  1. Atari Japanese 2800 game boxes FA ending soon

    http://cgi6.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?View...5&since=-1&rd=1

These items wear uncovered in 1996

when Atari went out of business.

These wear part of a small cache of unused

boxes found in the Art Dept. when they

    were cleaning out the building.

This box is literally straight from the

printer and has never been unfolded to put

    the game in.

    HISTORY OF ATARI 2800:

    -------------------------------------

The Atari 2600 was not released in JAPAN, instead it went

by the name Atari 2800 and was not very popular mainly because within

a few months the FAMICOM / NES was released and the Japanese

consumers decided to go with that system instead, the 2800 was discontinued

    shortly after.

    RELEASE DATES IN JAPAN:

    Atari 2800 4/?/1983 24800 Yen ($190.77)

    Famicom/NES 7/15/1983 14800 Yen ($113.85)

  2. Well if nothing else it shows another Survival Island that says PAL in the upper right hand corner which I believe was the way they were all marked regardless of weather they are PAL or NTSC, Please if anyone has one without this or better yet one that says NTSC I would be very interested to hear about it.

  3. Since I messed up the last post and cant correct it here it is again

I'm confused about EBay's fraud protection thing.

Do I have to wait 30 days before filing such a claim? The seller has not gotten back to me so I assume she ripped me off intentionally. I am not sure what steps to take next.

Don't even bother going through Ebay. Since you paid by credit card' date=' you are covered through your credit card's fraud protection plan. File a chargeback through them.[/quote']

The problem with doing a charge back against AuctionPayments.com is what will be the reason for the charge back, they can prove they gave you what you paid for, a Western Union Money order, I cant see any grounds to recover your funds since you did receive what you paid for.

I would start looking into filling a fraud charge with her local police dept. and every other organization that will listen, I am sure there are more and others here can help you with which ones will get you the best results

  5. Yes, The label had to be removed that label was actually under another K-TEL label, was not that difficult using a hair dryer.

The Lindner Stamp Care supplies are available in Canada through there Canadian Subsitiary listed below but I just checked the price and it has gone up quite alot since I did this a few years ago, I remember paying like 20.00 for all three chemicals when they were running a special but it looks like the price is more than double that now. I don't think it would be worth the cost now unless you could buy it on sale

  6. I actually made him an offer and he accepted it. I made the paypal payment and then he tells me that someone else offered $90 & if I wanted to match it. I then told him that I could not afford that much at this time and spilled the beans on the rarity of it. I figured if I could not get it on the side then I might as well prevent someone else too  He then refunded my payment back. So at least he's an honest seller :D He could have screwed me on the payment but he was nice about the whole thing.

I don't consider that fair at all if you had made a deal with the seller and had even sent the payment how does he come back and say someone else offered more and

now wants you to pay more, The deal was finished where does he come off even suggesting you should pay more, When this auction ends and the second highest

bidder or someone else offers more will he again want more from the new winner ?

  7. I didn't ask for a list, just figured that these new-old-stock games would be worth $4-$5 each. I guess the winning bidder thought they were worth even more  :|

    Cheers,

    Marco

Same here even with the shipping My bid was only 4.66 each

  8. Last fall, I bought all 12 Supercharger cassettes and manuals along with about 12 cartridge holders (some still in the box), about 10 common carts, some Atari mags, some boxed joysticks and other odds and ends for $50. :D

I can definitely tell you that the last two Supercharger games didn't come with boxes, because

    A) he said he bought them all via mail from the company back in the day and they came without boxes;

    B) the manuals for them are not on glossy stock and contain no cover graphcis.

    C) they didn't have cover inserts in the tape cases, so I don't imagine they'd forgo covers for boxes.

I was so psyched to make that deal, as I had the box and manual for Supercharger Frogger but no cassette, so I figured I'd never complete it--but I did. Good things come along if you wait.

I am curious do your cassettes of Sword of Saros or Survival Island

say PAL in the upper right hand corner, I have seen

Probably five or so and all say PAL including the two I have which by the way play fine

on my NTSC setup. Also I cant remember were I read it but there was a discussion

(not on this board probably RGVC) and the conclusion was they all have

this case with the PAL notation.

If anyone has one without the PAL or says NTSC I would be very interested to know.

  9. I have all the games new in the box except for 2, Swords of Saros & Survival Island and so far I have only seen pictures of one man who has them.

      :ponder:  8)  8)

I could be wrong but I think those boxes were not original, I am pretty sure they never came with any type of production box

  10. PAL Supercharger games load on NTSC TV?   :ponder:

If I am not mistaken all the Sword of Saros and Survival Island cassettes say PAL but I could be wrong, I do know they worked fine on my NTSC set the last time I played them which was a few years ago

whats up with those boxes and casset labels? Ive never seen em before, didn't know they exsisted.. always thought they came 'just casset"

The cassette case insert was made from an image I got off of the "Stella gets a new brain" CD, All the rest is original though
