I remember seeing those boxes. I wish I remember WHERE I saw them. It might have been Montgomery Wards,Best (not Best Buy), Zody's, maybe Service Merchandise, when the box gets damaged and replaced with this type of box. I had a few back in the day. When I lived in L.A. CA.
FP games (most of them?) came in big clamshell/gatefold plastic cases.

The blue thing on the bottom-left corner might be the DC plug. And why isn't the controller ports in the front?
-
not to mention they just snagged up AFL licenses (arena football), which would have been one of the only refuges for sega's digital concepts. Little bastards.Arena football league contacted them way before the NFL exclusive licensing.

Would there happen to be a Pac-Man VS. mode like the GameCube!?

Thanks for pointing out the shipping cost. I had that on my watch list but I don't want to pay $200 for shipping and I don't know if I would have the time to drive to pick it up.You buy gas and lunch and I'll go for you!

That makes more since now with the fire button placement. Ralph, the keypads didn't hold up well? They look like a old phone keypad which seemd like it would be sturdy. Was the joystick truly arcade-like?The keypads were completely made of cheap plastic, they should've used a metal plate to help hole it together better than tan melted plastic posts and a couple nuts/bolts. They flexed A LOT and weren't very responsive so your normal thinking is to push harder when it doesn't respond immediately. The joystick was superb! Self centering! Very responsive. Just how the real controller should have been.
-
I believe the fire buttons are on the sides. The two in the center are likely Start & Reset. No need for a pause button on a kiosk. That is correct!

"Atari" is the Kleenex of video games; a term unto itself used to describe a game system. It drives me crazy when people call:
Joysticks/controllers are called "Paddles"
Remote controllers are called "Clickers"
Refridgerators are called "Ice Box"
I had one black guy come into the car stereo shop I was working in saying his "Chucker" wasn't working.
What is a "Chucker?" I asked.

I had one of those for my NES, little awkward to use and at the same time comfortable. The whole dome tilts like a joystick (imagine using a big mouse that won't cramp your hand like using one of those small notebook mouses). Just wish it was a larger base with more comfortable buttons.

Does anyone know how much an item like this would cost to ship? I am interested but I don't want to pay $500 for shipping. That damn thing is heavier than an arcade machine. I wish I still had mine

You had one and got rid of it! I could have picked up the one that you had and paid cash.
This was back in the 80's when I lived in California. Got it no later than 84, and finally bit the dust in 88 when the moniter was shot, then the 5200 motherboard went out (I swear one of my sisters friends did something to it), the keypads were totally shot (cheaply built keypads, constantly fixing), it survived a move into a smaller house (placed in the family room) and placed in the garage when we moved. The garage had a "NEW" roof and shortly after the so called "NEW ROOF", we had a leak right above it, damaged the cabinet a little bit. That didn't help either. So instead of having a cabinet with no working parts, I ended up gutting it out and sort of turning it into a TV,NES unit. I put my NES into the section where the carts are shown in the auction pic, there is supposed to be a big HEAVY spinning cylinder that is there that has game info on it, the NES barely fit in there. Long after I moved back here (St. Louis), I found my carts I had for it and got into collecting classic games & systems, I had a good 20 games for it including all the CBS games, Star Wars Arcade, most of the Atari releases, Kaboom, Frogger, and a few other good titles, but no real Holy Grails. I know there are a couple photos floating around my house somewhere, when I do find them, I will post it.

I get at least one of those a week. Along with the one that says in the e-mail that you will have to enter bank/credit card number and PIN for it and the normal crap like that. I am tired of it.

JogCon™That's It!™
-
You might be looking for a NegCon. Kind of like a normal thicker white(cream white) and it twists in the center with a couple analog buttons for gas/brake. I bought mine through Babbages back in the day and I currently have no plans on getting rid of it. Pretty neat but a little awkward to use. Then there it the one that came with Ridge Racer IV (4) (can't remember name) which kind of looks like a normal PS controller with a knob in the center and uses real force feedback. Again, neat but a little awkward to use.
-
I have seen Yars' Revenge and Tempest on eBay a few times.
-
Those games are not compatible with the Sega Saturn. That might be your problem. Also:1. System not plugged in.
2. Joystick (or paddle) plugged into wrong place or not plugged in at all.
3. TV is not turned on.
4. You are facing the wrong direction. If you don't see a TV screen, turn around.
5. Your Atari 2600 doesn't like you because you're stingy with the deodorant.

6. You are not playing said game on said system.
7. Open your eyes if they are closed.
8. Turn TV on correct channel/input.
9. Remove head from certain "hole".

Now I know the seller is new to Ebay and has a "0" feedback, but doesn't he at least understand punctuation or the possibility of using the "enter" key to create seperate lines for each of the games. Not to mention what a wonderful picture that they have submitted.Have you actually sold something on e-bay without using any type of outside services? If you use e-bays straight services, it isn't as simple to use the enter key to separate lines. You HAVE to use some basic html codes (which he probably didn't know/do-forgot). But the simple puncuation as another thing-IT SHOULD BE DONE! NO EXCUSES! It's not hard to do. I'm doing it right now. Look . . . . . . . . . every normal keyboard has a shift and periods and commas, USE THEM! (take a deep breath and relax now) O.K. better now, X-Mas can be hectic at times.
