    Well since the wife, kid and lack of funds means gaming on a budget I am thinkin going with a 360 might be the best course of action. Cause think a great system with the two main games that I want (God of war 3, Gran Turismo 5) haven't even come out yet, I think I'd rather grab a 360 and a bunch of games for the same price as a PS3 and 2 games.

     

    Much thanks to all for opinions, and suggestions.

     

    Now to decide arcade or elite, which has the better chance of a jasper?

    Ok,

     

    I am so loving the hardware on the PS3, but the price of and quantity of games has leaning towards 360. So I guess I am right back where I started. leaning towards a 360, but not yet ruling out a PS3

    I currently have no blu-ray movies so the blue-ray player is a deal breaker for me.

    I don't play enough to even bother with on-line.

    I remember that GOW is a sony property, which is one of the few reasons why I got a PSP.

    I know I'll eventually get the other but just don't know which to get first

    Ok,

     

    I'm finally gonna step into Modern gaming. I'm gonna grab either a PS3 or a 360. So I need help and advice as to which to grab.

    1) Not gonna be on-line, so live vs home isn't an issue

    2) play more RPGish/quest type, fighting, racing games.

    3) gonna be on an old TV so don't need HDMI or anything like that

    Would you recommend new vs used, and which version (elite vs arcade) (old PS3 vs slim) (which models of each to avoid/look for)

     

    I know alot of you have been using these systems for a while now and have done a much better job of keeping up with this stuff so I defer to ya'll

     

    So which system and what accessories do you suggest as well and thrownin out a few games wouldn't hurt either.

     

    Currently looking to get: Bioshock, mass effect 1&2, tekken 6, mortal kombat vs dc, dragon age:origins, batman arkham asylum, dead rising(360 only I know), God Of War 3 (the ps3 only game I want), Gran Turismo/Forsa 3, prince of persia

    Looking to avoid: COD(any and all), gituar hero/rock band/dj hero, Halo (in any incarnate) any FPS, most sports

    Could get but won't play AKA not quite sold on: GTA4, Assassins Creed 1&2, Redsient evil 5.

     

     

    So any experiences,suggestions, opinions would be appreciated.

    While I saw this thread yeaterday and just ignored it for what it was. I feel the need to chime in today.

    IMHO your an a$$hat, plain and simple. People waste your time BOO- F'IN WHOO. then don't sell here. And coming here to bitch about the horrible people in the rest of the world (other sites/epay) just makes you seem like a whiney bitch that I know I'd never buy from now. And I'm sure I'm not alone in this thought. So while my lack of purchases might not mean much to you, I'm sure someone else will be willing to accept my offer and the evil paypal by which it will be purchased.

     

    Even if you weren't a whiney little bitch I'd never do business with you simply for the way you talk to or at(in some cases) people. It might be just $20 to you but it is still my money and I feel a certain amount of RESPECT is due if you expect me to do business with you. While you may not be wal-mart, there are at least procedures for dealing with disrespectful people like you there. Just keep complaining to a manager untill you are treated properly. So I'll go take my $20 and go be happy at wal-mart then.

     

    So thanks for a good laugh and 10 minutes of my life that are truely wasted and that I'll never get back.

    I can't remember. If so, did ya'll already pay for it? I've been trying to get neo to make one extra cart of Doctor Who since I missed the claiming day.

    I hear where you are coming from z28in82, but yet at the same time I think we have some double standarding here. I paid for my Adventure2 well over a year before I actually got it. And, at the time I ordered it the game was supposedly finished. All the same there were few updates, and every time I asked about it I was told "oh, it will be worth the wait", and "these things take time".

    Anyays, like I said I hear where you are coming from, but Neo is a good guy and I'm sure there's legitimate reason for the delay. ;)

     

    Adventure II was a new game so everyone knew going in that it was a WIP, and delays would kinda be expected. Plus at least at the philly shows Al always had it in a 5200 and you could see the bugs and progress.

     

    And I don't mind working out bugs or anything that makes gameplay better. But the hold up for 2 months was over manuals. and now he wants to change labels. Cosmetic stuff just seems like BS excuses to me. Maybe I'm wrong but neo doesn't even keep people updated. We have to continue to hound him for info which just sounds like stall tactic to me. Like I said before this is the last time for me so it doesn't matter. If others think it is wortht he wait that is fine and if neo is content running his business like that then more power to him. But I've worked plenty of retail and customer service and to me this is unacceptable, but hey to each their own.

    Chicky and I used to love dealing with neo, never had problems before but now that this is the second game in a row I'm not gonna let there be a 3rd. But that just means someone else get a copy and i hope they enjoy it.
