  1. OK, I actually LIKED Zimag's Cosmic Corridor and Telesys games!
  2. Don't forget the alcohol! (isodrypyl)
  3. Did the progammer of Rabbit Transit previously work for Atari?
  4. Just don't make Elvis Escape!!!
  5. Will the name of the game be Crapper???
  6. I hope that someday the papers on the OS for the 1850XLD will be found.
  7. After learning about a prototype 16-bit called "GAZA" and its features from AHS, I was wondering if it could have beat the competition or would have been a collaboration with Amiga. Any thoughts? Curt?
  8. If you created the Michael Jackson game I'm sure it would receive... THE MICHAEL JACKSON SEAL OF QUALITY!
  9. After the Custer's Revenge crisis, isn't history repeating itself?
  10. If the women are taken out of the game, it is still controversial because it is about rape. For example, changing the sprites of women to little boys wouldn't help. (Michael Jackson's Moonwalker II?)
  11. Besides the 7800, the 5200 was to have a laserdisc add-on as well.
  12. The first 5200 game was Asteroids and the last was The Last Starfighter; both were unreleased.
  13. If Commodore hadn't of bought Amiga, we may have seen an expansion box for the 1850XLD!
  14. Phillips was interested in buying Atari, I think as early as 1983.
  15. I think the dumbest game for the 2600 is Sneak 'n Peek. I think even little kids would get bored with that game. If there were a runner-up it would probably be Strawberry Shortcake.
  16. I don't know how to help you, but I've broken 3 5200s. You're lucky that your unit powers up! I remember the resistors popping in one of mine; it sounded just like popcorn!
  17. While I respect Tramiel for being a concentration camp survivor and founding Commodore, I don't think he was right for Atari. Atari was almost entirely a video game company and Tramiel had no interest in video games; only at the last moment did Atari start making video games again is when Nintendo started to dominate. He pulled the plug on many innovative ideas, including the 1090XL Expansion System and accessories for the 7800. He also cancelled the computer line when it was finally starting to be a success in 1993 and his refusal to adapt to the present led to the downfall of Atari in 1996. I can't help but feel that Jack and his sons could have tried harder to run Atari.
  18. Actually, Black Widow was a conversion of Gravitar.
  19. Karate by Froggo has the worst graphics AND the worst gameplay!
  20. Has anyone thought of porting the Atari arcade game Black Widow to the 5200? I happen to love that game.
  21. For audio, I just don't think fake stereo is the way to go. Some record companies in the 60's fooled buyers into thinking that their records were stereo, but were really electronically rechanneled mono (fake stereo). When I hear fake stereo, it sounds like a speaker has gone dead when one channel is really just for bass. I prefer good ol' mono with my Atari.
  22. I would definitely like to see a CD-ROM drive. Atari was planning a laserdisc add-on in 1984, and a CD-ROM would be the modern solution.
  23. Atari Karaoke: sing along with the E.T. theme! The Senior Simulator: sit back, relax, and enjoy the most rewarding years of your life! (WHEELCHAIR CONTROLLER SOLD SEPERATELY) Virtual Voodoo: you can now torture another's soul using only 128 bytes! OUCH!: answer trivia questions, but be careful not to get a wrong answer or you will get shocked! Pee-Wee's Big Top: you've played Pee-Wee's Big Adventure, now get ready to play the spectacular sequel!
