When my father and I went to Montgomery Wards and bought their Atari 5200 store display. I wish I could find pics of it, they are somewhere.

Working in a video game store, I have had a few N64 with roaches, alive and dead. The first thing I check on them is the expansion port on the bottom, if there is some in there, 90% chance there is more in the inside. There is a LOT of screws holding that nice and warm motherboard to the bottom shell-so it takes a while to clean out.

O/T Anybody interested in Laserdisc movies?
Ralph3 replied to Wester's topic in Buy, Sell, and Trade
I'm a little interested. I just picked up another LaserDisk player a couple weeks ago (and looking at another). -
Atari games went up this weekend. Mostly loose but also a few boxed.

I have seen 2 going to the VG auctions. I wish they worked (fully) to see how to properly play it.

Here is a great page with Hyperball info: http://www.ipdb.org/search.pl?any=hyperbal...earchtype=quick Killer list of video games is no good for pinball games. Your welcome!

From what I can tell (by the pictures I was able to find and actually barely see) there are 2 different boards (slightly), on both- if you have the edge connector on the left, it looks like the volume control is in the top left corner and is a small white knob thing (pot is the short term for it) by some blue capacitors.

with your 6 foot tall At-At that was sold a few months ago: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...item=3188595825

I think the last one I saw fs went for above $1500. Not a cheap game. I think I posted an old one months ago on this board.

If it does have the flux in it, it is usually too THICK to be useful, it is mor acidic than by itself, and mostly for heavy guage soldering or welding pipes together. It is best to use very thin solder for those smaller traces. You have better control and usually has a lower melting point for the smaller traces(I know I am just repeating my self). Save the thick solder for welding

Also solder flux is a big help. Use the kind you brush on. Makes it a lot easier to solder.

Why not just use a music CD that you have in the meantime to test the drive and VLM. If that works, Most likely the Jag CD portion works. No extra money out of your pocket if the drive doesn't actually work.

Where can I find a cheap, generic cabaret cabinet?
Ralph3 replied to Zaxxon's topic in Arcade and Pinball
That game was at the auction on April 4 here in St. Louis. I didn't catch the price of it (wish I did) -
I thnk I remember an article about Mortal Kombat (not sure which one, 3 maybe) was going to be a Jag CD game, (or was it cart).

I've always wondered if you could wire up a track ball to a "consolized" MVS system. Never looked into that since the kit itself is so rare. Tempest The board for IM is modified for that one Neo Geo game. I don't know what the modification is though.
-
You need to find a dedicated cabinet for IM. Totally cool. When you hit the "metal" or other objects with your sword type apparatus, ithe machine blows burnet electric air into your face. Really enlightens the experience. Nothing like doing the real thing done in the Japanese game show, but SAFE enough for me. Don't get me wrong, I would live to do the real thing.
