up and scan them although sometimes I have

to hold them in place if the box is creased to much.

My scanner can be set to only scan the area I want so I can save time by only

scanning the first 1 and 1/2 inches.

To scan the cart and cart edge, box and sides, instructions and inserts and then combine

and crop the images, it takes about 10 minutes total.

  7. Here is a boxed Tapper I have up for auction on ebay

I like how you do that composite of the box flaps. Are those scans, or do you have a mounted camera?

Thanks, those are scans, it takes a little longer to get it all together but

I don't mind taking the extra time to show the exact condition of what's

    being sold.

I have been disappointed in the past when I have purchased

what looks like a great item and then find its less than I had expected.

  8. No one has taken into account that if an item is sent to a foreign country and for what ever reason the Item

cannot be delivered it will be sent back to the original sender with the return postage due.

when sending a package over 5 lbs there is a different customs form used which has a multiple box question for

Sender's Instructions in Case Of Nondelivery

    [ ] Return to Dender

NOTE: Item subject to return postage charges at sender's expense.

    [ ] Abandon

[ ] Redirct to Address Below

The likelihood of that happening is so remote that it's impossible to justify such an exorbitant fee as a form of "insurance" against it. More to the point, if that remote chance occurs and there's a non-delivey, then the chances are vast that it's either the fault of the seller writing it down wrong, or the buyer giving it incorrectly. Either way one of the two is at fault and can be held accountable for it one way or another.

If you're really concerned about it, tick the "abandon" box. :-)

I just mentioned it as a posable expense along with the other drawbacks of international shipping.

BTW I also think 15.00 is excessive, but if his intent is to discourage international

shipping he is on the right track

  10. I think I remember that auction if I am not mistaken the fact that there was a sticker with the Atlantis II

on the box was mentioned, at the time I had no idea what it was and thought it was just a regular Atlantis

that someone just put a sticker on.

BTW I have since added a boxed Atlantis II to my collection  :D , No letters though.

    FND

Excellent! So, what's your story on how you got your boxed Atlantis II?

I'm only aware of one other person with a boxed copy besides ours. Do you want me to make photocopies of the Imagic letters for you? :?:

I got this game from ebay

The story is pretty weird though as the guy selling this game had told me it was his cousins

who had traded a BB gun and 5 Atari games to his older brother for it, Not sure why this guy

had to fabricate such a lie for no apparent reason but if you read on you will see it all worked

    out in my favor.

Not to long After the auction was over I got an email from a friend who noticed there was

another auction that had ended a few weeks earlier with the exact same picture, getting

somewhat concerned I emailed the other seller and politely asked if he had sold it to the guy

I just bought it from, he confirmed he had and than continued to offer me the box which he had

just found, thinking I was going to be the victim of some master con Job I answered and told him

I would like the box but would have to wait until I received it before I could give him any money,

to my surprise he told me I could have it for free and he only wanted the cost of shipping.

After I received the game I emailed the seller and explained what I had learned, he sent back a

totally fabricated lie with holes you could drive a truck through, I don't recall the specifics but believe

me it was pretty funny stuff.

I already have copied the letters that are here at AA, I assume they are

yours ? Although full size copies would be great.

  11. Someone asked how I got the boxed Atlantis II...I aquired it from the original owner who was trying to make it to the Defend Atlantis shootoff in Bermuda. I also got all of the correspondance letteres from Imagic which he saved all those years. He managed to keep all of his stuff in excellent condition.

I discovered it in an eBay auction many years ago where he was selling his entire childhood Atari collection. There were also at least 40 other boxed games, all excellent and complete including a boxed Superman with mint wallet. There were numerous Activision patches, all with thier letters (he was obviously an excellent gamer,)  as well as a few issues of Activision's newsletter, Activisions. There was also a boxed heavy sixer included.   :)

  12. 2) OK, you lost out on an Atari cart bargain. Shame. Yes, it's annoying. Yes, it's unfair. But it's hardly earth-shatteringly disastrous, is it?

That depends on who you ask. Do you have an idea as to their value? I'll give you a hint: you can buy a nice used car for about the same price :)

So how much do people think this is worth? How much is Rick willing to pay for it?

I would guess Ultravision Karate could get 2000 to 3000 maybe more, and thats because its just impossible to find, let alone convince someone to sell, and that's if you could find someone who owns one.

  13. I asked the seller about that Japanese one, I dont think it was a 10, it seemed like it was a pirate cart from how he explained it... Was it a rare one???

PS: anyone know any info on the Condor attack???

This is not the cart in question as I got this one sometime ago.

I don't beleive its a pirate, but I must confess I have no idea as

I have not been able to find any information about it, If anyone

here has any knowledge I would be very interested to hear it.
